This is a sci-fi/fantasy RP. The Players are young Mages who have been brought to the Academy in order to develop their magical talent and protect their city. They will fight monsters that roam in the wilderness, investigate nefarious plots against King and Country, and so on. But that is all in their future. For now, after a bit of general plot setup, let us have the characters meet up, get to know one another, etc. We can feed them to monsters later.

The plot so far:
The students meet their teacher, Professor Yuki Okamoto, and have their first few days of instruction.

About a week into their Academy life, they are unexpectedly sent out on a mission to investigate the town of Normaden. They learn that a Witch, a powerful monster that sometimes grows from humans with magical potential, has developed in the region. Their Professor takes on the role of exterminating the Witch itself, leaving the students to handle some of its Familiars. During the students' fight, though, they are unexpectedly brought face to face with an Angel. After a fierce fight, the students are victorious and return to their homes safely.

Back in Uruk, the plots grow thicker. A massive force of Angels has gathered near Babylon, and the head honchos discuss plans of how to deal with the threat. The Academy's Headmaster learns that the Angel that the students encountered was sent by the Chief of the Galileians. What could Chief Herschel be plotting, and why involve these young Mages?

Completely unaware of these plots, the students are assigned another mission: to resolve an incident over who should possess a valuable research subject. They will be escorted and monitored by Essence Parker, one of the academy's Student Council members...

    Alice: Out and About

    MwcHKee.png

====================================================================

After last night's supper, nothing eventful happened for Londo. His usual nightly routine went off without a hitch. However-

His morning routine, or rather lack of, was rudely interupted by alarms going off. Londo quickly shot out of his bed, excited for the prospect of something amazingly huge happening! Alice, on the other hand, groaned sleepily, contemplating whether to go to sleep or not again. In the end, she succumbed to the alarms' blearing glares, and used her spirit magic to change clothes instantly, which Londo noted was weird.

"Hey wait a second! If you can switch clothes like that, why did I have to go shopping for you?!"

Alice gave him a glance, very sleepylike, then shrugged. Clearly there was no time to explain with the alarm going off!

So Londo and Alice left the dorm room after brushing teeth to go to their class on behest of the voice in their heads. Londo transformed on the way to show how ready he was.

In the classroom, Londo only had one question, "So you're saying we can go wild, just protect civvies! Got it! Sounds like a job for Londo Sperry, the GREAT! This is the moment I've been waiting for! Total peril, and a hero to come save the day!" Londo said shadowboxing the air, "Where we droppin' at, Teach?"

Alice, who would have been one to stop him from acting like a buffoon, was sitting at a desk with her head buried in her arms, still trying to catch a bit more zzz's.

    Lyka: On Hibiscus's desk

    iPD4wqD.png

====================================================================

Hibiscus's Dorm Room: July 29th, after dinner

After the dinner, Hibiscus had gone to her room with Lyka. She performed her nightly routine, such as taking a shower and changing into pajamas. Since she had nothing else to do, she decided to reread a book from one of her favourite series: Hairy Otter, the story about an ordinary otter that was told it was a magical wizard on its 11th birthday. It was a ridiculous premise yea, but Hibiscus still loved it. Of course, there was also books from Nick Fjordan, about the Gods of the Old World, but after today, Hibiscus wanted to enjoy a fantasy place not having anything to do with her own world.

After a bit of reading, it had become pretty late, so Hibiscus decided to sleep for the night, but one thing kept bothering her... Londo had gone on a shopping trip earlier that day right? Did he have a job of some sorts to get money for income? Of course, Hibiscus could have asked her parents for the money, but she wanted to be independant of them now that she was a mage also I don't want to spend CP for temporary bonuses. I'm not Chad enough to do that.

A job, hmmm... Hibiscus thought, as she drifted off to sleep.

Hibiscus's Dorm Room: August 3rd, 3 am

An alarm blared through her room, and Hibiscus bolted upright, panicking, "W-What's happening?! W-Who's there?!"

Meanwhile, Lyka groggily sat up from her pillow, "Shut the fuck UP! Jesus it's the middle of the morning for Gods' sake!" She yelled to the ceiling, then trying to put the enormous pillow around her ears but failing, since she was so tiny she couldn't hold the pillow like that to begin with.

When the voice over the speakers told everyone to meet in the classroom, Hibiscus tried hopping out of bed fast, but immediately fell flat on her face, due to her legs still not have woken up yet, "O-Owwwwww..."

After changing and brushing her teeth, Hibiscus sighed, then told Lyka, "Let's go, Transform!" While Lyka lazily floated up to Hibiscus's pocket, taking the moment to sleep a bit more.

Classroom 107

In the class, Hibiscus quickly found her seat and listened to the teacher's briefing. Or at the very least tried to. Her eyes were starting to massively shift closed and she couldn't think of a way to keep them open. Only getting 5 hours of sleep really wore Hibiscus out. (Yea it's 5 hours, don't start saying "omg I can go on 3" because you're special or something. Normal people can't actually operate on only 5 hours of sleep.)

Hibiscus raised her hand to ask the teacher a question, "Yea... Can we get an energy drink or something? I'm afraid to fight when I can barely keep my eyes open." While lyka snoozed on the desk Hibiscus was trying her hardest not to plant her face into.

Almeida

Waking up to the sound of sirens wasn't ideal, but it wasn't a first, so Almeida go up and went along with the instructions, after splashing herself with enough water to get the worst sleepiness out of hers system. Upon entering the class with Valerius, she was a bit surprised to learn of the current station. These 'gates' were something new, after all. They were given a chance to ask some questions, but none of them felt relevant. The only thing Almeida really wanted to know was; "What kind of monsters?" After all, whether they were being up against Angels, Wraiths, plant monsters, or something entirely new, would make a fair bit of difference. She'd also be screwed if she was up against anything that could fly, for that matter.

The alarm awoke Ozymandius with a start. He jumped up, grabbing the pistol from his nightstand in a daze, and pointed the weapon at the door. He was alert now, the shrieking warning sirens easily rising him from the hazy stupor the came right after sleep and getting the adrenaline pumping in his body. He had even transformed on instinct. Exceritus looked at him with a bemused glance and then rolled her eyes at the headmaster's call. It was time for Ozy to do what he did best it seemed. As the call went out Ozy wasted no time in summoning his troops, seven soldiers appeared, one armed with a machinegun, three with semi-automatic rifles, and the rest with submachine guns, all dressed similarly to Ozy. (-90 prana) The group fell in behind him at a quick step as he began making his way to the classroom. The dormitories themselves were a flurry of activity as mages of all different types woke up and geared up for battle.

Ozymandius did not banter words as he entered the classroom with troops in tow. Most who had trained with him should have been familiar with the appearances of the summons (Even though they had inexplicably changed). The summons would stay out of the way of others and would not respond to anything but Ozy's command. The situation as explained by Okamoto was grim and given the relative inexperience of their group Ozy could not help but wonder if they would be more liability then help. Nonetheless it seemed that all were being called on to serve without thought for age or experience. Crossing his arms from his position in the classroom he grimly spoke. "Is there anyone else that will be coming with us?" He asked as he looked around at the rest of the class, tone speaking of doubt.

Elisa

Elisa walked through an unknown landscape of white sand and endless darkness. Her skin was like glass with stars and galaxies painted within, wearing nothing but a few linens; it was like she was a doll breathen life and now it was walking without it's strings attached. Suddenly the air jolted with electricity and giant constructs lit up as thunder jolted between them. The lightning expanded the landscape and the constructs had an eerie resemblance of the synapses of brain, just each was the size of a planet. Black hadrons floated in the air and suddenly a red signal bounced across, turning the sky red. Elisa crumbled down on her kneecaps as a warm breeze blew through her hair: "... It's too early to wake up." She leaned backwards and lied down on the white sand, watching at the endless expanse of constructs with lightning arching all accross. Soon Elisa found herself sinking into the sand, into an endless depth.

. . .

Elisa got up on her bed. Her eyes were narrowly open, face blank and emotioneless. She turned to face the door and started walking, dragging her blanket with her all the way to the door. She then opened the door and walked a few more steps outside, leaving her blanket between the door and leaving the dormitory room 44 door open.

Upon exiting her room she zig-zagged through the aisles, taking the shortest route to the class-room. Wearing nothing but a loosely buttoned pyjama. As Elisa walked her skin started cracking and eventually she had perfectly transformed. She was one creepy sleepwalker.

The transformed girl approached the class room and after a few tugs, she opened the door and walked to her seat and sat down. Her frame instinctively leaned towards the desk until her forehead hit the desk until her transformation was undone. Her sleep was oddly tranquil despite given the circumstances.

After a moment she would mumble: "Let me sleep... Don't-wake-the-dreamer." in a rather loud voice.

Ryan was sleeping soundly when the alarms went off, and naturally, they got him awake. Jumping in his bed, almost falling off of it. Once he regained balance, Ryan sat up properly on the edge of the bed, where he tried to start moving, as the loud voice indicated. That's when he heard a sigh behind him "They got you too? That's surprising..." Tidrog slowly rose to his feet "Just because I get up before you, doesn't mean I don't sleep..." As Tidrog answered, Ryan grabbed the first decent pieces of clothing he found and got into them: A dark yellow tank top, and black track pants. Certainly showing more of his athletic frame than usual. He splashed his face with cold water a couple of times, before getting out of his room and locking the door behind him.
With Tidrog in tow, Ryan made his way to his classroom. Only making a quick detour to get an energy drink, which he got about halfway done with the can. The drink slowly started to do its magic on him. For now though, Ryan remained quiet, still kind of processing the level of chaos that awaited them...

Dorm room: 34

Rainer was peacefully sleeping in his room. Completely satisfied with the last few days. Well, not really, but he was pretty close to satisfied. His average nighttime dream consisted of imagery of large kittens meowing for "Jon". This is fairly standard for children who like animals. Rainer was enjoying dreamland up until World War III broke out apparently.

Rainer opened his eyes and got out of bed, listening to the short message and going on about his morning. He went and did a short prayer to Atziri, got himself dressed, in the "cleanest" clothing he could get. Unfortunately, his wardrobe consisted of one 1 white uniform, and well the school one, who'd wear that, lol. So he put on his white uniform, which was slightly stained with interesting colors.

Dorm Hallways

Silent chanting could be heard throughout the hallways for a few minutes, while Rainer was slowly walking and "silently" continued getting some morning prays in.

Classroom: 107

Rainer entered the classroom with his usual smile. He had fully awoken by the time he got to the classroom and all was well. He'd just go into the background and listen to the latest World War III news.

Professor Okamoto
gsaKz4R.jpg

Naturally, there were a number of questions. Some were quite useful questions to ask, too. Others were from Londo.

First was a question from the newest member of the class, one "Mislyte". The first part was of questionable use, but the second was perfectly natural to ask. "As I said just a moment ago, we have yet to be assigned to a Gate. As for how long you must hold: you hold until you are relieved by another force, or until the situation has been taken care of."

Turning to Londo, Okamoto continued. "We don't know where we're 'dropping' yet. Though I wouldn't mind drop kicking you through one of the Gates." Okamoto must not have had her coffee; she didn't usually share those sentiments aloud.

Hibiscus's question also wasn't particularly useful for the class as a whole, but Okamoto gestured towards the door with her thumb. "There's a vending machine down the hall."

Thankfully, Almeida decided to ask a question that got them back on track. "Unfortunately, there does not seem to be any major trend thus far on what types of monsters are coming forth. Some of them are releasing goblins, others are releasing dire wolves, and so on. I've heard a couple even opened up their other end in the ocean and are releasing some aquatic monsters."

Ozymandius seemed to have doubts about whether their class could handle such responsibility, and was hoping that someone else would be there to assist them. "No, nobody else will be accompanying us. Though if our battle draws on too long, reinforcements or replacements might be sent."

And then there was Elisa. "If you wanted to sleep, you shouldn't have gotten out of bed." As Professor Okamoto spoke, a dagger crafted from Prana formed in her right hand. In one fluid motion, the dagger was pulled back and sent flying across the room, where it embedded itself deep into the top of Elisa's right shoulder.

Edit: removed the aura damage, since aura wasn't active

Elisa

There was no aura to protect the poor girl...

The dagger sank itself into the shoulder of the poor girl, severing deep and damaging tendons as her frame was pushed back slightly. The fabric in her pyjama profilerated a red color and small droplets came visible. Soon it got soggy and eventually drenched in blood. For the first few seconds there was no change but very soon it was like the start of a drizzle. With a delay her eyes narrowed open, intoxicated by melatonin she had difficulties to perceive her surroundings and she was trapped inside her own body even, if she wanted to wake up; suffering from the momentarily sleep paralysis. By now her pristine white pyjama's sleeve was completely drenched from blood and like a sponge the cloth was sinking in more and more of the red color and spread through the cloth.

After a moment Elisa pushed herself off from the desk but stumbled because of her shoulder. She then used her other hand. Her face was now also drenched in her own blood. The worst part for her was that it was so in-line with some of the hallucinations that she had suffered from before that Elisa was unable to discern the reality from what she assumed was just part of a lucid nightmare.

As Elisa was waking up and her body was slowly attempting to realize that something was wrong, the dizziness from the perpetual bloodloss was counteracting this. It didn't help that the blood was making her think that she was still asleep.

Almeida

Almeida wondered why Hibiscus' question was even answered especially when Elisa's weirdness would be met with a straight up attack. It also seemed like they knew next to nothing about what they were getting into, which was less than ideal. One thing was pretty clear though. "Woah, chill the fuck out! I'm pretty sure there are healthier ways to snap her out of it!" She shouted at Okamoto, before heading to Elisa. If Hibby was around to heal, she'd carefully dislodge the knife. If not, she'd ask Hibby to come over first. In either scenario, she'd end up trying to snap Elisa out of it. "Hey, Elisa, wake up!" She'd say, while gently yet firmly holding onto her non-injured shoulder.

As Hibiscus started to leave the room to go get an energy drink, she felt Almeida grab her shoulder and ask her to heal Elisa, "T-The hell?!" She exclaimed.

In her sleepy stupor, she did not even realize Elisa had a knife thrown at her. Fortunately, it was only in her shoulder, and there didn't seem to be enemies here. Unfortuantely, as someone pointed out, it seemed like their own teacher had thrown a knife at her. What for, Hibiscus did not know, but Hibiscus still drew a Mark on Elisa, then healed her with her own healing spell. For such a small wound, Hibiscus wished she had something smaller. Also her Prana and Aura would be slightly diminished. Hopefully that would replenish before the mission, "I can't heal tendons, so if it cut anything you'd have to see someone else for that." She explained to Elisa.

Hibiscus turned and gave the teacher a dirty look, "The hell did you go and do that for?"

  • Mislyte would react to the situation in the class room by transforming.

  • ready to get news and move on

Mislyte's eyes went wide in shock and they were already alert due to the ongoing situation in the city. He instictively flinched away from the blade and his injured classmate after the attack had already landed. His nerves were getting the best of him as his composure started to crack. Rather than keeping Split soothed, he gripped the shortsword like a drowning man clinging to a life raft. It was bad enough they had to fight monsters. Dealing with temperamental teachers on top of it was cruel.

"...Transform..."
"...Tran...sfo...rm..."

Embracing the mental exercises and allowing the magic energies to course through him, he was able to regain his sense of self and the situation at hand. He could sit a little straighter and was all the more ready for whatever happened next. While he spoke the words softly, the physiological changes were apparent and striking in comparison to his original appearance. Split, the sword, and the sheath also changed forms, resembling a series of glued together shards of black, broken glass.

Ryan finished his drink while he heard Yuki answer to her student's questions. It was mostly her usual self talking... But being particularly aggressive towards Londo, which already got him somewhat riled up. Ryan tried his best to simply ignore his teacher's attitude, but her next action drove him over the edge. Unlike Rainer's innocent mistake a couple days ago, Yuki suddenly and deliberately attacked Elisa. Ryan did a Time Skip. His chair and desk loudly moved, while Ryan slammed his hands on the podium, all sounding at the same time. While glaring directly at Yuki's eyes with anger, he exclaimed "Apologize, right now!" Ryan gave a couple of seconds for Yuki to retort, but he quickly cut her off... If she did so at all, otherwise, he'd still follow up "It doesn't matter what excuse you have! That is NOT the way to treat your students!"

Londo didn't much mind the kicking through gates comment, as he thought that would have been a fun time! However, after Elisa got a knife shoved into her shoulder by the air that was whizzed through by a knife thrown by the teacher, Londo couldn't deal with that.

Ryan seemed to be getting into an angry mood, and Londo joined in, "I agree! It's one thing to talk about throwing knives at the other students. It's another to actually do it! People are gonna die and you throw the first casualty towards a student! That's not right!" Londo said, standing on a desk in between Elisa and the teacher so she couldn't do it again without hitting Londo or having insane accuracy to throw around him. or a curving knife. Actually that sounded pretty awesome.

This was certainly a very educational scene for Rainer to witness. That's right. When he becomes all powerful, he can also play with people at will, by using his authority. Muahahahaah. Honestly, he sensed inspiration coming from the business outfit big breasted onee-san. Seeing this unfold had truly opened his eyes.

Everyone was freaking out like crazy, even Rainer's spirit started freaking out and did some occasional screeching once in a while, while the tension grew high. So basically, the current IC battle music is the shit. A screeching plant!!

Professor Okamoto
ZVbDinw.jpg

Well, the entire class seemed to be awake now, at least. Nothing like a bit of adrenaline to get the blood flowing.

Ryan was the first to cause further trouble, using a teleportation ability to close the gap rapidly. The idea probably was better on paper than it was on principle; one does not simply rush at someone who has been training for combat for the past decade. As Ryan began to demand an apology, he suddenly felt something sticking into his mouth. In a flash almost as quick as Ryan's teleport, Okamoto had drawn her katana and stuck it point-first into Ryan's mouth. It was perfectly positioned so as to not pierce into any flesh as long as he remained still, though he would surely lose pieces of tongue if he tried to continue speaking.

"No, I will not apologize," she stated. One eye was fixed on Ryan, while the other flicked across the room in search of any further aggressors. Seeing none, both eyes switched to just surveying the room and focusing on whomever was speaking or being addressed at the time.

"Relax, all of you. I took great care to ensure I missed her head. The only way she'd die from such a wound is if she let it get infected." She reached into the podium drawer with her unoccupied left hand, pulled out a rattling bottle, and lightly tossed it towards Elisa, Almeida, and Hibiscus (and anyone else in that vicinity). It appeared to be full of small pills. "Two of those, three minutes, and her arm will never even know it was wounded."

"And you wish to know why? Its simple. I have family here in this city. Mages are those who have been granted the powers of superhuman capabilities, magic, and resurrection. Those who have power have a responsibility to the powerless. So if some brat thinks that her sleep is more important than the lives of civilians - than the lives of my family and my friends' families - she has something else coming to her. She can at least count herself lucky that she at least was smart enough to show up; if she hadn't even done that much, I would not have been so merciful."

Ozymandius remained silent through the affair, listening as Okamoto spoke, before she propelled a knife into a sleeping girl. He raised his eyebrows as reactions around the room began. He was quiet until Okamoto finished her tirade. "Oh?" Ozy remarked in an irritated tone as the woman stood with a katana neatly sat inside the mouth of child. "How about this then, Hibiscus has now gone and used a bit of her own power to fix part of that neat little wound you caused. You have lowered the chances of our success now. The same goes for any injury you might cause to him." He continued nodding at Ryan. "Immortal or not, they are still children. They have emotions, thoughts, and fears the same as anyone else, and they certainly haven't been in enough battles to harden them up as well as you, myself, or Almeida. A lack of understanding cannot be rectified with pain. Rash actions will get you nowhere and will only cause greater risk to those you are with and to the people dear to you. Let us focus on the task at hand. Certainly a strategy will be far more useful then quibbling about and punishing the actions of children."

Elisa

The fast treatment didn't really help with the messy aspects of blood. Elisa was slowly starting to realize that it wasn't a dream but rather this was reality. She was too tired to act visibly shocked. Elisa pulled the knife out from her shoulder with a yelping whimper of pain and let it be healed. The details of the incidents were mostly hazy but for some reason the teacher was hellbent on fighting her own students.

Elisa realized that she was still on her pyjamas, although the clothes were mostly soiled now with blood. (White with bloodstains, isn't necessarily the best combination.) '... I was sleepwalking again...' Elisa bit her index finger and then focused on Okamoto's speech.

Elisa grabbed a pill and consumed it before giving her own input to the escalated situation: "I know you haven't been paying any attention to your students, you're like every other teacher in here who have the dellusion of running the happy academy. My magic comes from dreams. You should probably learn to act on reason and not over emotions. Clearly it isn't working out well for you."

    Lyka: On Hibiscus's desk

    iPD4wqD.png

====================================================================

Hibiscus put her knife and book in her pocket, while Lyka lazily dozed off on the desk. Hibiscus sighed, "Listen, let's not all get into an argument about this. Teacher is an asshole, end of story, no need to start getting into a fight before the fight. Let's all calm down and just wait for the assignment." Hibiscus said, not wanting to say she was pretty miffed that she was pretty much just made useless by magic pills.

Hibiscus then walked back to her desk and picked up Lyka, "Unnnng... 5 more minutes..." She mumbled, as Hibiscus left the room to supposedly get an energy drink.

Out of the classroom, Hibiscus started talking to Lyka, making sure noone else was around, "I'm a bit worried, Lyka. The timing is just too bad to be a coincidence."

"'Bout what Hibbyyyyy?..." Lyka asked, slurring her words.

Hibiscus, finally getting to the vending machine, looked around, making sure noone else was there. There was, but they seemed too much in a hurry to be listening, "You know, about what happened to my trip to the library. What Chiseko said about the grimoire." Hibiscus explained, thinking for a moment, then going to a nearby window to look out at the sky-

It was normal. The same sky she saw every night. Hibiscus sighed with a mixture of relief and somewhat boredom. She was actually kind of glad to be transformed, else she'd be freaking out a lot more, "Guess not. The sky is compeltely normal. If it really did have something to do with the Doppel, then all the world would be dyed in scarlet. She also mentioned..." Hibiscus shook her head. Now wasn't the time to think of the supposed prophecy, or whether or not it was real. If it was real... Hibiscus might be in big trouble.

Hibiscus went back to the vending machine, Lyka now completely sleeping again and having ignored what Hibiscus had said basically to herself. At least Hibiscus was able to confirm that the world wasn't ending, or that 'mistress' wasn't going to appear.

Grateful for the fact that she was transformed, Hibiscus went back into the classroom to see what chaos had unfolded, then went back to her seat if noone needed healing.

Professor Okamoto

Ozymandius spoke up for the second time since entering the classroom this night, and he had some bold, if misguided, thoughts to share.

"While I realize that you are fairly new to the usage of Prana, you ought to have a decent estimate of how quickly it regenerates by now. Hibiscus's Prana reserves ought to refill themselves by the time we have been dispatched and arrive at our destination, even if she uses more to restore the bit of Aura she spent.

"And Ryan is not foolish enough to make any sudden movements right now, nor am I careless enough to let my hand slip. He will sustain no injuries, and he will receive a lesson on why one should not suddenly get up in a veteran Mage's face and shout at them. Most of us aren't fond of being surprised like that."
As she finished speaking on that matter, she deftly slid the katana out of Ryan's mouth, taking care not to make any accidental cuts.

"I also don't see why you'd pass someone sleeping during a crisis as being due to a lack of combat experience. If anything, rookies are normally too nervous to get much sleep during stressful situations, rather than sleeping through a briefing. And clearly, since even the alarms from earlier were not enough to wake her, something more drastic was required."

Elisa took one of the pills (a vanilla-flavored one), ignoring the recommended dosage of two, and would soon feel a strange sensation in her shoulder. It was not painful, but neither was it pleasant. Instinctively, she knew that her shoulder was repairing itself, though it felt like it'd take longer than the supposed three minutes for two pills.

"You say your magic comes from dreams, but unlike other wielders of dream-related magic at the Academy, such as Professor Lamarre, you have yet to demonstrate the ability to either participate in a meeting or fight while asleep. Manage that, and I will have no issues with you sleeping at times such as this."

"But Ozymandius is right." Okamoto finished sheathing her katana and swept her gaze across the room. "Now that we are all awake and paying attention, we can strategize. Sadly, without knowing where or what we will be fighting, it's difficult to come up with any specifics, so we'll be forced to stick to vague guidelines rather than a detailed plan.

"For myself, as the strongest fighter and the only one with vertical mobility magic, I will focus on eliminating any flying enemies. If there are none, I will act independently to prevent monsters from flanking us or bypassing our positions on other streets, engage particularly strong foes, and so on.

Thanks to practice sessions, you all, with the exception of Mislyte and possibly Rainer, ought to have a decent grasp of each of your own fighting styles and how you will interact with each other during combat. As I may be separated from you at times, you should choose amongst yourselves someone to take command. If you have need of-"

Okamoto suddenly stopped speaking as she raised her left hand to her left ear, her focus clearly diverted away from the class along with her gaze as she turned to face the map on the board behind her. "Understood." Removing her hand from her ear, she turned back around to the class as she stepped aside to allow them a better view of the map, which was zooming in on a section of the city.

"We're up. A Gate is beginning to form on Richmond Avenue. Centennial Square, on the west outlet of the street, contains numerous large facilities that are being used as civilian evacuation points. We'll set up between the Gate and the Square to cut off any monsters from getting to the civilians there. No information on what monsters are coming through yet. Any questions, ask them as you move. Let's go." Okamoto would then immediately head for the door and out towards her destination on the streets of Uruk, moving swiftly, but not so fast that the slower students were left behind.
