you can play around with the width/height codes to make it wider or taller

Oh, I have been doing that; I have the length at 55%.

What I want to know is; When I place it, it's always left left aligned.

How would I center it? Like this?

Nevermind, I just increased the width to 95% and its pretty much like a vector.

This roleplay will take place between games Halo 3 and Halo 4. It will begin just after the end of Halo 3 where the Arbiter, Thel 'Vadam, agreed to a concord of relations with those under his command, and sympathetic to his cause--those of the Human U.N.S.C forces--the Brute-Covenant forces, and the virulent, parasitic disaster that was called 'The Flood' during the 'Great Schism' in 2553. The major civil conflict would go on to last 6 more years. The Spartan IV Initiative hadn't yet begun, so all able-bodied Spartan II's and Spartan III's as well as some lingering Spartan I's, were formed into battle groups with O.D.S.T's and Marines and other infantry. These groupings of legends and heroes were given but one task: Find the Halo Arrays, and stop them and any Covenant-Brute forces from firing it, at all costs. If just one were allowed to engage, it would mean the deaths of not just millions or billions of lives, but trillions.

With each Halo Array capable of destroying life within a 25,000 light year radius, by saturating an entire galaxy with lethal dosages of radiation, it became a definite threat that the U.N.S.C and the Separatist Fleet of Retribution led by the Arbiter and Rtas 'Vadum, couldn't choose to ignore. More troubling were the Halo rings its ability to be fine tuned so the pulse can also allow for the selective extermination of lifeforms with varying degrees of neural complexity. But, it was with great doubt that the Brutes or even the Sangheili that still remained with the remnants of the Covenant, could manage to pull off such an attempt with the advanced Forerunner technology without the help of the San'Shyuumrace, otherwise called 'Prophets'. The U.N.S.C, however, was not about to allow there to be even a slight chance. With seven rings in total in the Milky Way Galaxy, the activation of just one would be catastrophic.

You are under the command of Spartan 006 Matthew. Matthew was formerly a member of Gray Team but was selected to be the leader of a new team, due to his sheer experience: the Cerberus Team. Highly accomplished and competent, Matthew was always able to make tough decisions, even if it led to the deaths of his brothers and sisters under his command. He's survived through two teams before your placement on his team. His peers call him "The Reaper" because those under his command don't have a long life expectancy. But, what most fail to notice, is the hard decisions he's had to make to save even more lives than he'd lost. Matthew carries the holotags of all eight of his former teammates. Matthew is a Spartan-III.

.

Spartan II's- Received 8 years of special forces training from the ages of 6-14. They then underwent their augmentations procedure, the technology at the time was crude so the procedures killed 30 of the Spartans and crippled another 12. The survivors eventually grew into their augmentations and became incredibly effective soldiers, we don't know how many are left for certain but the ones we know of, show no sign of slowing down.
.

Spartan III- SPARTAN-III's came next Project: Chrysanthemum: they weren't kidnapped and were all volunteers when they were recruited by ONI for the program; mostly orphaned children, they ranged in age from 4-6 on average. They were designed to be cheaper and better, depending on their company they received 6-8 years of improved Spartan-II training and then underwent their augmentations procedure. The technology had advanced to that point so the Spartan-III's augmentations produced the same results as the Spartan-II augmentations but with a 100% success rate and worked on a larger portion of the population. The downside to the Spartan-III program was its budget, most of the Spartan-III's were equipped with SPI(Semi-Powered Infiltration Armor) armor which, while incredibly advanced, couldn't compare to MJOLNIR that only a handful of each company received. There's probably 300+ Spartan-III's still around.

Though more advanced than the Orbital Drop Shock Troopers' body armor, it is far less advanced and less powerful than the Mjolnir Powered Assault Armor used by the SPARTAN-IIs. Its main benefit is that it is drastically cheaper to produce than the Mjolnir Armor. The SPI armor was designed with an emphasis on stealth rather than on raw power. It features special photo-reactive panels that mimic the surrounding textures, effectively being the UNSC equivalent to the Covenant's Active camouflage systems. It has been described as "part legionnaire mail, part tactical body armor, and part chameleon" by both Tom-B292 and Dr. Catherine Halsey.

The SPI Armor Mark II was a more advanced version of the SPI Mark I, first used by the drill instructors of Beta Company, and then by the SPARTANs of Beta Company. They had new photo-reactive coating to boost their camouflaging properties. There were also numerous experimental refits to the ballistic gel layers, upgraded software suites, and other functions. Although the new photo-reactive coating could mimic a wide range of electromagnetic radiation, it was still sensitive to overload, so the wearer would still be vulnerable for several seconds after a flashbang or plasma hit while the panels reset.

Advantages

  • The armor is significantly cheaper and easier to mass-produce than Mjolnir Armor.
  • The system includes photo-reactive panels that act as an Active camouflage for the wearer.
  • The armor is easier to transport, because it is not as bulky or as heavy as the Mjolnir Armor.
  • The armor has an efficient cooling system and is significantly difficult to detect even with thermal scanners.
  • The faceplate has an automatic 5x zoom ability.
Disadvantages
  • It had no energy shielding system, unlike the SPARTAN-IIs' MJOLNIR Mark V and Mark VI models, making the user far more vulnerable to enemy fire and a major contributor to the high fatality rate of the SPARTAN-III's. The exception to this limitation could be found in the SPARTAN-III Headhunters: their experimental armor was known to be equipped with energy shields, due to their elite nature and value. However, power must be drawn from the energy shields to recharge the suit's Active camouflage module.
  • It does not grant the SPARTAN-IIIs enhanced strength, speed or agility, unlike MJOLNIR.
  • Since the photo-reactive plates take time to recover after explosions such as a flashbang grenade and plasma hits, the SPARTAN-III are visible until the plates recover. With the exception of the Headhunters' suits, the SPI armor does not feature true Active camouflage systems.
  • It is made of a less durable, less dense alloy than Mjolnir Armor: Kelly-087 dented Holly-G003's chest plate with her fist when first encountering the SPARTAN-IIIs.
  • The SPI armor has an air supply that will last only seven minutes, while the MJOLNIR has an air supply which can sustain a wearer for ninety minutes.
  • The SPI armor cannot be used for long periods of time without the cooling, and the system failing.
  • It lacks the ability to support an onboard Artificial intelligence construct, unlike the Mark V, Mark VI, and all further MJOLNIR generations.
    .
*I've relegated Spartan I's and 1.1's to a much lower tier because I felt that they really didn't compare to Spartan II's and Spartan-III's, they are virtually O.D.S.T's and Marines that are more resilient and a little bit stronger.

Spartan-I- The members of the ORION program was augmented soldiers, using new training methods and the latest breakthroughs in biochemical developments. Augmentations to the ORION soldiers included muscular enhancement injections, pulmonary respiratory enhancements, retina-inversion injections and cochlear enhancement tuning. In addition, mental augmentations were performed to enhance brain functions including enhanced learning capabilities to allow a subject to learn at a faster and higher rate and enhanced motor skills to improve body movements.

The ORION training regime was very difficult and included many tests both mental and physical, including work done in the lab. All sixty-five initial volunteers made it through the training and augmentation procedures and were placed on active duty sometime after completing their training. After their initial deployment and success, funding for training the next group of SPARTAN-Is was approved, and within a few years, the ORION program had one-hundred-sixty-five active duty personnel.

.

Spartan 1.1-"Spartan 1.1." is an unofficial designation given to the children of the Spartan-Is. While born ordinary, it is suspected that they are subjected to numerous augmentations at infancy.Although they were not as advanced as the cybernetically- and surgically-enhanced Spartan-IIs or Spartan-IIIs, or even their own chemically augmented parents, they were still physically superior to baseline humans.

Augmentations included a higher-than-average intelligence, increased speed, increased strength through enhanced muscle density, enhanced vision, immunity to most diseases, enhanced hearing, an increased lung capacity, a heightened sense of balance, an increased cell regeneration, faster than normal reflexes.

Spartan 1.1's had an inability to become intoxicated through alcohol, though they can get high through an unspecified illegal recreational drug, as well as by painkillers. They also required less sleep to perform their duties.

*All Spartans are immune to the Flood Virus due to their augmentations.

.

O.D.S.T- Serving as the rapid reaction force of the UNSC Marine Corps, Orbital Drop Shock Troopers are distinguished by their unconventional method of deployment, known as "transorbital support interdiction", in which the troopers are dropped to the surface of a world aboard small, purpose-built deployment vehicles. This allows them to conduct a variety of missions against targets that more conventional forces cannot approach undetected.

O.D.S.Ts—trained for any kind of landing operation—expect to arrive at a world with hellish conditions, only to enter incredibly difficult combat zones. O.D.S.T deployment via SOEIVs is often considered more effective than drop ship deployment, as it allows for a spacecraft to make a quick pass over a world and deploy hundreds of O.D.S.Ts in S.O.E.I.Vs in rapid succession. Additionally, since O.D.S.Ts are deployed separately, rather than together in one ship, the casualty rate of SOEIV deployment is lower than that of conventional dropship deployment.

.

The Breakdown:

There will be 4 Spartans of the II and III variety; Matthew the leader, and three others whose profiles I will look over to decide will fit best for these roles. We will be starting on the Punic-Class Supercarrier, Winter's Silence, where we embark to Installation 01. When we arrive, however, the ship and its escorts will be caught off guard, by a splinter faction of Covenant Forces that will destroy the escorts and force the Winter's Solace to crash land on the ring world. From there we stage ground battles to fight our way to the control room as well as to defend the grounded ship. Once the Ringworld has been permanently disabled, the Spartans, led by Matthew, will seek to take control of the Unrelenting Retribution as a means to get the surviving crew members of the Winter's Silence home.

Be warned. The main Spartan II's and III's will be killed off at intervals throughout the storyline, so please make a secondary character as well from Spartan I's, 1.1's and ODST's. Please post full profiles.
I think we should delegate between us three, what our specialty fields are; Close Quarters Combat, Sniping, Heavy Weapons, and Explosives.

Close Combat:(Matthew) Knives, Type-1 Energy Swords, M45D Tactical Shotgun, M7/Caseless Submachine Gun/ Suppressed SMG, Hand-to-hand, Gravity Hammer, Needler, Plasma Rifle, Plasma Pistol, Energy Dagger, Jiralhanae Combat Knife

Sniper: Sniper Rifle, Beam Rifle, Needle Rifle, M99 "Stanchion" Anti-material Rifle,

Heavy Weapons:(@Dipper) Spartan Laser, M247H Heavy Machine Gun (turret tore off emplacement), M247 General Purpose Machine Gun, M739 LMG, Flamethrower

Explosives:(@Rowdybull) M319 40mm Individual Grenade Launcher, Thermite Grenades, Napalm Grenade, M363 Remote Projectile Detonator, C-7 Foaming Explosives, M41 Surface-to-Surface Rocket Medium Anti-Vehicle/Assault Weapon

*One character for each class. I'm gonna be CQC. All secondary weapons are either MA5D(Assault Rifle Halo 4) or the M6H handgun(Halo 4) by default. Think of these as Loadouts; you may pick up enemy weapons when necessary as all Spartan II's and Spartan III's can use these weapons. However, some have a natural affinity for certain types of weaponry.

⌜ABOUT⌟

● Name: Matthew 006
● Gender: Male
● Age: 43
● Place of birth: Arcadia
● Height: 6'10"
● Weight: 265lbs

● Appearance: Matthew stands out amongst his fellow brothers and sisters; while some have the dark, crew cut hair and even some have no hair at all, his hair is s white as freshly fallen snow and his eyes are piercing and cold. His skin is not the bronze it should be, but an ashen color. He's somewhat of an anomaly, amongst his peers, and at first, it often got him ostracized for not looking like one of 'them'. He was even expected to be decommissioned--that is until they witnessed his willpower, ferocity and fighting aptitude. After a few of the "others" were left beaten and bloody on the floor, it was clear he was going places.

Matthew wears a charcoal colored, Mark VII Powered Assault Armor, with a crimson colored visor. His right shoulder pauldron is in actuality, a Lekgolo helmet painted the same color. He is the only one with the new Mark VII suit.

●Weapons
1.) M45D Tactical Shotgun
2.) M6H Magnum Sidearm
3.) 4x M9 HE-DP grenade
4.) Jiralhanae Combat Knife
5.) Type-1 Energy Blade "Bloodbane'
6.) BR85N Battle Rifle

⌜PERSONAL⌟

Personality: Matthew, much like his fellow Grays, is a lone wolf. Their advanced training doesn't so much make them believe they are 'better' than any other Spartan--at least, not in willpower. But in sheer tenacity, they feel anything less than another Spartan would simply slow them down. Matthew has shown himself to be quite reliable time and again and deviously adaptable. His threshold for pain seems almost inhuman even amongst Spartans of his caliber and bears many scars from such grueling torture as plasma burns and is pockmarked where crystalline shards of glass-like ammunition had exploded in his skin. Extremely intellectual, he is known to be casting his opinions from primarily a strategic and tactical standpoint--even amongst his commanders.

He isn't the tallest, the strongest, the fastest, or even the smartest. But, he is the one willing to make the hard choices and live with the consequences no matter how bad it might hurt in the end.

What did I do, and how do I fix it?

Nevermind, I fixed it. x.X

Okay, new question; as you know I have a space and stars background. Now, if I were to insert a PNG with a transparent background, would that overlay, or override the space background?

I was thinking about using something like this:
latest

That's a lot bigger than I anticipated, but I can resize it.

But, the logo has a transparent background and I was wondering if it would overlay on the stars. Though the black would hard to see.

If you insert it as a regular image, it shouldn't override the background as long as the background is completely transparent.

Okay, cool. I might just toy with it in a separate window just to be safe. If I lost all that code...x.X Id throw my laptop.

Would there be a way overlay the words over the image? Like, have it overlay the background, and in turn, have:

O.D.S.T- Serving as the rapid reaction force of the UNSC Marine Corps, Orbital Drop Shock Troopers are distinguished by their unconventional method of deployment, known as "transorbital support interdiction", in which the troopers are dropped to the surface of a world aboard small, purpose-built deployment vehicles. Writen over it, or would I just have to shrink it down and fit it between the paragraphs?

What would I put for Background-size if I just wanted it to over lay a specific point?

Sorry but I'm not quite sure if I understand your question? You want the image to just be cover a certain amount of text?

If that's the case, then the first step would be to determine just how big of an area of the text you want to cover. Set your background size to this. I suggest using a px value or a smaller percentage value. Just play around with it till you're satisfied.

Edit: More info on the background size values that you can use [ link ]

Next is to determine where exactly is this text you want to have the background on. By default, a background image positions itself on the upper left corner of the div. To change the position to somewhere else, use the background-position property. The syntax for it is as follows:

background-position: x y;

The first value defines the movement of it according to the x-axis, the second defines the movement along the y-axis. Both px and percent values or a combination of both are accepted by the two parameters. Other values accepted are center, right, left, top, and bottom.

I'll try to get a sample up in a bit. On mobile rn.

Edit 2: still on mobile, but here's a sample

Background on upper left:

Of course, background position isn't limited to those three values. There are many more as I've mentioned above. Those are just some samples of how they work.

O.D.S.T deployment via S.O.E.I.Vs is often considered more effective than drop ship deployment, as it allows for a spacecraft to make a quick pass over a world and deploy hundreds of O.D.S.Ts in S.O.E.I.Vs in rapid succession.

Be warned. The main Spartan II's and Spartan III's will be killed off at intervals throughout the storyline, so please make a secondary character as well from Spartan I's, 1.1's and ODST's. Please post full profiles.
I think we should delegate between us three, what our specialty fields are; Close Quarters Combat, Sniping, Heavy Weapons, and Explosives.

Close Combat:(Matthew) Knives, Type-1 Energy Swords, M45D Tactical Shotgun, Suppressed SMG, Hand-to-hand, Gravity Hammer, Energy Dagger, Jiralhanae Combat Knife

Assault: Needler, Plasma Rifle, M7/Caseless Submachine Gun, MA%D Assault Rifle (only class to upgrade the MA5D), Plasma Pistol, Plasma Repeater

Sniper: (@Seishin Ryuu ) Sniper Rifle, Beam Rifle, Needle Rifle, M99 "Stanchion" Anti-material Rifle,

Matthew wears a bluish-gray colored, Mark VII Powered Assault Armor, with a crimson colored visor. His right shoulder pauldron is in actuality, a Lekgolo helmet painted the same color. He is the only one with the new Mark VII suit with the Dark Pheonix Battlegroup

The Mark VII Mjolnir Powered Assault Armor was the seventh version of the Mjolnir Powered Assault Armor series and last variant of the armor envisioned. This armor was created by Dr. Catherine Halsey and produced as a replacement for the Mark VI, but was still in the prototype phase as of 2553; it is capable of passively upgrading itself while the user is in cryo-sleep or if the armor is on standby by using nanotechnology, and is presumably capable of exo-atmospheric insertion as intended by Dr. Catherine Halsey.

●Weapons
1.) M45D Tactical Shotgun
2.) M6H Magnum Sidearm
3.) 4x M9 HE-DP grenade
4.) Jiralhanae Combat Knife
5.) Type-1 Energy Blade "Bloodbane'
6.) BR85N Battle Rifle

⌜PERSONAL⌟

Personality: Matthew, much like his fellow Grays, is more of a lone wolf.

I was wanting to use a larger image:

That has a trans parent background, to fill the space where it has:

like have it centered. But will it affect the texts? Cause I have them shadowed to show up better. Will the words hover over the image or should I keep it as is, located on the side of the text?

@Tribulation It shouldn't affect the text-shadow that you've already got. However, the readability of the text might suffer a bit cause of the colour of the image you want to use, but I'm not too sure about this. I suggest making a thread in the test chambers to test it out and see what happens.

So, I'm trying to figure out an appropriate size to make my pictures for this particular code

Code:

[/B]
Name - Full name, any nicknames, and how you properly pronounce their name. Refrain from using any canon character's names and/or surnames.

Age - Unless you are a vampire, your character can be any age within the range of 18-100 years old. As for vampires, your character should not be older than 500 years old and please include their exact date of birth and what age they were turned into forever.

Nationality - Where they are from.

Languages - What languages your character speaks. Be reasonable. It's normal to speak other languages, but indicate their fluency by using this: (F) Fluent: they speak the language with no difficulty whatsoever; (C) Conversational: they are able to make small talk and understand most of the language; (P) Polite: they can communicate well enough for socializing at public events, but conversation can be difficult; (B) Broken: they can piece together enough phrases to communicate basic ideas:

Powers & Ability - There is no need to re-list what I have already written about your character (species-wise), simply tell us what ability they use the most or what power they have mastered more than the others. Be reasonable. Your character is susceptible to physical trauma and/or damage and most-likely will be injured or beaten in combat.

Appearance - Pictures are not required, but they are encouraged. However, I can only stress this enough, please use artistic images for your characters and/or headshots, face claims, and etc.. Using images of real people is my own way of describing characters, but refrain from using the faces of any canon characters and make sure you and another player do not have the same face claim (unless they are twins). That said, I restrict the usage of anime/manga characters. That artwork is not what I am looking for and there is nothing wrong with it, but I simply don't want it used here.

In addition to an image, include a short, written description of your character with exact height and weight measurements for combat purposes.

Personality & Brief Background - Try to mesh these two together to the best of your ability. I expect biography to come out during the roleplay and some character's bios we may already know. A general overview (a few short paragraphs would be enough) of your character's demeanor, habits, ticks, and whatnot should go here. Character development is key, but personality tends to change much more slowly overtime. Editing this as your character develops, while adding key-points on why they've changed, is your choice altogether. As you flesh out their personality, try to add tidbits of their background and why they have come to be that way.

Aspirations & Regrets - What is your character good at? What do they dream to become? What have they lost and now feel an immense pain when they think about it? Do they have any budding skills?

Misc. - Anything else you want others to know about your character. Any funny comments or important information to share goes right here.

But the thing is that this code keeps blowing the pictures out of proportion when I resize them... How do I get this to stop, moreover, what size should I make my pictures to keep things centered and focusing on the person and not the boobs? >_>

the pics i'm trying to resize, if this helps any, are these two:
