A long time ago, so long that no one can even remember when or who delivered the prophecy. It was said that four babies would be born. Each baby would a strong affinity for one of the elements. fire, water, earth, and wind. The king at the time was a tyrant who ruled with an iron fist. The lands were in ruins, the people lived in poverty. Yet legend said that these children would rise up and restore the land to its former glory. The children were born, as foretold, around twenty or so years ago. The moment these children were born, the king had his guards whisk them away and lock them in a tower together.

On top of the poverty, the two races fought for supremacy. Humans and Demons constantly fought for power and what little food there was. This kept most of his subjects out of his way. If they were too busy fighting each other, they would pay him no mind.

It has been many years since that day, yet brave warriors still rise up and try to reach the tower. It is not as easy as it seems though. The king had his mages plant spells around the tower, ones that are not easily broken. Not to mention the battalion of guards that watch the entrance day and night. Plus it is rumored that a large stone door seals the tower, a riddle written across it.

Will you be one of the brave and try to free the elementals? Or will you continue to live in poverty under the rule of the king?

Key Locations
...So Far...
Elemental Tower ~ A large, black tower in the middle of nowhere. It is filled with several rooms and is rather luxurious on the inside to keep the Elementals comfortable and happy. The tower is surrounded by a tall, stone wall with a barrier around the top to prevent anyone from vaulting the wall or flying in.

Oakdale Village ~ A small village that is the closest village to the rumored location of the tower and the place where most heroes depart from. It is a rather average village with an inn that provides free room and board to those who plan to set out for the tower called the "Heroes Lodge"

Heroes Beginning
PLEASE READ!!
Winny has traveled from village to village, posting signs searching for heroes. Your hero has found this sign and is interested in joining the party questing for the tower. The flyer said to meet on this day at this time in the Heroes Lodge in Oakdale where they would depart from the next day after a good night's rest and a decent meal. You have just arrived in Oakdale and are seeking out the inn and the hero who posted the flyers.

Rules Reminder!!
1. Obvious. No god-modding.
2. Respect the other people. If your character wants to bitch slap another character and cuss them out, go right ahead. If youwant to bitch slap another person and cuss them out, take it out of the thread and preferably to a moderator. I'm not going to handle your petty arguments. At least not nicely.
3. Damn, shit, ass, etc... If you don't like it, don't continue because there is going to be much more of it in the future.
4. Literacy. Learn the word. Love it. Because I do. I'm not going to go all grammar Nazi on you, just please... please... respect the English language... After all. Good grammar is the difference between helping you Uncle Jack off a horse, and helping your uncle jack off a horse. I will behave. Until i 2ee 2hiit liike thii2. OR SHIT LIKE THIS. I do not want to feel like I am being screamed at through text. I, however, will not murder you for one or two misspellings. Everyone makes mistakes. I understand this. Just, like I said. Please don't abuse the English language. It is a beautiful thing.
5. One liners are the enemy. Can we have at least a paragraph? Is that too much to ask? If I see a single sentence post, I will go beyond flipping my shit. I understand writer's block is a common issue, just please don't drop below three sentences.
6. If you have read these rules in their complete glory, please put "Save the Elements" in your character sheet. If I do not see this, you do not get accepted. Plain and simple. I will tell you that you can have a place once you've read the rules.
7. All characters must be approved by me before joining the role play. This is to prevent stupidity and, once more, to prevent shit flipping.
8. Each person is allowed to have two characters.
9. If you are gone for more than a week without giving me a valid reason before you disappear, you will be removed from the RP. We're not all waiting on one person, we want to keep moving. If you are going on vacation or something tell me before you leave.
10. @Petricus Euryale has the same power I do. Listen to him like you'd listen to me. He's my husband and partner in crime. His words are law just like mine are.

~Jun Of The Torrent~

With a bright smile full of expectation, Jun looks towards Kimiko as first she responds to the suggestion. Buuuuuuut she doesn't give the answer Jun had been hoping for. Her smile fades a little… maybe the brothers will agree that today would be a wonderful day for reading!

Nope.

She huffs to herself very discretely, as she would be a little embarassed if the others caught onto such behavior. Well alright, no reading for the group today. That's fine, they can find many many other things to do! But it's with a worried gaze does she watch William, really wishing he wouldn't burn the precious pages. But of course, she would never say anything. And it's about then that everyone starts to speak of 'leaving'. Noooooow her worried gaze gains a little more worry, and she sits up on the chair, her hands folded in her lap.

Her green eyes move from one to the other in the room, her hands now folded in her lap. Her voice comes in a soft tone, as if afraid to be heard by any others. Aside from those within the room, of course. "They get very upset when we start to speak of escaping…" She shakes her head a little, looking down as she continues. "I do not know if it is a good idea." But of course, she would do anything they ask of her. Even if she didn't agree with it. She's kind of the mindset of not wanting to rock the boat. Especially with those she cares most for. Which would be those within this room at present.

Though she does seem to have forgotten about William's little… experiment… or whatever he would call it.

"They never used to like us talking about leaving but where have they been?" Kami asked. "It's been so long since we saw them. No kitchen staff, no guards. They locked us in here and left." Then after a small pause, "William, can you stop burning the pages already?"

Something was different today. He could feel it. Change was coming and he didn't know if it was good or bad. But it was coming like a storm and they could either go with it and be taken somewhere new... Or resist and and break under the pressure.

"This isn't home. This is a prison." His voice was more stern this time. "And I'm growing tired of being trapped in here."

Aria Greenwich

Location - Heroes Lodge

Interactions - Questing Heroes

Aria slowly approached Oakdale Village, among the dirt path the flowers were so unique. She had come a long way from her home. To leave her garden was heartbreaking but with the world in the state it was she wanted to help. She knew deep down this was supposed to happen, and she could always make another garden. The brown canvas bag on her back bounced up and down as she saw the lodge. Startled she quickly hid behind a tree and turned slowly a small portion of her head looking at the lodge.
"Is that a bear?" she muttered to herself.
Confused she decided if it was out in the open and calm to approach, slowly. Feeling down to her thigh she double checked she had her dagger, and then clutched her large staff harder ready to fight. When she made it to the bear, it didn't go after her and Aria continued inside the lodge while looking back at the bear. A creak of the door as she entered to seeing many a companions inside. Hearing the end of Sir Penderlin introducing himself before taking a seat. Deciding it was a good time to introduce herself she took some steps forward.
"Hello I'm Aria Greenwich, I'm here because of the fliers, I would like to help you in your quest" With a smile and curtsy she found a seat.

Well, this was quite the ragtag group she had managed to pull together. Who knew it would take this long to get everyone acquainted though. She felt like they had wasted a good amount of time and that she still didn't know everything she needed to. Oh well, she'd have to work around it none the less. Standing up once more, she watched as Kilik brought drinks around to everyone. On the house, of course.

"Okay, now that we all know a bit about each other. I say we rest tonight and set out in the morning." Little did they know she had every intention of using the free booze to try and weasel out anyone who might be working for the king to thwart her before she revealed her map and which way they were headed. Drunk men told no lies and alcohol, especially strong and free alcohol, was known for loosening tongues quite a bit. In the mornings when she had a bit more faith in everyone, she'd show them her roughly estimated map and maybe tell them a bit about how she got it.

Elemental Tower

Venturing down? "We've tried going down though..." She said, amber eyes flickering between her three tower-mates. "There always seems to be something stopping us from getting lower than the kitchen beneath us..." Her voice trailed off. It seemed like she was going to be on the side of not venturing further into their little prison. And then she opened her mouth to speak.

"However, hasn't anyone questioned how everything is always clean and how we never run out of supplies? Someone is obviously getting in and out of here, so why can't we?"

Staring down at her drink, Reign found herself wondering why Winny would want them riding off in the morning with a hangover. Could it be that she was actually on the king's side and wanted to wipe out any threats in one go? But If that were the case, these drinks would be poisoned and no one here should expect to see the light of next day. While there was always the possibility of it being the other way around, it was still rather questionable. However, the girl did seem to look rather young. Based solely on this, the latter seemed more probable even though the former seemed like a great idea. Just think, who would care if this handful of people died out of nowhere in a rundown inn? Lifting the drink up to her lips, Reign drowned the bothersome thoughts with strong liquor.

Although she didn't get drunk easily, her face became flushed after two mouthfuls, her usually clear eyes glazed over as she thought of fond memories from back home. Seemingly in a daze, she looked over her new comrades, unable to think of a way to actually get along with them without them skinning her alive and taking her tails to sell in some underground market. Suppressing the cringe that was building, she forced herself to think of something else as others got their own drinks. Recalling an old friend with basically no alcohol tolerance, a mischievous gleam flitted past her eyes, leaving as fast as it came.

As if possessed by a rascal, Reign smoothly scooted her seat closer to the closest person to her and casually threw an arm loosely around their shoulders, pulling them in close as if she had a big secret to tell them. Mn, the best way to hide is always out in the open. No need to act drunk when I'm naturally adorable. Surely, they wouldn't hold anything against a little drunk girlie? Ever sure of herself, Reign patted her victim's shoulder and gently prodded at their cheek with her index finger. "Saaay… How did you get your hands on a bear?" Dying of curiosity, Reign couldn't help but choose Yllhana. Not only was she closest to her, she was truly curious about the girl's partner. Not to mention the assumption that the little bear tamer would be one of the least likely to retaliate with violence or get the wrong idea. Overall, anyone who could get along with an animal, especially one that could easily kill you, couldn't be a horrible person.

...Or so she hoped. Giving her a little nuzzle to show she meant no harm, Reign sneakily took a sip of the girl's drink, not wanting the small chance of Yllhana getting poisoned to come to fruition. Luckily the liquor wasn't, otherwise, she'd probably be a very dead fox demon.

Interactions: @Iceydaze Reign

Yllhana looked and watched as people introduced each of themselves. Thinking about whether or not her's was sub par compared to everyone else. It was then that one of the other women in the room slung her arm around Yllhana and started asking her about her bear companion, and nuzzled her? She was taken a back at first by the question but could understand why she would be curious of her big fluffy friend. "Well I found him when he was a cub with no home or family" she says truthfully. "So I'm all he's got" she finished remembering how he was all alone in the rain wandering the woods without direction. Back then after she followed him in circles she walked up to him and picked him up. However now if she tried she'd probably throw out her back.

Desmond listens to the remaining introductions as he takes his seat. And then Winny was having drinks passed out. Not the brightest idea seeing as the others started to drink a hangover is the last thing they need as they set out. But Desmond would deny the drink even without that thought in mind he was not a drinker at all. He sees two of his new companions interacting after one took a drink but Desmond directs his attention back to Winny.
"I'm sorry miss Winny but I'm not a drinker so I'm going to have to deny that I thank you for the thought and hope you don't take it offensively that I'm denying it." Desmond said to Winny from his spot.
