Gender:

Biography:
Lan-Ying and her older brother were born in a small town that rest upon the eastern border of Unali to a well known couple who acted as the doctors of the small village. Hidden within forests and nature, the small town rarely ever encountered danger and so rarely suffered attack as enemies rarely spotted the small piece of land that harbored a few families. So, until the twins turned fifteen, they were free from watching violence other than the times their father taught them swordsmanship and they spared. When they did turned fifteen however, the town was raided by enemies and many were either taken hostage or killed publicly. For a few months the small town was under the rule as they were unable to ask for help. Many disobeyed the enemies demands and slowly people were killed or tortured. Lan-ying and her brother decided to later retaliate. Having gathered confidence and disguises, the twins had used the darkness of the night to their advantage to remove the leader of the group that took over their home. Leaving most of the soldiers dead, they escaped and then went to ask for help to be sent to the town. The twins later decided to travel, their parents being in the large amount that were publicly killed, so that they could gain more experience on sword styles and battle. They later settled down when joining the academy.

Personality:
Lan-Ying is gentle, innocent and generally kind to everyone one she meets. Naive to most things she is often dragged off by Long-Wei when anything she is ignorant to is mentioned. Due to her brothers protective nature, there is a lot of things she doesn't know and her sense of curiousity is dangerous as she will go to any length to find out. Other than that, Lan-Ying is generally quite sociable and respectful to anyone she meets. Confident and optimistic, she is rarely seen down or negative unless within a situation she has to be calm, calculative and quick. She has a better sense of judgement than her brother but her skills remain slightly less than her older twin. In short, she would be the tactician and he would be he fighter. She is more likely to take a passive route if possible but she has and will take the aggressive one if it saves more people. She can be quite manipulative of Long-Wei though.

Biography:
Long-Wei and his younger sister were born in a small town that rest upon the eastern border of Unali to a well known couple who acted as the doctors of the small village. Hidden within forests and nature, the small town rarely ever encountered danger and so rarely suffered attack as enemies rarely spotted the small piece of land that harbored a few families. The twins later decided to travel, their parents being in the large amount that were publicly killed, so that they could gain more experience on sword styles and battle. They later settled down when joining the academy.

Personality:
Long-Wei finds little to like in people. Anti-social would probably be the correct term. In any situation he is more likely to sit and insult the person or simply ignore them all together. He is incredibly stubborn, leading him to be disobedient and rude. Cold, cruel and generally providing any proof of care to anything but a mission or someone who has warmed up to the swordsman, he is normally hated and few even try to become friends with him. However he does love his sister and peace. Normally seen training, meditating or forced to be with others due to Lan-Ying, he is strict with his schedule to a point it is considered abnormal. He can be caring, protective and warm to some people if they fit a similar description to Lan-ying or anyone that he believes needs to be protected. He respects few and if he does respect someone he will show that in his actions and words.

@Razgriz I agree. Can you please make a post describing the town and academy or something of the sort with a little bit of lore of the place? It's just to get us started so we know what to do or where we should head off to.

Name: Ryujin (Dragon God in Japanese)

Age: 19

Gender: Male

Picture:
finished_by_jasson78.jpg

Biography: He carries his history with him, etched in his armor wherever he walks. His mother and father were two valiant warlords of the Dorangonkipa (Dragon keeper) Lineage. It was rumored that his Clan were the guardians of a mighty Dragon's soul that would be birthed into the clan's mightiest of chosen. This soul would empower the vessel with the strength and skill of a Dragon, and unfortunately that vessel was Ryu. Marked by the dragon shaped birth-mark on the back of his neck, sharp sapphire eyes, and three inch natural fangs, Ryujin was the chosen. As he grew so did his mutant features. The scientists in the family examined him and considered his accessories as just that; attachments added on to look good. But as his powers of flame came in, they abandoned all suspicion.

From the age of 12 he was treated as a god: worshiped, pampered, trained to the highest extent, but kept far from too much danger. Eventually he sought it out on his own by sneaking out periodically in the dark of night; he picked fight with rival clans in the streets, clearing them out or bringing them down. Prideful was he in everything he committed. However his ambition soon caught up with him one day when he returned to find his home ablaze. His aunt the only survivor, besides himself, she took him into the city where they began anew under the shroud of secrecy.

Personality: Like the flames of Hell he is relentless and unforgiving towards those of darkness. His righteousness belongs to that which is morally judged and shall char the world in an unholy blaze of fury, should the time come. If he finds you of no importance then you shall be spared. But pose a threat, or show yourself as scum to be purged, then step up to the stake and take your punishment.

Name: Xelli-Von Beau.

Age: Ninteen.

Gender: Female.

Picture:

Beau stands at an leggy 6'0"
Beau has a stone tail that is about the length of her outstretched arm.
Beau has odd eyes, her sclera is a light baby yellow whilst her irises are a bright golden. Her pupil is a pasty white.
The gem hanging from her lace neck choker is not a gem, but a container full of toxic gas. Just for defense purposes or to help escape unwanted brawls. The smell is rather harsh on the nose or mouth, and will leave you coughing for a while.
Biography:
Beau had a strict and precise life, having to deal solely on outshining her older siblings as she was bland middle child. She couldn't dance, she couldn't sing, and she couldn't find sense in competition. For that, she was often dismissed by her family and seemed to be the black sheep with her twin sister, Amarde. Beau often has this impenetrable love for nature and it's energy immersed in it's silent thoughts. She usually got along with the earth and it's soil. She isn't the best at it, but Beau used to paint every beautiful landscape she saw, going on hours to try and capture it's beauty. She was always taught the skill of determination and self-discipline. That has been driven into her skull so many times, it's become a part of her now. Figuring out her daughter's 'lack of talent', her Mother became the string puller of her life and regularly shoved Beau into training. From fencing to sewing, just to impress her disapproving mother, Beau would whip herself into back-breaking shape. Rarely did her Mother appreciate her success. She just wasn't good enough for her mother's eyes, and became more oppressed under her tormentor's sharp heels.
Once her Mother became disinterested, old and senile, by that time Beau had become a book with no words. She was so accustomed to following orders from everyone else, she had grown into a person who cannot decided what she wants. Beau had begun to search for that little girl curled up in a field of grass, the one who had actual meaning. She has encountered that part of herself, and is now currently building upon it.

Personality:
Beau is a serious and hard headed girl, often very curious in a very blunt way. She often has dark humor, but still manages to keep under state of not being too social with others. She is quick minded, a natural leader and usually searching for efficiency or advantageous measures. She is highly sophisticated and self-disciplined, not taking pity in the lazy and feeble minded. She can be rather cruel as any one else can be, but with an outlandish blunt approach. She is not very afraid of confronting others or being brutally honest, but that can be a curse, as she can't seem to control it. If you are hiding something from Beau, she is quick to pick it up and sniff it out. She may not be the best detective, but highly observant, you better be a good actor to sneak past her.
She is not one to be cunning or sarcastic, but often says things that come off that way when she honestly didn't mean it in that form. She has a small sense of innocence considering she is socially-awkward. She's not really accustomed to normal lives, she all she's known is following orders and running around in hers. Beau can become really bossy or in-your-face when it's something she really wants or has to do. She can also become very possessive or oddly obsessive with things or others, it may seem a little off for her. Beau isn't all tough and chewy around her friends, though. She becomes kind of like a little puppy that'd follow or chase the things she likes, maybe blindly admire it from afar, or become very attached to it.

Element: Earth.

Blade Name: 'Lig in die duisternis' which translates into 'A light in the darkness'. She actually does call it by it's whole name instead of just 'Lig'.

Name: Guan "Yu" Yagyu

Age: 36

Gender: Male

Picture: Here.

Biography: Named after a famed warrior of supposedly peerless might, Guan grew up as the heir apparent to a clan of fighters. While originally schooled in martial arts, he only truly came into his own when he was first allowed to wield a sword. Taking to it like a fish takes to water, Guan soon became enthralled with the art of swordsmanship. At age 14, the young swordsman had mastered everything the swordmasters of the clan were willing to teach him at the time. Soon growing bored, he challenged one of them to a fight. The fight was surprisingly close, with both combatants only narrowly escaping death. Afterwards, the masters agreed to teach him the more advanced techniques.

When he turned 19, Guan finished mastering all that the clans swordmasters had to teach him. He looked at his clan, carefully considered his options, and decided that clan politics wasn't worth his time. Taking the ancestral blade, he left the clan in the dead of night, heading out into the world to do the two things he loved above all else: fighting strong opponents and becoming a better swordsman.

At age 36, Guan has come to realize that his journey is one without end. As the thrill and joy of battle and improvement haven't degraded in the slightest, he thinks that's just fine. He now wanders the Kingdoms, fighting and growing stronger. He will do so until the day he dies. And who knows? Perhaps even the afterlife is simply another battlefield...

Personality: Guan cares nothing for good or evil. He only wants to grow stronger and improve his craft to perfection, and he will fight against (and train with) anyone if it helps him achieve those goals. Despite this, he does have some moral standards. For instance, he believes that killing someone who's markedly weaker than you (or who can't fight back, for whatever reason) is a gutless move unworthy of a warrior. He's fairly straightforward, and his honesty sometimes gets him into trouble when his opinions are...unflattering. He can be friendly when he wants to be, but he won't hesitate to kill anyone he considers an opponent.

Blade Name: Shoukyaku (Incineration)
