Zed is being harmlessly nibbled on by some sort of hard shelled creature.

Zombs' efforts to eat Aza seem to be ineffectual.

Update 3: Harmless Nibbling
 
:: Climb out of tree and head for the rightward water.
 
:: Climb tree.
 
:: Go back up the tunnel/pit, then start making some dirt/mud bricks from the excess dirt and the nearby water.
 
::Dig deeper.
 
:: With help of axe, begin constructing tree fort
 
:: make dirt bricks
