Hey, if you're interested in any more people I could go for this.

Name: Trilby Zackett

Gender: Female

Age: 23

Powers: Trilby can control the temperature at specific points in space. Where there is water she can make ice or steam or ice. She never has to worry about being too hot or too cold and can affect people's health with her heatwaves and cold snaps.

Personality: Trilby is pretty much a typical New-Yorker. She keeps to herself and doesn't trust people unless the situation demands it. It's not that she hates people, she would stop to help someone in need even if it inconvenienced her, which is more than could be said for most people. She's just a realist and doesn't like to sugarcoat the mechanics of functioning in a dog-eat-dog world. She's pretty into feminism. She probably thinks she's cooler than you, but to be fair, she probably is. Her entire life revolves around making art and enjoying the art of others.

Short History: Compared to the rest of the world, Trilby had a fairly uneventful childhood growing up in the Midwest with a mother, father, and brother. When the cloaked figures first began to visit her she thought they were a sign that she was perhaps developing schizophrenia, which her mother had suffered from for as long as she could remember. Mrs. Zackett's disease was managed well enough by the drugs but they slowed her down, made her personality "watery" so-to-speak. When she was off of the meds, however, she was impossible to manage. This was how Trilby learned that some things should be managed privately, whether they be the voices in your head or the strange powers that spring from your fingertips, they do not belong in normal functioning society and so you must suppress or reinterpret them.
When Trilby moved to New York after high school she changed her opinions on this a little bit. As a sculptor she realized her gifts were just that, gifts and started to cut corners on her work by using them. The convenience offered by these skills helped her become a popular enough sculptor to pay her rent without moonlighting. The messages from the cloaked figures became increasingly troublesome at this time (she honestly hadn't expected to be followed) and she began to fantasize about finding out their true nature.

Special Item: A small plush voodoo doll her mother had helped her make as a child. She keeps it on a chain attached to her belt loop.

Okay, they're back. If this gets off the ground, then I've got both charries to play with, if I'm capable of holding them both. If not, I'll start off with one, and work the second in when the time allows.

Name: Abygail Upton
Gender: F Age: 21
Powers:
Illusions: Most of her illusions comes from the act of bending light, but she also has a trace of psychic illusion abilities that allow her to also twist the manner in which a person perceives her illusion.
Now, to have the ability to unknowingly alter a person's will is not what this is all about. This is, more or less, a game of the mind - turning it against itself in a battle of understanding. This battle tends to work against all the senses, which only enhances the illusion to the point where the mind loses what is make-believe, only believing that it's truth instead.

Just put it this way: If you see your hand burning, feels the heat, the pain as your flesh balls up into charred black masses of puss and ash, and you smell it and hear the crispiness as it cooks down to the muscle and bones...then, you will believe that your hand is burning. Although, the others around you who are watching you flail your hand madly will only consider your mind at a loss and either leaves you in your madness or try to calm you down - they see the truth; your hand is not burning. You will lose yourself in this illusion - in some cases, to the point of dying from your delusions.

Invisibility: A little mouse who loves to hide whenever possible, Abygail bends light to hide her presence during the day, or maneuvers the shadows to hide within. Other times, she will forego these tools and just alter a person's perception of what's before them with another trick of the mind - creating an illusion of nothing there, when - in fact - she's standing before them. She tends to use this ability for anything and anyone, not just herself. Some would say that her skills are more psychic than anything, which they would be right. But, she hasn't found a teacher to help her home in her skills to upgrade them towards such. She would love to be able to stretch her illusions within a person's mind in order to lock into their nightmares and dreams; using them as tools against them. This is a trick she's seeking aid in.

Personality:
She's like the teacher's pet, always striving to be perfect in everything she did, knowing that the rewards for such were priceless. She's very immature in other areas of her life, but has the ability to learn quickly by just watching others. This is the reason why she's such a strong musician. She's not fully aware of why her mother is not around. For years she's dreamed of her, recalls playing with her on the piano or singing songs with her. Her father has been missing as well, but her grandmother kept her occupied with studies and performances all her life to where Aby didn't have time to think of them anymore.

Short History: Music has been a part of her life forever. A child protégée in piano, flute, violin and voice; Aby's been performing with her grandmother, an accomplished pianist, since she was two. Living around the world has it's perks, but because her grandmother was so protective of her, Aby never really made any long-lasting friendships or relationships, never really done anything that could be considered remotely normal, and has had little to no major interaction with others outside her family and touring company. She's rather immature about the world and its people, and her main teaching about such comes from her high-strung, hard-nose, Irish grandmother with a bit of Blackfoot Indian mixed in there somewhere from her mother's side. That just makes her a fiery hot-head as well. Her personality made it really difficult for Abygail to gain an unbiased view of society and life in general.

Special Item: An Irish fife, given to her by her grandmother when she was three. It was the very first instrument she's ever played, and it holds a bit of power of its own – placed there by her grandmother who is the holder of her special abilities. (The fife can call forth light and shadow sprites that help her conceal large groups of people; and, if needed, or helps her hide truth, or reveal lies. They're like her little spies, one could say.)

Castor Magnuson
Gender: M
Age: 22
Powers: Metal / Magnetic Manipulation: Own one sets of bracers, and several sets of bracelets for the upper arms, and ankles made out of Iron, Tungston, Nickel, and Carbon Steel; all highly conductive and magnetic. He manipulates them into weapons of choice, or anything else for that matter, and can magnetize or change them with energy or to use against enemies or to make basic machines.

Metallic Healing: Due to his unique connection to blood and other minerals within living things, Castor is able to heal others from the inside out by manipulating the natural metals within the blood to seal wounds. His skills are also wonderful for removing metal objects from the body, or splinting a bone with metal rod without the unnecessary details of surgery.

Personality: Castor is a charmer, but in a respectable way. His compassion and general likeableness with others tend to draw people to him – which scares him a lot. He's not very comfortable about his abilities, and after having one incident occur when he took the life of a friend by accident, he fears repeating history.

He considers life to be precious, but refuses the one he has. In order to keep his spirit's positive, Castor will throw himself into things – going to big parties, social events, and other venues where he's forced to be with people and have a good time. But, in the end, something always happens with his abilities that causes him to leave early before someone get's the hint that he's the cause of it.

Short History: Studied Engineering for years with his father, hoping to follow in his footsteps and work for the family's CAD company. But, when this strange onset of phenomenon began to happen to him – metallic things attaching to him, moving metal objects unknowingly, melting spoons in his hands when he picks them up, and then the death of a close friend…

Castor and his father felt that his dreams should be placed on hold. And then The Cloaked Ones started to visit him, telling him all kinds of things to sway his mind about what/who he was. But, Castor - although desperate to understand what was going on with him, refused – feeling that their ways were not compatible to the future he wanted for himself.

His father sent him to countless doctors and scientist trying to figure out what was wrong with his son, but none could grasp onto the mystery. Soon, Castor's mother paid him a visit to inform him about everything. This power was granted to him through her genes…through her blood. After a much messed up divorce, his father came home to find his worst enemy telling his son things he's tried to ignore for years. That night, they fought, just like old times, and in the end – they died by their son's hands.

Then The Cloaked Ones returned again, offering Castor a way to avoid going through hell – salvation from his own deadly sin. Again, he refused, feeling uncomfortable about the whole ordeal. Castor became what he wanted to be, an Engineer – and has constructed major landmarks, countless world-record making bridges and buildings, and other construction wonders – all the while, trying to hide his secrets…trying to avoid killing someone else by mistake. After so many failed attempts, he'd given up – now trying to find a place to hid himself, to lock himself away for good – not as a murderer, but as a victim.

Special Item: A partially melted and dented locket that was once his mothers. As she attempted to kill his father, he turned against her – using the metal of the chain holding the locket to choke her to death. But, his powers were uncontrolled and his father was caught in the stream. His father died from his mother's locket propelling through the air, hitting him right in the heart.
