"Is that right-" Cesar raised a brow looking over the shifter that had been sent to him via by the king.
"Aye milord. The king's request nothing less."
Lavender eyes drew up as the room was cooling down after a hellish heat had been unleashed on the harpy but she made very little qualms about it. It warmed her which was fine but it made the cold all that much more unbearable when the heat vanished and the chill sought her frozen flesh. "Bound and gagged. Our king does enjoy his torment. Probably why he is revered so heavily."
The soldier merely blinked but nodded nonetheless. The butt of the smoke flew off into the distance. "Bring her down and do as the king asks. We want to be ready for his summon."
"But if we open the cage-"
Cesar stabbed a finger into the man's chest, "She is wounded, weak and scared. She lunges at you, and she'll be caught by the barbs. The harpy is nothing to fear, especially-" he cocked his head slowly, "If you want to displease our Lord. Now which is worse? Death by a weak harpy or death by a murderous king? Your choice?"
Hearing the man swallow, a bellow went out to drop the harpy. "That's what I thought."
