Alias: Rumpel, but never just "Rump." He'll get you for that. He usually goes by a borrowed name, which he never bothers to keep.

Species/Race: Faerie, major Fae (more powerful than a Nisse, less powerful than most Aes Sidhe)
Age: ???
Occupation: Provides magical favors for a price, plays tricks on humans whenever possible.
More: While not evil, Rumpel comes from a background which encouraged him to wreak havoc on humans for the fun of it. As of the last 60 or 70 years, he has had some encounters with humans whom he has tricked "just because" that gave him pause. He still offers magical deals to the unfortunate, usually with a very steep price, and plays with travelers through his part of the woods, but he's cut back on maliciousness.
PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Height: Usually about as tall as a child, Rumpel is not restricted by a particular size. He is a trickster Fae, and can shift his form substantially, changing overall height, limb length, head size... Using a glamour he can also mimic the appearance of a human.
Hair: Silvery and wispy, it stays quite short and is eternally windblown in appearance.
Eyes: An eerie pale green
Distinguishing Marks: Unnaturally smooth skin, and a distinct paucity of facial and body hair.
General Appearance: Usually impish or pixie-like, a small wingless humanoid. Rumpel prefers to be slender, almost waiflike, with long hands and feet. His face is thin, yet masculine.
Strengths: Not much. Mostly trickery and magic. He is very capable of fine coordination and very tactilely sensitive.
Weaknesses: Rumpel is physically frail and not terribly strong at all. He also has a low pain threshold.
MENTAL CHARACTERISTICS
Allies: They're not exactly loyal, but given enough profit, other Seelie creatures will help him meet his goals.
Enemies: Only petty little grudges between himself and other Fae. Other enemies have, at this point, been left behind.
Current Goal/Purpose: Finding a mortal interesting enough to play with.
Aspirations: Nothing long term. Just to have fun.
Likes: Watching hubris catch up with people, practical jokes, sweets, fine pastries, ruining parties, jokes, riddles, beautiful women, people-watching, racing through forests
Dislikes: Getting caught, making a fair deal, having to perform favors without any profit, being forced to give freely...
Talents: Tying knots, setting up light traps and practical jokes, and, obscurely, weaving. He has a great sense of balance and is very graceful, as becoming of his people.
Inabilities: Rumpel has no combat training nor experience, and is hardly ever any help with anything. He may be graceful, but he is not hardworking.
Fears: Permanent capture and imprisonment.
General Personality: Almost never serious, but never tells a lie - only misleads. Selfish, inquisitive, changeable, and brilliant, he doesn't always think too far ahead.
Inner Personality: Although he feels like he belongs, doing what he does, what he really wants is a reason to keep going.
Fondest Memory: He doesn't have this sort of luggage.
Biggest Regret: Ditto.
Secret: His name. He never tells it to anyone without being coerced into it.

Special Items: He usually has a bauble or two on hand, to bargain with, help with his illusions, and because he likes shiny things.
Magics: As per his nature, he can manipulate how things seem and how they are seen, and can change his shape and size (to an extent). He also has a touch of reality-changing abilities, which he can only really use when making bargains with mortals. He can cause permanent illusions, coax plants to grow a certain way, and, for the right price, transmute objects.
