Before Mai could move any closer the Sekerei launched forward at her, cupped her face in his hands and then kissed her. She was sure it was a rule somewhere about kissing two guys back to back, no matter the situation. Gosh what must that look like to someone out side of things. As soon as their lips touched, intense blue light sprung from the Sekerei, electric wings formed behind the Sekerei and Mai could not look away, it was beautiful. In an array of lights they slowly faded, and Mai felt herself transfixed for the second time that day. The man looked into her eyes uttering words that sealed the bond between Ashikabi and Sekerei and then he collapsed.

She winced when his body hit the ground. Boy was he gonna have a headache when he woke up. Not being able to move him, and not wanting to leave him alone to find Kei for help Mai got on her knees, picked up his head, and laid it to rest on her lap, using the edge of her sweater to wipe the sweat from his head.

"I don't even know your name."

Mai could not see anything from the alleyway and she only hoped that Kei was alright. She had no clue how many others he was trying to take on, or what state he would come back to her in.

"It'll be alright." She wasn't quite sure if she was speaking to herself, the Sekerei she held, or to Kei, wherever he was. Figures moved closer to where Mai sat and her heart rested a bit when she saw that it was Kei. The next thing she saw was a ball of fire headed in her direction. All of her instincts screamed at her to move and to avoid the blow... But if she did she would leave the man defenseless, and she knew she wouldn't be able to do that. Mai wrapped her body around the Sekerei, her back facing the attack, and she covered the mans head with her arms, figuring that to be of the most importance.

She closed her eyes, almost to a point that it became painful. Gosh that looked like it would hurt... A lot. Fire hit the wall besides her, ricocheting in all directions. She could feel the heat from it near the side of her face, and then she could feel it getting hotter on her back. She quickly straightened up, threw off her sweater, and tossed it away from her, watching as it was quickly swallowed by flames.

Mai looked up with a scowl on her face. Knowing full well that the other Sekerei might not even hear her she yelled anyway, absolutely sure it was the same one who chased after them and tried to burn her to a crisp.

"That is the second time, clothes don't just replace themselves! Are you trying to kill me!?"
