Theolyn turned to look towards the young man who spoke first, standing beside a black beast who seemed to seep some sort of strange, green liquid. He had a bit of an attitude, which seemed to match that of the woman who so artfully spoke out towards him just a few seconds ago. Giving a smile, he nodded and spoke again, his words kind. "My name is Theolyn Khumar. I am a farmer and a physician hailing from the city of Lortania, nestled just before the North Mountains." He turned and bowed his head towards the man who now came to be known as Chandra, his smile growing. "It is a pleasure to meet you officially Chandra, and I thank you again for the help of the Miss Calina and Miss Cora."

Turning back then, he looked to the man who spoke and once more offered the mixed plants to snack on. "Might I come to know your name as well, sir?"

At his side, Nyteria gave a slight sniff, turning her gaze towards the woman who gave such harsh words before looking towards the dragon standing beside her like a shadow. The cowering creature on his side reminded the little Emerald of a frightened bird, and she peeked around to get a better look at the glowing creature, her thoughts offering a small bit of comfort towards the little female were she to accept it. ~I'm Nyteria,~ she said gently, lowering her head to the level that the little dragoness had let hers drop to, ~Are you alright? Do you need anything?~

As per the usual, Chandra had to speak up and show his trust of the strangers, making Shirin grumble in irritation. The warrioress was not one to trust easily, nor was she one to just outright give her name. Keeping her arms, crossed, she downright ignored the comment made by the snarky male across the opening from her, turning her nose away from him and standing nearly as still as a statue. It would be a considerable amount of time before she would actually speak her name. After all, for the last year and a half, she had done no mercenary work at all, and she knew damn well that there were no jobs to be had here.

All she knew was that such talk was a simple waste of time. There was nothing to gather for a fire, and while it was summer, the temperatures could drop dramatically if they were not careful. They did at least need to find a source of water, however, lest they die of dehydration. Who knew how long this pass went for?

After a moment of her silence, she finally spoke again, still refusing to give her name. "If we are to be stuck here, we should at least gather some necessities. Water, for a start. Perhaps some sort of fire kindling…and whatever food these mountains may provide us. If we're lucky, we can find a few rats around here somewhere. At the very least, we need to be able to survive this nightmare and get to that island that the stranger spoke of. Perhaps then, our dragons will be safe."

Kilyria had been traveling behind the big man who was so generously carrying her rider, with Cora and Cassius on her heels. Her midnight blue eyes gazed fondly at her Calina- who had actually fallen asleep as she had ridden the back of the man calling himself Chandra, a testament to how exhausted she truly was-, she continued to send waves of soothing comfort over her, even in her sleep as to help her sleep peacefully and deeply. ~Cassius, how is Cora holding up? How are you holding up? Has it been too long away from water for you?~ she asked her friend. She knew his need for water on his scales, and it had it has been a while since they've had a chance to swim. She herself also longed for open water, the feel of the water flowing against her limbs as she surged forward. She trekked on diligently, chatting back and forth with Cass, and also trying to send comfort over to Cora, but she had always only managed to do it with her rider, she managed a little tickle, one she might notice if she was paying attention, which she probably was. She hummed softly, a tune that was near and dear to at least her sailor, one from their home that the duo had abandoned in a frenzy to protect her and Cass. Her hauntingly beautiful voice echoing softly throughout the pass for all who heard it to take comfort in.

As they reached an opening that allowed them to span across a little, she nudged her rider, waking her softly. She felt her spike of awareness jump to, and then the frustration at having fallen asleep against her will. Sending another wave over her, she nudged her, asking her to let go of the man for a few minutes, and rest on her. She knew she wasn't strong enough to carry Cal herself just yet, but she still craved her touch.

Shortly into the travel through the pass, Calina had rested her head on the big man's chest, and listened to his steady heartbeat, the rhythm strong strong and steadying. Despite her fight to stay conscious, the blood loss combined with the exhaustion won over and she had fallen asleep. As they came to a stop, she jerked to consciousness as Ki's snout gently nudged her lower back. Frustration and embarrassment flooded through her, coloring her cheeks at the fact that she had fallen asleep on the man's back. Again, she felt the wave of love rush over her, followed by a more insistent nudging from her dear Kilyria. She allowed herself a small smile, and a chuckle. She tapped Chandra on the shoulder, letting him know she wanted to get down, and when he complied Calina found she could stand upright and even walk with much less discomfort. She stepped up to her dragon, and looked up to meet those gorgeous eyes with a look of fondness none other could bring about. Her Kilyria had grown significantly in the past year and a half. Growing from the size of a puppy to the size of a small horse. Cal brought her arms up slowly-to avoid jarring the injury and hamper the bandage that has been put in place- and took her dragons head in her hands, her thumbs tracing circles on the silvery cheeks. She smiled as Ki heaved a sigh and leaned in to her touch. She had thought she would lose her in the fight, there was no where she would have been able to run...and her normal peaceful very non violent self had turned to fighting within seconds of her being hurt...she didn't want to express any of this aloud, but Ki was intuned to her feelings, and Cal could sense her dragon's feeling with ease. Ki felt the same, she had always been the glue in situations like these...keeping her from falling apart.

Theolyn's voice broke through her thoughts, and Cal reluctantly stepped from her dragon's embrace, and turned, still resting her hand on Ki's back. Her stomach roared to life at the mention of food, but she kept silent, despite the chuckle she felt resonating in her friend. Ki, however, stepped forward, leaving Cal to stand on her own for a few seconds, and gently accepted a little bit of the leaves that the large farmer had offered. Nudging him in thanks for helping Calina. Returning to her rider's side, she munched the plants swiftly and swallowed them. She disliked plants, but she had needed something to eat. Her breath weapon almost always took it out of her...

Cal remained stoic throughout the entire exchange, listening to the doubts and snarky comments being made without raising her voice to meet them. She and Ki maneuvered slightly to stand closer to the duo that had become their friends through the past several years. "You okay?" Cal turned to face Cora, her face the normal mask of neutrality. She knew her fellow sailor craved open water as much, if not more than herself, and Cass would need it very soon. [/dash]
