"This isn't going to be a habit, is it?" Ier-Briar joked, as he walked into the restaurant. Though it was already full, he had made a reservation beforehand, and a waitress in a dress shirt and trousers escorted the two to a window-side seat. It turned out to be not quite as scenic of a view as he had expected, unfortunately, with the orange rays of a sunset irritating his eyes.

Should have brought some shades, really, but who wears sunglasses indoors?

Ier-Briar shielded his eyes with the menu as he flipped through it. "So, whatcha ordering?"

She giggled as they walked to their seats. "S-Sorry, time management isn't one of my strong suits." She took her seat across from Ier-Briar in booth and looked out the window. The rays of the sun didn't seem to both her much. Ier-Briar caught her attention barely has he spoke. "Oh, I don't know yet. Let's see what my options are." She flipped through the menu, trying to eye down something that sounded good to her.

Ier-Briar turned over his own menu, pointing at one of the items. "I'd suggest the soda. It's cheap and has free refills, so if you feel like it, you can just drink your stomach full and save me a bunch of money!"

"I can pay for my own food if it's a problem Ier-Briar, I have more money than I could want to spend. Perks of the whole, 'Forced to come here' thing." She whispered quietly, "but I do love soda. Some chicken sounds good too." She seems to have made her choice, seeing as how she put her menu down and looked out the window again while she waited for the waitress to return to take their orders. "So, would you like to hear what happened to me and my parents the day they died? I was thinking while I was in the shower that were both partners now. I shouldn't keep secrets from you, because you're the only person I can trust. I want you to trust me as well." She looked back Ier-Briar to see if he was paying attention.

Ier-Briar decided to get fried rice battered with peanut sauce himself and waved off her concerns. "My wallet isn't that small. I suppose I can afford to splurge for one night, seeing how we're going to get paid anyways."

As the conversation took a more serious turn, however, the red-haired youth narrowed his eyes, leaning in. The sentiment was appreciated, but at the same time…he was the only person she could trust? And she was forced to come here? That was definitely…odd. Did she make no friends in Regalia? Or had she been taking private lessons the whole time?

"If you're comfortable with that, go for it."

The waitress came by and took their orders, giving them their drinks. "Well, I was about 15. My family wasn't together often because my father worked a lot. I didn't get to see him a whole lot. Finally, he found some vacation time and me and my parents decided we'd do something fun. They knew I loved swimming so, the first thing we had in mind was that of course. Then...on our way there, we were attacked. On of those monsters attacked us, it was a ginormous spider. My parents were dead before I had time to even react to what was going on. My father was wearing my Signet Bracelet, and I knew it had magic power. As soon as I touched it, it locked onto my wrist and magic began conjuring itself. Fire lit the beast on fire and I did nothing. Next thing I knew, I was forced here, after I attended my parents funeral. I can't get it off, so the only thing I could do was learn how to use my power."

Their food had arrived as she finished her last sentence. She took a bite of her chicken. "This is why I am now terrified of spiders."
