It was a New Year's tradition, that I'd go to the house in the prairies and party with family friends. There was this guy. He was the coolest, much older than I was. He'd let me watch him play this game. He even named a bot after me. It's hard to explain the nostalgic feeling, other than I knew how my eyes watered staying up all night, in a world that actually turned pitched black outside at night.
