What is YOUR vision statement for your life?
How do I develop a vision statement?
You can develop your own vision statement in just a few easy steps:
1. What you need: Paper, pen, and about 30 minutes
2. Be as open and honest with yourself as possible. Only write the things that you really want for your life, not what society defines as "success".
3. Don't limit yourself. Ignore the inner voice that says "that's too much.", "I don't deserve that", or "I could never accomplish that."
4. Write in as much detail as possible. Avoid generalities like "I am healthy" or "I am rich". Write about your profession, hobbies, where you live, where you vacation, etc.
5. Include at least 5 areas of your life: health, income, relationships, family, spirituality, career, personal growth, education, travel, charity, lifestyle, etc.
6. Write it in the present tense: "I make $_____________ per year." "I travel to a new country every year." "I weigh _______lbs." "I spend 4 hours a week working with a charity."
