Lixi is a friendly, happy-go-lucky kind of girl at heart. Free spirited and adventurous, but reluctant to interact with other people. A bit of a trouble maker, but only because she's curious and ends up in places she shouldn't be. She doesn't really like fighting but won't hesitate if she has to use force. She complains that Fire Bending doesn't really suit her and is fascinated by the other three bending types, especially when they're used to create something. Her sweet tooth will occasionally get her into trouble, when she sees something that looks really sweet she has a tendency to just shove it into her mouth without asking or paying first. She values her friends, but can be extremely shy around new people. She's likely to cower if someone is scary or gets angry with her.

Lixi was born in the Fire Nation, her father Jian a soldier that fought in the war against the Earth Kingdom, and her mother Wu who raised her while her father was away. Her mother raised her until she was 5 years old, at which point the war had ended and her father returned home. Her father began training her in Fire Bending not long after, despite her mother's protests of being too young. Her father was strict and only showed her how to use Fire Bending as a weapon. He had good intentions but the experience caused her to dislike Fire Bending itself and it's destructive nature. Nevertheless she learned how to fight from a true soldier, so she at least took a little pride in that she was a capable fighter.

This distaste for Fire Bending caused her no shortage of trouble during school, as she would be made fun of for not using her bending, and made it hard for her to approach new people. She heard tales of the other types of bending, Earth Bending that could make castles, Water Bending that could make fountains, Air Bending that could let you fly, all things that excited her even if they were exaggerated. When playing with other kids she would try to imitate other bending, making her even less liked by the proud Fire Bending kids. Even the parents didn't like it and her father had to force her to stop.

Her mother, wanting to give her a break from her father's strict tutelage, began taking her on trips to Republic City whenever she could. It was there Lixi learned more about the world, discovered the amazing variety of sweets, and saw other types of bending on display. Her mother would take her to shows and stop for people performing on the streets just to see Lixi light up when something new was made from stone or ice. Lixi told her mother she wanted to learn Air Bending so she could fly, but instead was told to never say that around her father. Over the years of visits she became accustomed to Republic City and fell in love with it.

So once she turned 16 she decided she would run away. She knew how to get to Republic City by now, had been there often enough to be familiar with the place, so she saved up a modest amount of money, took a bag of supplies, left a note on the table, and went to livei n Republic City. She didn't have the heart to tell her parents, specifically her dad, that she was leaving face to face. She felt bad about it, but she wanted to live in the city more than anything and live her own life. She'd asked not to come looking for her and continued to write letters to her mother and father. Her father was actually more upset and concerned at her departure than her mother was, but her mother understood where Lixi was coming from and convinced him not to force her back home. One day she'd have to see them again and apologize to them both, but for now she was free and living the life in Republic City.

In a cheap, run down apartment, working as a waitress for a nearby restaurant to barely scrap by paying the rent. And she loves it.

Age 17 came around and Alice still had no friends, but now she was trying. Her day's were spent out in the village talking to people, well, trying to talk to people. At night Alice still practiced her fire bending tho, not a seriously as before. Months passed and she started learning to talk without stuttering and had made 3 friends. Granted she wasn't very close with them but, now she had people her own age to talk to.

Now 19 years old she's moved to the United Republic of Nations in hopes of finding her father and expanding her knowledge of fire bending.
