Rick moved and thrashed in his sleep. His claws dug into the mattress and the pillows.
He looked around, confused. There was nothing around him. Nothing but black emptiness everywhere. He looked down at his still-sore body and discovered, first, that he was naked, and second, that all the transformations he'd been subjected to were gone. He was back to his normal self. He checked his face and found he even had his glasses back on. He found it odd how disappointing it felt.
He shot his head up when he noticed movement. Someone else was there. He walked over, but discovered it was only a mirror. He looked at it - at him - and sighed. Then he turned his head and jumped. On the other side of him was a leopard! Standing on all fours, looking at him intently. Then he saw the frame. This was...a mirror, too? He felt around the edge of the glass, expecting the leopard to make a swipe at him, but his fingers simply curled around the frame. It was just a piece of glass.
Rick looked back and forth between his reflection and the animal. Or was that his reflection, too? He slowly backed away, then something happened. The leopard jumped out of its pane and attacked his reflection. Nothing was happening to him, but the two images were now fighting each other. He didn't know what to do, so he turned and ran...
