Austin slipped into the seat across from Lee, leaning back against the cushions as he listened. He was going to agree to the first, because of course he was going to see this through, no matter what his feelings happened to be. He started something, and he was going to finish it, even if it meant stepping over a few legal lines. Then, the second idea came around. He didn't answer right away, taking a sip of his water and thinking it over a moment or two.
"I still have connection to the case, which is the main issue." He said finally, fidgeting with the extra coasters on the table "Like, my dad was still a victim, and I think that's their main beef with me being on the case. When it was a cold case, no big deal, but it's active now, so I think they think I'm about to go absolutely feral and try to kill the guy before attempting to even just bring him in."
