Lae looked up into his eyes fearfully, remembering that it was he who killed Daechir and Dimaethor like it was nothing. However, to her surprise, he only warned her about being careful. Stiffening as he patted her shoulder, she watched as he left for a moment before coming to her senses and walking the opposite direction, hoping that there was somewhere that wasn't completely destroyed. She had a long day, and wanted nothing more than to go to sleep. She could only hope that she would do that then wake up in the morning and everything would be the same as it was in the morning, when everything was fine. Finding a guest room in the northwest tower of the castle whose bed still was intact. Lying down on it, she looks up at the stone ceiling, trying to keep from crying. Too much had happened that day, and she couldn't stand the thought that everything had changed in one day. Pulling the bedclothes around her, she tried to fall asleep, which proved more difficult in practice.

Once she had calmed Baldir and Gurdir down, and they had fallen asleep once more, Faerveren had was able to rest as well, not really falling asleep, too scared about what might happen if she did, but letting her eyes fall shut. Stirring slightly as she hears a chuckle, she instinctively holds her boys tighter, subconsciously recognizing the person the laugh belonged to.
