"Brent was unaware of this...but I only had a couple of years left at the most. I didn't want to worry him. Donna and I agreed to going about our lives normally and to appreciate the time we had left." He looked to Kaleb. They were so similar in that retrospect. " He gave him a sincere smile. It was as if he knew about him and Brent. "That man gave me a second chance and I owe you for it. I'll do anything I can to keep your family and mine safe."
Donna and Brent were washing dishes together in the kitchen, Donna kept glancing over at her son and Brent was starting to get uneasy about it. "What mom?" he asked finally. "Nothing." She replied with a nervous voice. This made the blond sigh, "You're lying. I know you're upset about something. You keep staring." Donna blushed and shifted about in silence for a moment before sighing, "We heard you....there. I said it." It took him a moment to understand her implication. His face lit up and he looked down at the sink. He knew it had to be him. He was too loud. "Uhm...uh...sorry." Donna blushed too, then started snickering a bit, "Do you want to tal-" Brent interjected with a firm "NO." Donna laughed more, "Thank God. Keep it downstairs next time." He didn't respond. Instead he walked out of the kitchen and went past everyone, "Restroom..." he said nervously, and kept going. Donna followed as far as the dining room smiling, trying to keep her laughter in. They were a family of taking jabs and laughing at one another.
