Alexander laid next to her and he fell asleep too. Tip tap tip... Alexander woke up and kissed Kieara on the cheek, he would have to find a- Alexander froze. The house had been trashed and everything had been taken from the drawers and cabinets. Alexander stood up and went over to the door and found a sign hung with an axe. "A child must be delivered to Dulemar in three weeks time, or else you will be executed." Alexander jogged over to Kieara and began to shake her. "Wake up!"

Kieara jerked awake in fear and her mouth fell open seeing the house. She looked at him fearfully for an explanation. She winced from having moved so fast and held her belly.

"We need to find a child." Alexander put on his regular clothes then sat on the bed and waited for Kieara. "You need to get dressed, our day is going to be longer than I thought."

She nodded solemnly and followed after him sorely. She was so sore that it was difficult to move.

Alexander brought the horses over and sat Kieara in the cart. The sun burned down on them as they rode toward the lower sector of the town. The city was divided into three major parts, four districts, and then the royal areas. Mavaal was one of the biggest centrals of trade and crafting in the western part of the world. It was a melting pot of diversities.

Kieara couldn't handle what they were getting ready to do. She couldn't bring herself to do it. He'd have to. She couldn't bear it.

They slowly came to stop in front of a small shack. People whispered about their arrival, whispers of hate and confusion. Alexander shot a look at a the loitering group and they shut their mouth. The door swung open as Alexander opened the door. He walked in and shut the door behind him. Kieara was left with the cart and slowly the eyes of strangers were attracted to her.

Kieara didn't pay them any mind. She just stared at the floor of the cart. It hardly seemed fair. Her baby had been ripped from her grasp and now...she was responsible for doing that to another. For what? Her own petty life? It hardly seemed worth it to her.

"Shadowmere is taking rather long, maybe he is leaving you." Cobalt's voice sent chills down Kieara's spine as he approached. He was dressed in his normal white robes and a scimitar. With a swift move her jumped onto the cart and sat down. "I'm glad to see that you aren't carrying that hideous thing anymore, it must be easier to walk without all the weight."

Kieara froze hearing his voice. She turned to see him coming into the cart with her. She glared at his words and perhaps it was the anger making her act but before she thought she'd slapped him across the face. "Get the hell away from me! Don't talk about my child that way!"

Cobalt took the slap and then sat down putting his hand next next to her. "You are so naive child, it's no wonder that you have stayed with Shadowmere this long. The last one he had was almost as pretty as you, hopefully you won't end up like her." Cobalt let out a laugh that bellowed in his chest. He enjoyed her pain, he enjoyed Alexander's pain..

The last one...what did he mean? "What are you talking about?..." She spoke with venom. She was in pain and in no mood for games. "Leave! Leave me alone!"

Cobalt laughed once again and got off the cart. "There is so much you are putting into this man, trust that could save you." Cobalt walked into a group of people and left with them, it seemed like he disappeared. Alexander walked out of the shack with keys in his right hand and a parchment in the other. "The only way we are going to appease the order is by giving them something they want, and they want a very important child."

She stared down at the floor of the cart. It was obvious something had happened. She was upset and it showed. She looked at him with a questioning gaze as if it was filled with mistrust. After all the lies he'd told her and all he'd his she couldn't shake colbalts words.

Alexander sat down next to her and began to speak. "If you want to back out now I understand, but you won't get far." He grasped the reins then whipped the horses. "Our mission is not an easy one, we have to take a particular child that will put us in an extensive amount of danger."

Kieara looked back down at the cart floor in silence. Of she did ask who's to say what he would be saying would be truth? He'd lied to her before how easy would it be to do again.

Alexander paused for a moment then began to speak. "We have to take the king's daughter, it's the only way they will set us free." Alexander didn't speak a word after, he just let what pain there was, settle in.

Kieara didn't want to hear more about it. She had to take someone's child and that was more than enough. "Cobalt was here...." She said quietly staring still at the floor of the cart.

Alexander sighed and then looked at her. "What did he say." He had many secrets that Kieara didn't know about, so any one of them could be used against him.

"Who was the other one Alexander?" She spoke unable to look him in the eye
