Eh, depends on how people role-play/prefer their partner to roleplay.
We're all going to interact with each other at some point. Fights involving fists or weapons, etc. and it means an argument of fairness.
Deadpool is pretty cool, i would love the occasional chuckles.
and I don't mind him/her in the role-play.

However there may be others who take roleplaying to seriously and wanna be fair in fights.
maybe depending on the wound theres a certain time for the wound to completely heal? and if they really focus on it it takes more energy but heals asap. example a petty bullet wound?
o-o
This is only a suggestion if theres people who takes fights seriously.

I don't intend to godmod at all, no worries. XD If I use her, her healing factor won't be anywhere near as strong as Wade's. It'll be more like.. Less severe wounds will heal up alright over a period, but, severe ones will definitely get her down and take a much longer time to heal.

And, obviously, she'll be able to die.

Also; hullo again. :3

Yeah thats true but it is easy to dumb down the healing factor since I was planning on doing it for Deathstroke as well since fighting him wouldn't really be fair if he healed like normal.

Exactly.

'Cause let's be honest; healing factor is freaking OP as heck with some characters. XD

O w O
im ok with what ever since i have a character who also has a healing factor but of course I wont god mod with it. I even mentioned how using her powers drains alot out of her so something like healing a mortal wound would take days or weeks to heal completely.

@BarrenThin, @N/A, sorry guys! Like I said, my mind is absolutely screwed up right now.

That's what happens when you have a bunch of posts to work on and multiple threads running at the same time ><

Name: Weslyn Tyra Wilson

Hero, Walking-the-line, or Villain: Walking-The-Line

Age: 18

Background and Hero/Villain Origins:

Weslyn's story is a very.. Complex, one. She lived what couldn't really be described as a good life in a small house in the country with her mother, father, and little brother, Wesley. To say the family got along well would be.. Well, a massive lie. Weslyn's mother was extremely kind, softspoken, and tender, while her father was just the opposite. He was strict, always yelling about something, an alcoholic, and extremely abusive.

Weslyn, while bright and intelligent even at a young age, was kept well away from public school by her father's demand. He insisted it'd just be a waste of time and money; that his only daughter would never amount to anything. Despite, her mother taught her in private, behind her father's back. But, basic education wasn't the only thing that her mother taught Weslyn in private... She was also taught to wield a variety of knives and shorter blades... Though the young girl never understood why. All her mother would tell her when she asked was that 'you may need it, one day'.

When she wasn't learning, Weslyn was always either cleaning, being locked away in her room, or being tortured by her father. His attacks on her consisted of throwing beer bottles, slaps across the face or being belted, and the thing that the young girl dreaded the most... The touching. When drunk, it happened often; he'd make her take off her clothes and let him touch her.. It brought humiliation on top of pain.

Another thing that the female hated was when she was taken to the bathroom, where her father would shove her head into the bathtub while it was full of water, holding her under for minutes at a time, pulling her out, and shoving her back under til she blacked out. And the worst part of it was that she had to let him do it without fighting; or else the punishment would just be worse.

This went on for almost nine years, with the abuse gradually getting worse. But, this wasn't a random event; unlike how quiet and obedient she had been as a younger child, Weslyn had started fighting the torture; struggling when her father tried to take her to do it, and even going as far as to use her mother's teachings to lash out at him a few times. But at this point, knives weren't all she knew how to use; she'd learned a good deal about firearms now, and could use simple ones like pistols with ease.. And more complex types with a bit of a struggle, but not terribly much. Of course, those, she didn't have around the house.

A little before her twelfth birthday, though, Weslyn's suffering finally came to an end; her father had died. Murdered, the police had said.. But they couldn't figure out the killer. This experience would've been much happier, if Weslyn's mother hadn't been killed that same day. Lyn and her brother were picked up by the police, and when they spotted both children's clear injuries, were taken to the hospital.

By this point, the damage was done, though; Lyn had already developed severe Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and had started showing signs of DID years before.. This was too late to fix. The doctors knew that as soon as Weslyn had explained what all had happened and answered all of their questions. She was immediately diagnosed for these two disorders, and after her physical wounds were treated, she was sent to an orphanage with her younger brother who was the mere age of five. She never mentioned the voices in her head, always telling her to do things.

For a year or so, the girl stayed there; the odd one out in the orphanage, considering her countless scars, attention-needing attitude, and newly-developed cocky and witty attitude. She was a smart-alec who went from needing nobody's attention at all to everyone's, that couldn't seem to keep her mouth shut.

Eventually realizing her massive changes in personality occurring that she couldn't even remember without others telling her about them, and her blacking out and coming to with everyone staring at her like she'd become a monster while unconscious, Weslyn felt completely broken... And couldn't stand staying there like this. She didn't belong.

So, when everyone had gone to sleep for the night, Weslyn snuck out of her room, peering into the room her brother had been assigned to briefly. There, she gently kissed his forehead and whispered a goodbye, breaking her self-absorbed mask for a few fleeting moments, before leaving the orphanage forever.. And never looking back.

It hurt, leaving her brother like that.. But she knew it was better this way; if only just for her. It was a selfish move to pull, something she didn't realize til much later, but she couldn't care at the time. Because the second she left, she knew that she needed to focus on herself if she wanted to make it.

Living on the streets was extremely difficult to pull off.. There was the fact that, with her need for attention, it was hard to keep from attracting cops or authorities that would try to take her back to an orphanage. There was the fact she needed to beg to survive; something she was too proud to do. And, then, there was the fact that she had no shelter or place to sleep that she saw fit to use.

Okay, looked like the kid had developed a bit of pride.

She managed to pull it off for a while, though; the voices always gave her advice on what to do... Were there for her when no one else was. Told her what was okay to take, what wasn't. Who to avoid, and who would possibly help her. They weren't always right, but she trusted them like they were.

Soon enough, though, the problem was solved: she was asleep one night, and woke up on a comfy bed the next morning. The second she awoke, she shot up to a sitting position, immediately realizing she wasn't where she had been asleep at. The first sight she was met with was a man sitting in a chair across from the bed, staring straight at her.

The man gave her an offer she couldn't resist: a place to stay, food to eat, and a bed to sleep in... Even access to learning materials, video games, and to Weslyn's sheer excitement and joy; weapons of all kinds. What she had to do in return? Let a few men observe her and run a few tests. At the time, the catch hadn't seemed like a big deal; and it didn't for quite some time.

She was allowed to do basically whatever she pleased. She practiced with every weapon she could get her hands on; quickly determining that firearms, blades, and her fists were her favorite weapons.. Aside from nun-chucks. Little did she know that practice using weapons was exactly what these men who'd taken her in wanted; to make her a fighting machine.

When she wasn't wielding guns or having personal training to stay fit, the now fifteen-year-old was often playing video games or doing schoolwork. That, or doing odd little tasks for the men that she didn't understand the point of.. When she wasn't blacking out and doing things she couldn't remember.

Something bad had started happening, though.. The voices had started telling her to do darker things. To hurt people.. Shoot things. Blow stuff up. Let all hell loose. She ignored them, out of better judgement.. But began pondering listening to them. She was tempted to, at times; other times, she was completely disgusted by even the thought. But, she was forced to oblige when killing someone was one of the tasks the men told her to do. She knew they'd kick her out if she didn't do it.. So, reluctantly, she did.

And after that, they made her do it more. Gave her special rewards if she did it, and even started giving her more freedom for it. She was being shaped into a fighting and killing machine; a mercenary.

This went on for another two years, before Weslyn suddenly found herself in some sort of strange facility when she awoke from one of the blackouts. She started panicking and struggling, blacking right back out after this started.

For a period of time Weslyn couldn't even determine, she faded in and out of consciousness, always spotting similar surroundings whenever she was awake. An odd, dreary and dark facility with people that looked to be scientists all around; speaking to each other while doing things to her. She could never tell what was being said.. Their voices sounded distant and blurred to her, and she never really had time to think hard enough to determine what was said before falling unconscious again.

Eventually, though, when she awoke.. She realized she wasn't in the place anymore. In fact, her new surroundings were completely different, and.. She was, too. There were scars all over her face, and more on her body... And she was older than she had been when she last saw herself.. And some looks around the town she'd awoken in showed that it'd been three years since the last time she remembered checking a clock. And, the cocky and witty girl felt... Oddly conflicted. The voices still told her to do bad things, but also told her to do other things that were more for entertainment than a lust for violence.. Which was nice. Weslyn didn't feel quite as bad about killing people.. Yet felt more conflicted over it; she almost wanted to, for the hell of it, but she told herself off if she could; she wanted to stop being a bad guy.

Since then, Weslyn realized that she healed at an incredible pace. Not only that, but she had higher stamina, faster reflexes, and more strength than she had remembered to her. She strained her mind to recall what had happened, back in that facility.. But it only ever gave her a headache.

She's currently trying desperately to get back into school, but is terrified she won't make it, and will have to get by solely on the mercenary work that she secretly wishes she didn't have to do.

Powers/Abilities:
-Regenerative Healing Factor(Passive): Weslyn has a fairly strong healing factor. Minor wounds such as cuts, punctures, bruises and low-degree burns heal fairly quickly. Bullet wounds and larger slashes heal fairly quickly, as in a good few hours minimum, but they do take time. However, mortal/severe wounds take days to heal, and she is not immortal.
-Foreign Chemical Resistance: Lady Deadpool's body is highly resistant to most drugs and toxins. For example, it is extremely difficult(though not impossible) for her to become intoxicated. She can, however, be affected by certain drugs(such as tranquilizers) if she is exposed to a large enough dosage.
-Fourth Wall Awareness: Just as the name implies, this is awareness of the fourth wall. There's no real explanation as to why Weslyn has this.. But the most likely answer is her unstable mental state and what others assume to be 'hallucinations'.
-Jumbled Mind: Due to her mental instability, Weslyn's mind is a bit difficult to navigate for telepaths. However, it isn't impossible.
-Weapons Training: Even growing up, Weslyn had been expected to train all different sorts of weapons.. Most commonly, firearms and blades.
-High Pain Tolerance: Due to having faced a high amount of exposure to pain and injury growing up, Weslyn has a fairly high pain tolerance.. Though this only goes so far.
-Heightened Stamina: Lady Deadpool's musculature generates considerably less fatigue toxins than the muscles of an ordinary human being, granting her heightened levels of stamina in all physical activities. She can physically exert herself at peak capacity for several hours before fatigue begins to impair her.
-Heightened Agility: Lady Deadpool's agility, balance, and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels that are beyond the natural physical limits of even the finest human athlete.
-Heightened Reflexes: Her reflexes are similarly enhanced, superior to those of even the finest human athlete.

Weaknesses/Tragic Flaw:
-Bad at being good: While Weslyn tries her best to be a good guy, she's clueless on how to do it.. And is thus freakin' terrible at it, often doing the wrong thing with good intentions. I.E, while a normal person would try to apprehend a kidnapper with a hostage over having to hurt them, Weslyn would likely just shoot them without thinking about it twice.
-Desperate for attention & affection: Lady Deadpool can be very.. needy, in this field.
-Annoying: This comes from both her mental state and her aforementioned need for attention. She can go a bit far in her need for people to notice her, and will go as far as demonstrating dangerous tricks to make it happen.
-PTSD: Due to facing many traumatic experiences growing up, Weslyn has PTSD.. Which later lead to the development of DID. So, mention of her past is extremely painful for her, and can even cause her to break down if it's brought up too far or thrown in her face.
-Lonely: Weslyn has very few friends, due to the fact she has a tendency to get on others' nerves. Because of this, she's extremely lonely.. Which is another piece of why she strives for the attention and affection of others so often.
-Head Voices/DID: Weslyn suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder; also known as Multiple Personality Disorder. Because of this, she can be fairly unpredictable. She also has voices in her head, and frequently talks to herself.
-Personality Shifts/Unpredictable: Because of the DID, Weslyn is extremely unpredictable. She could be trying to help someone one moment, and turning around and trying to kill them the next if the wrong personality comes in at the wrong time.
-Easily Distracted: This isn't always the case, but Lyn can be fairly easy to distract, at times. If you could pull it off and be convincing enough, you could probably get her to look away to escape.
-Loose Knees: What's likely to be one of LD's biggest physical weaknesses is that her knees are a bit loose; making them a vulnerable area to aim for to impair her or get her downed.

Background and Hero/Villain Origins:

Jessabelle's life started out quite normally. She was born to a scientist and an aspiring author, both of whom were extremely loving of their only child. She was well taken care of and always kept in good care, had a roof over her head, and had just about everything she needed. That alone gave her plenty to be happy about.

The young girl started going to school early, already showing determination in getting a good education. Her life was quiet and mundane for the next few years, consisting of going to school, spending time with her family, and.. Trying to make friends. It was a futile attempt, but the little social butterfly didn't seem to notice.. Or was just too determined to care.

But, she quickly found these attempts weren't getting her anywhere.. And that she was nothing more than that nerd that nobody talked to unless it was to mock them. While she tried to pretend she didn't care, she did, and this fact deeply hurt her. She was excessively sensitive, so with each time this occurred, she withdrew a little more.

Eventually, the name-calling got worse, and she was teased about just about everything about her. Luckily, she was saved from this when her parents decided to move at age six; where she was switched to homeschooling due to the remote location taken up. She faced no struggles from there on out, though she had already grown shy from the prior bullying.

She excelled fairly quickly, demonstrating academic potential that made up for the fact she was lacking physically. Despite being fairly scrawny and weak, her mind proved to be stronger than any of her muscles, and her strongest weapon as well.

The next few years went by fast.. But soon enough, something went wrong; Jess fell incredibly sick.. Her mother did, too. Soon enough, it was discovered this sickness came from excessive exposure to radiation. Her mother died quickly, but Jess oddly lasted days later; just enough time for her frantic father to dig up what he hoped would work as an antidote; an untested spider-serum he and his colleagues had worked on quite a while ago, but had been set aside when the team had given up.

At first, after she'd been injected, nothing happened.. The girl seemed as lifeless and ill as before. But, slowly, color crept back to her skin. The comatose-like state she'd been in was abruptly broken, and she sprung up, gasping for air. But, she seemed to be in severe pain from the merge between hers DNA and the spider's with which she'd been injected with.

This pain lasted a little while.. Jess didn't know how long. But next thing she knew, she was blacking out, losing control.. She couldn't remember what happened after that.

A few years went by, memories of them just out of Jessabelle's reach. She hadn't seen her father or his team since she was injected.. Had somehow wound up off of the remote island and on the main land, now. How? She didn't quite know. All she knew was that she was, well.. There.

She was taken into an orphanage, lived there for about a year.. But odd things kept happening. Her hands would glow when she got mad or upset, she'd accidentally lift or move heavy things like furniture without meaning to, she felt this odd tingling just before things came her way or bad things happened.. And then there was the fact that she could climb like nobody would believe.

She was re-enrolled in public school, where she leapt at the chance to learn more. Now, bullying wasn't a problem.. Not after a while, at least. People tried to hit her, push her down.. But she saw it coming and got them right back. Immediately, she grew terrified; what had happened to her? When had she acquired these reflexes?

The rest of school was no problem. She had skipped numerous grades, already well on her way through the final years of high school. That was when the struggling, shy and awkward teenager was adopted; taken into a new family. They treated her kindly, but it held nothing on how well her real family had treated her.. From what she could remember of them, anyways. Which, oddly, wasn't much. It seemed she'd somehow developed some sort of amnesia.. Or her mind had locked away memories it didn't want to recall.

The odd happenings seemed to have no end. She graduated with flying colors, and started college.. But the superhuman feats didn't cease. If anything, they grew worse; she was walking to her dorm one day, when a mugger jumped her.. Before she could even realize what was happening, she'd instinctively raised her hand and.. He went flying back? She'd called the cops and he was arrested, but she was left in shambles. What was she?

These occurrences seemed to have no end. Before long, she'd made a costume and started trying to take on crime as Arachne; named after her odd seemingly-spider-like powers. This didn't work out the best, and she completely fucked up, but she kept on trying.. But gave up the 'hero' life temporarily to finish school.

After doing so, the now-young woman gave the crime-fighting life another go, now under the guise of Spider-Woman. She's still learning her way around, but hey; she's getting better.

Powers/Abilities:
-Superhuman Strength:
Spider-Woman's muscular density and strength have been extraordinarily enhanced and enable her to lift about 7 tons.
-Superhuman Stamina: Spider-Woman's musculature generates less fatigue toxins during physical activity than the musculature of an ordinary human. She can exert herself at peak capacity for several hours before fatigue begins to impair her.
-Superhuman Durability: Spider-Woman's body is somewhat tougher and more resistant to injury than an ordinary human's, although she is far from invulnerable. She is capable of withstanding impact forces that would severely injure or kill an ordinary human with only mild to moderate discomfort.
-Danger Intuition: As the name implies, this is a danger sense.. Meaning Jess can sense danger.
-Superhuman Agility: Spider-Woman's agility, balance, and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels beyond the human body's natural limits.
-Superhuman Reflexes: Spider-Woman's natural reaction time and reflexes are enhanced to levels beyond the human body's natural limits.
-Superhuman Flexibility: Spider-Woman's body is extraordinarily limber and her tendons and connective tissues are twice as flexible as the average human being's, despite the augmented musculature and its enhanced strength.
-Superhuman Hearing: Spider-Woman's hearing is superhumanly acute and enables her to detect sound at virtually any frequency, and she's been known to detect, sort out, and correctly identify sounds through thick steel doors, and across considerable distances.
-Wall-Crawling: Spider-Woman's limbs can adhere to surfaces via electrostatic attraction. Spider-Woman can hold and carry a considerable amount of extra weight while sticking to walls without falling off; it's safe to assume that the weight she can carry is dozens of times her own, and the limits of how long she can do this before fatigue sets in are still unknown.
-Venom Blasts: Her body possesses an inordinate amount of bio-electricity that she has learned to channel and discharge through her hands, in controlled bursts of what she calls "Venom Blasts". These energy projections vary in power; they mostly affect the nervous system in humans. Spider-Woman can regulate them from simply a stun to potent enough to kill an average-sized man in the same way that a lightning bolt could kill him.
-Pheromone Secretion: Her metabolism generates certain types of pheromones that can create fear, elicit attraction and/or repulsion on others, depending on unknown factors which might include gender and mood.
-Web Generation: Jess has nearly no control over this power, but can occasionally manage to generate, or sling, a web-like substance.
-Strong-Willed: Even through difficult times, Jess stays strong and won't give up.
-Martial Artist: Jess is trained and skilled in numerous forms of martial arts

Weaknesses/Tragic Flaw:
-Unused to powers: Despite having had her abilities for a while, Jess is still getting used to them, and isn't fully accustomed to them quite yet.
-Awkward: This isn't a problem with her vigilante acts, but in social surroundings, Jess is extremely socially awkward.
-Super Hearing: While this is somewhat a positive thing, this feat makes Jess incredulously sensitive to sound. As such, loud noises can incapacitate her for a period and slow her down quite a bit.
-Claustrophobia: Jessabelle gets extremely uncomfortable in crowds, and tries to avoid them unless absolutely necessary.
-Power Toll: Jessabelle's one real power, Venom Blasts, are extremely tolling, and often leave her weakened for a good few hours at least.
-Stubborn: Good luck getting this bitch to give into you.
-Insecure: Jess is extremely insecure, which often leads to her denying compliments and/or self-depreciating

Occupation: Vigilante, part-time librarian, and therapist

Other: EXCELSIOR!

Sample Post: Millennium City.. A beautiful place, if you looked past the constant acts of violence, the villains running rampant, and the fact that the city was generally running amok. Regardless, a certain counselor somehow managed to enjoy the view from her apartment building. Maybe it was just because she'd been here a while.. Or maybe it was just because this was home, to her. Hell, it could've just been that she tried her best to see past the bad and admire the good.

Regardless, she'd learned to love it here; and that was that.

She hadn't slept, as per usual.. And sighed heavily when her alarm went off at approximately 6:42 AM, making her roll over and pull her pillow down around her head. She didn't want to get up that morning, after fighting off yet another threat last night. She was exhausted, and didn't want to move a muscle. But, slowly, she relented, releasing her hold on the pillow and sitting up to stretch out. Her hair was disheveled, and her green eyes were hazed with sleepiness.

Soon enough, the young woman was on her feet, stripping off her dirty clothes and putting on fresh ones(after a quick, cold shower), brushing her dark hair til it tumbled neatly to her shoulders. The water had a tendency to make her hair curl more than normal.. not that that really bothered her. It didn't take long for her to put on neat dress clothes, throw together some things she'd need, at which point she promptly hurried out the door. There was no set time that she needed to get to work by.. But she had an appointment to be at by 7:25. And she hated being late. So, hopefully the cab she had hailed wouldn't let her down.

Getting to work was.. A little more difficult than Jessabelle Cynthia Drew had anticipated. You see, the vigilante hadn't exactly been expecting a giant tin man to be rampaging through the town... But there was only so much she could do; she only arrived for the aftermath, so the female wasn't really of much help; something that made a deep frown form on her features. Always miss the fun, so it seems.. she thought to herself, rubbing her temples with a sigh.

"You alright, ma'am?" the cabbie asked, catching Jess's gaze in the rearview mirror for a brief moment. But, Jess quickly averted her gaze, looking out the window at the rubble being cleared. "..I'm fine," she finally replied, voice soft; as usual. The man nodded slightly, but the vehicle halted; there was no getting past the rubble.. So the man turned around, backtracked 'til he found a backroad leading to Jessabelle's office.

It wasn't anything special, really.. Just a cozy, small building that actually had something of a homey aura to it. It was a nice place, in Jess's mind.. And seemingly, in the minds of her clients, too; considering how relaxed they all seemed to be when they came here. Or maybe Jess just had some soothing affect on them.. Wouldn't surprise her, at this point; not after all the weird shit that she could do. Whatever it was, it didn't matter; what did matter was the fact that Jessabelle Drew helped people... In and out of the office.

Now that was what mattered.

jess.jpg

So, when her first client showed up for their therapy session, Jessabelle could only smile at the older woman, patiently gesturing her to take a seat. "Top of the morning to you, Miss Paxton.. Care to take a seat, so we may begin?" Jess offered, features warm and gentle. The redhead in front of her clearly couldn't help but to smile back, nodding and taking a seat across from Jess.

Humming softly, Jess picked up her glasses, putting them on neatly before her emerald eyes turned back to the other woman. "So.. Where did we leave off, again?"

~~~Timeskip~~~
Five appointments had gone by, and a certain Drew girl was already ready to go home. She was about ready to outright pass out on her desk from exhaustion, but managed to stay awake and responsive.. If only barely. She'd had to excuse herself to the restrooms almost six times to splash water on her face to wake herself up. Luckily, it'd worked, and she'd managed to make it through the day without falling asleep during any appointments.. 'Til a police radio she always listened to when she wasn't with a client gave a report of some sort of robot wreaking havoc on the city.
Shaking her head with frustration, Jess climbed quickly to her feet, running into the bathroom and changing into her suit. It took only a minute, and then, she clambered to use her phone, making a quick call. "Uhh, hey, Mr. Lewis.. I've gotta cancel our one o'clock. No time to explain. Call me back later to reschedule!" With that, she stuffed her phone somewhere in her suit and dashed out the door as quickly as possible.
If this doesn't wake me up... Nothing will.
Luckily for the woman who had yet to have figured out any means of controlling or utilizing the power of web-generation, the attack wasn't too far from Jess's workplace, so it took her little time to arrive on the scene.. Where she promptly shouted out at the robot
rs_634x679-140319140013-634-spider-woman-jessica-drew-jl-031914.jpg
"Hey, tin-head! Listen, I think you dropped a screw or two..." she called, crouched absently nearby. Though, she quickly stood up, placing a hand on her hip and tilting her head to the side. "Need help finding them? Or, hey.. Maybe I can charge ya up, instead." Not wasting a split second, Jessabelle rolled forward, hands extended towards the robot; starting to emit a faint glow.. Before one of her venom blasts shot at the thing. Jess looked at her hands, brows furrowed behind her mask. "..Huh. Meant to charge that up a little more, but.. That'll do," she muttered under her breath, before her focus trained back on the armor.
"I know it's rude to hit a lady.. So I'll go ahead and apologize for blasting ya like that, robo-head." Her body tensed a little, and she braced herself; as ready as she could get, at this point. "Care to hit me back in exchange?"
Kay, so I know LD's bio started off kinda not-really-great, but I wanted her to have something other than Cancer explaining the mental instability. Also; I've got some twists I left out of the bio that'll be revealed IC(if I can use her).
Finally done!
omg i played LD with the exact same FC too one time XD
Her name is shivee, she is so adorable.
No worries, seems like both are pretty good!
Background and Hero/Villain Origins:
Weslyn's story is a very.. Complex, one. She lived what couldn't really be described as a good life in a small house in the country with her mother, father, and little brother, Wesley. To say the family got along well would be.. Well, a massive lie. Weslyn's mother was extremely kind, softspoken, and tender, while her father was just the opposite. He was strict, always yelling about something, an alcoholic, and extremely abusive.
Weslyn, while bright and intelligent even at a young age, was kept well away from public school by her father's demand. He insisted it'd just be a waste of time and money; that his only daughter would never amount to anything. Despite, her mother taught her in private, behind her father's back. But, basic education wasn't the only thing that her mother taught Weslyn in private... She was also taught to wield a variety of knives and shorter blades... Though the young girl never understood why. All her mother would tell her when she asked was that 'you may need it, one day'.
When she wasn't learning, Weslyn was always either cleaning, being locked away in her room, or being tortured by her father. His attacks on her consisted of throwing beer bottles, slaps across the face or being belted, and the thing that the young girl dreaded the most... The touching. When drunk, it happened often; he'd make her take off her clothes and let him touch her.. It brought humiliation on top of pain.
Another thing that the female hated was when she was taken to the bathroom, where her father would shove her head into the bathtub while it was full of water, holding her under for minutes at a time, pulling her out, and shoving her back under til she blacked out. And the worst part of it was that she had to let him do it without fighting; or else the punishment would just be worse.
This went on for almost nine years, with the abuse gradually getting worse. But, this wasn't a random event; unlike how quiet and obedient she had been as a younger child, Weslyn had started fighting the torture; struggling when her father tried to take her to do it, and even going as far as to use her mother's teachings to lash out at him a few times. But at this point, knives weren't all she knew how to use; she'd learned a good deal about firearms now, and could use simple ones like pistols with ease.. And more complex types with a bit of a struggle, but not terribly much. Of course, those, she didn't have around the house.
A little before her twelfth birthday, though, Weslyn's suffering finally came to an end; her father had died. Murdered, the police had said.. But they couldn't figure out the killer. This experience would've been much happier, if Weslyn's mother hadn't been killed that same day. Lyn and her brother were picked up by the police, and when they spotted both children's clear injuries, were taken to the hospital.
By this point, the damage was done, though; Lyn had already developed severe Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and had started showing signs of DID years before.. This was too late to fix. The doctors knew that as soon as Weslyn had explained what all had happened and answered all of their questions. She was immediately diagnosed for these two disorders, and after her physical wounds were treated, she was sent to an orphanage with her younger brother who was the mere age of five. She never mentioned the voices in her head, always telling her to do things.
For a year or so, the girl stayed there; the odd one out in the orphanage, considering her countless scars, attention-needing attitude, and newly-developed cocky and witty attitude. She was a smart-alec who went from needing nobody's attention at all to everyone's, that couldn't seem to keep her mouth shut.
Eventually realizing her massive changes in personality occurring that she couldn't even remember without others telling her about them, and her blacking out and coming to with everyone staring at her like she'd become a monster while unconscious, Weslyn felt completely broken... And couldn't stand staying there like this. She didn't belong.
So, when everyone had gone to sleep for the night, Weslyn snuck out of her room, peering into the room her brother had been assigned to briefly. There, she gently kissed his forehead and whispered a goodbye, breaking her self-absorbed mask for a few fleeting moments, before leaving the orphanage forever.. And never looking back.
It hurt, leaving her brother like that.. But she knew it was better this way; if only just for her. It was a selfish move to pull, something she didn't realize til much later, but she couldn't care at the time. Because the second she left, she knew that she needed to focus on herself if she wanted to make it.
Living on the streets was extremely difficult to pull off.. There was the fact that, with her need for attention, it was hard to keep from attracting cops or authorities that would try to take her back to an orphanage. There was the fact she needed to beg to survive; something she was too proud to do. And, then, there was the fact that she had no shelter or place to sleep that she saw fit to use.
Okay, looked like the kid had developed a bit of pride.
She managed to pull it off for a while, though; the voices always gave her advice on what to do... Were there for her when no one else was. Told her what was okay to take, what wasn't. Who to avoid, and who would possibly help her. They weren't always right, but she trusted them like they were.
Soon enough, though, the problem was solved: she was asleep one night, and woke up on a comfy bed the next morning. The second she awoke, she shot up to a sitting position, immediately realizing she wasn't where she had been asleep at. The first sight she was met with was a man sitting in a chair across from the bed, staring straight at her.
The man gave her an offer she couldn't resist: a place to stay, food to eat, and a bed to sleep in... Even access to learning materials, video games, and to Weslyn's sheer excitement and joy; weapons of all kinds. What she had to do in return? Let a few men observe her and run a few tests. At the time, the catch hadn't seemed like a big deal; and it didn't for quite some time.
She was allowed to do basically whatever she pleased. She practiced with every weapon she could get her hands on; quickly determining that firearms, blades, and her fists were her favorite weapons.. Aside from nun-chucks. Little did she know that practice using weapons was exactly what these men who'd taken her in wanted; to make her a fighting machine.
When she wasn't wielding guns or having personal training to stay fit, the now fifteen-year-old was often playing video games or doing schoolwork. That, or doing odd little tasks for the men that she didn't understand the point of.. When she wasn't blacking out and doing things she couldn't remember.
Something bad had started happening, though.. The voices had started telling her to do darker things. To hurt people.. Shoot things. Blow stuff up. Let all hell loose. She ignored them, out of better judgement.. But began pondering listening to them. She was tempted to, at times; other times, she was completely disgusted by even the thought. But, she was forced to oblige when killing someone was one of the tasks the men told her to do. She knew they'd kick her out if she didn't do it.. So, reluctantly, she did.
And after that, they made her do it more. Gave her special rewards if she did it, and even started giving her more freedom for it. She was being shaped into a fighting and killing machine; a mercenary.
This went on for another two years, before Weslyn suddenly found herself in some sort of strange facility when she awoke from one of the blackouts. She started panicking and struggling, blacking right back out after this started.
For a period of time Weslyn couldn't even determine, she faded in and out of consciousness, always spotting similar surroundings whenever she was awake. An odd, dreary and dark facility with people that looked to be scientists all around; speaking to each other while doing things to her. She could never tell what was being said.. Their voices sounded distant and blurred to her, and she never really had time to think hard enough to determine what was said before falling unconscious again.
Eventually, though, when she awoke.. She realized she wasn't in the place anymore. In fact, her new surroundings were completely different, and.. She was, too. There were scars all over her face, and more on her body... And she was older than she had been when she last saw herself.. And some looks around the town she'd awoken in showed that it'd been three years since the last time she remembered checking a clock. And, the cocky and witty girl felt... Oddly conflicted. The voices still told her to do bad things, but also told her to do other things that were more for entertainment than a lust for violence.. Which was nice. Weslyn didn't feel quite as bad about killing people.. Yet felt more conflicted over it; she almost wanted to, for the hell of it, but she told herself off if she could; she wanted to stop being a bad guy.
Since then, Weslyn realized that she healed at an incredible pace. Not only that, but she had higher stamina, faster reflexes, and more strength than she had remembered to her. She strained her mind to recall what had happened, back in that facility.. But it only ever gave her a headache.
Powers/Abilities:
-Regenerative Healing Factor(Passive): Weslyn has a fairly strong healing factor. Minor wounds such as cuts, punctures, bruises and low-degree burns heal fairly quickly. Bullet wounds and larger slashes heal fairly quickly, as in a good few hours minimum, but they do take time. However, mortal/severe wounds take days to heal, and she is not immortal.
-Foreign Chemical Resistance: Lady Deadpool's body is highly resistant to most drugs and toxins. For example, it is extremely difficult(though not impossible) for her to become intoxicated. She can, however, be affected by certain drugs(such as tranquilizers) if she is exposed to a large enough dosage.
-Fourth Wall Awareness: Just as the name implies, this is awareness of the fourth wall. There's no real explanation as to why Weslyn has this.. But the most likely answer is her unstable mental state and what others assume to be 'hallucinations'.
-Jumbled Mind: Due to her mental instability, Weslyn's mind is a bit difficult to navigate for telepaths. However, it isn't impossible.
-Weapons Training: Even growing up, Weslyn had been expected to train all different sorts of weapons.. Most commonly, firearms and blades.
-High Pain Tolerance: Due to having faced a high amount of exposure to pain and injury growing up, Weslyn has a fairly high pain tolerance.. Though this only goes so far.
-Heightened Stamina: Lady Deadpool's musculature generates considerably less fatigue toxins than the muscles of an ordinary human being, granting her heightened levels of stamina in all physical activities. She can physically exert herself at peak capacity for several hours before fatigue begins to impair her.
-Heightened Agility: Lady Deadpool's agility, balance, and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels that are beyond the natural physical limits of even the finest human athlete.
-Heightened Reflexes: Her reflexes are similarly enhanced, superior to those of even the finest human athlete.
Weaknesses/Tragic Flaw:
-Bad at being good: While Weslyn tries her best to be a good guy, she's clueless on how to do it.. And is thus freakin' terrible at it, often doing the wrong thing with good intentions. I.E, while a normal person would try to apprehend a kidnapper with a hostage over having to hurt them, Weslyn would likely just shoot them without thinking about it twice.
-Desperate for attention & affection: Lady Deadpool can be very.. needy, in this field.
-Annoying: This comes from both her mental state and her aforementioned need for attention. She can go a bit far in her need for people to notice her, and will go as far as demonstrating dangerous tricks to make it happen.
-PTSD: Due to facing many traumatic experiences growing up, Weslyn has PTSD.. Which later lead to the development of DID. So, mention of her past is extremely painful for her, and can even cause her to break down if it's brought up too far or thrown in her face.
-Lonely: Weslyn has very few friends, due to the fact she has a tendency to get on others' nerves. Because of this, she's extremely lonely.. Which is another piece of why she strives for the attention and affection of others so often.
-Head Voices/DID: Weslyn suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder; also known as Multiple Personality Disorder. Because of this, she can be fairly unpredictable. She also has voices in her head, and frequently talks to herself.
-Personality Shifts/Unpredictable: Because of the DID, Weslyn is extremely unpredictable. She could be trying to help someone one moment, and turning around and trying to kill them the next if the wrong personality comes in at the wrong time.
-Easily Distracted: This isn't always the case, but Lyn can be fairly easy to distract, at times. If you could pull it off and be convincing enough, you could probably get her to look away to escape.
-Loose Knees: What's likely to be one of LD's biggest physical weaknesses is that her knees are a bit loose; making them a vulnerable area to aim for to impair her or get her downed.
Background and Hero/Villain Origins:
Powers/Abilities:
-Superhuman Strength:
Spider-Woman's muscular density and strength have been extraordinarily enhanced and enable her to lift about 7 tons.
-Superhuman Stamina: Spider-Woman's musculature generates less fatigue toxins during physical activity than the musculature of an ordinary human. She can exert herself at peak capacity for several hours before fatigue begins to impair her.
-Superhuman Durability: Spider-Woman's body is somewhat tougher and more resistant to injury than an ordinary human's, although she is far from invulnerable. She is capable of withstanding impact forces that would severely injure or kill an ordinary human with only mild to moderate discomfort.
-Superhuman Agility: Spider-Woman's agility, balance, and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels beyond the human body's natural limits.
-Superhuman Reflexes: Spider-Woman's natural reaction time and reflexes are enhanced to levels beyond the human body's natural limits.
-Superhuman Flexibility: Spider-Woman's body is extraordinarily limber and her tendons and connective tissues are twice as flexible as the average human being's, despite the augmented musculature and its enhanced strength.
-Superhuman Hearing: Spider-Woman's hearing is superhumanly acute and enables her to detect sound at virtually any frequency, and she's been known to detect, sort out, and correctly identify sounds through thick steel doors, and across considerable distances.
-Wall-Crawling: Spider-Woman's limbs can adhere to surfaces via electrostatic attraction. Spider-Woman can hold and carry a considerable amount of extra weight while sticking to walls without falling off; it's safe to assume that the weight she can carry is dozens of times her own, and the limits of how long she can do this before fatigue sets in are still unknown.
-Venom Blasts: Her body possesses an inordinate amount of bio-electricity that she has learned to channel and discharge through her hands, in controlled bursts of what she calls "Venom Blasts". These energy projections vary in power; they mostly affect the nervous system in humans. Spider-Woman can regulate them from simply a stun to potent enough to kill an average-sized man in the same way that a lightning bolt could kill him.
-Pheromone Secretion: Her metabolism generates certain types of pheromones that can create fear, elicit attraction and/or repulsion on others, depending on unknown factors which might include gender and mood.
Weaknesses/Tragic Flaw:
-Unused to powers: Despite having had her abilities for a while, Jess is still getting used to them, and isn't fully accustomed to them quite yet.
-Awkward: This isn't a problem with her vigilante acts, but in social surroundings, Jess is extremely socially awkward.
-Super Hearing: While this is somewhat a positive thing, this feat makes Jess incredulously sensitive to sound. As such, loud noises can incapacitate her for a period and slow her down quite a bit.
-Claustrophobia: Jessabelle gets extremely uncomfortable in crowds, and tries to avoid them unless absolutely necessary.
-Power Toll: Jessabelle's one real power, Venom Blasts, are extremely tolling, and often leave her weakened for a good few hours at least.
Occupation: Vigilante, Librarian, and part-time detective
Kay, so I know LD's bio started off kinda not-really-great, but I wanted her to have something other than Cancer explaining the mental instability. Also; I've got some twists I left out of the bio that'll be revealed IC(if I can use her).
I'm also gonna write up my sample posts sometime today/tomorrow. I've got a friend coming over right now, so I've gotta go clean before they get here.
I'm also gonna probably edit Spider-Woman's powers a bit, and write up her bio. I already took a couple off, but I still feel like that list is kinda big. XD
Awesome LD! Lol maybe Sophia and her can become ifriends haha
