5 years have passed since the fall of Chicago. 5 years have passed since SPECTRE's armies ransacked the Eastern Quadrant of the Multiverse leaving billions dead and trillions wounded. The Underground organisation has surfaced and all its pieces are on the board-- it's only a matter of time before the checkmate

The Crew of the Second Serenity has long since disassembled; their individual needs to survive tore the group apart...those who stayed alive, at least. Sarah Connor's band of "Terrorist Misfits" were mourned by none, left as yet another band of radicals resisting the forces of change. Within a year they are all but forgotten

Well...almost forgotten...

The Hand of JANUS- the amalgamation of the remaining free armies of the Eastern Multiverse- stands firm in a world gone mad. They are the last free men and women in the Sector.They are the only beings who are truly free from its influence. They are the only ones who can fight SPECTRE on its own terms

JANUS has become a symbol of hope throughout the universe- a symbol of rebellion, freedom and anarchy. They have become SPECTRE's bogeyman- the last lullaby in a word of filled nightmares. It's no wonder the Multiversal order will do anything to stamp them out


Armies of the Hand are under siege at the space station known as Maiden's Prayer- a former SPECTRE propaganda station turned fortress- and are prepared to make their final stand. It's do or die. As a new recruit, it's up to you to defend your brothers and sisters in arms and fight another day...in the hope that there will come a day when SPECTRE's Reign comes to an end...

The Brief
Welcome to S.P.E.C.T.R.E Rising, the latest game in the Singularity Universe! Although this game is technically a sequel to Serenity Down (2016), no prior knowledge about any of the franchises mentioned, the Singularity Universe as a whole or the previous game is required to fully enjoy the SPECTRE Rising. As with all games, there are some rules:

Rules
  1. No Godmodding or Mary Sues- Stick within the logical limitations of your character​
  2. Do not be a jerk -Surprise Surprise​
  3. Posting Speed is not the most important thing in the world- I will probably be dropping GM posts every second day to give enough time for decent player interactions​
  4. You can't play as any characters who have previously been used in Serenity Down, due to the fact that many of these peeps will appear as NPCS later on. A link to the cast list of the previous game will be provided soon​
  5. This is a Multiverse Crossover game, so using characters from varying Cannons are both allowed and encouraged. If you like, you can create an NPC, but remember to keep your character's powers logical and non game-breaking; nobody likes an insanely OP OC​
  6. There will be restrictions on animal character; for the game to work, your PC will need poseable thumbs and a voice​

Extreme Agility: Vash is agile and fast to the extreme of being able to routinely dodge bullets.


Marksman: Vash is an expert marksman, to the point of ludicrous feats like throwing rocks to knock bullets off course. Needless to say, he can shoot to perfection in all but the most extreme circumstances.

Non-Human Enhancements: Vash isn't human, instead an entity called a Plant. He possess greater strength, speed, eyesight and reflexes than a normal human, as well as complete control of his muscles.

Angel Arm: BFG - TV Tropes - A weapon that Vash can form with his single remaining arm and the catalyst within his revolver, the gun will not be used in the RP unless needed by the GM as part of the plot due to the fact that as a weapon, it is powerful enough to eat a chunk out of a large section of moon.

Red Trenchcoat: Like all great Singularity heroes, Vash possesses a tattered red trenchcoat that is so badass it makes all the fanboys weep in envy.

Vash is an extreme pacifist. He will not kill, ever. He has one kill to his name, and over the course of this RP it will likely not become two. Additionally, he's not a passive pacifist, he will actively stop other people from killing as well within his power, and expect him to become very upset if you kill someone in his presence.

Molecular Manipulation-
A powerful technique, which allows the user to manipulate electricity on various scales, even to the molecular level. The technique can work with all possible ranges. As long as an object is a conductor of electricity, the technique can be passed through it, making indirect attacks possible
Peak Human Condition-
Hei's contract powers are especially useful because of his amazing agility, speed, endurance, dexterity, and natural strength.
Expert Hand to Hand Combat-
Hei is obviously extremely skilled in martial arts and is an accomplished acrobat easily able to do backflips and mid-air cartwheels with little effort in terms of physical strain. Hei's natural abilities are so impressive that even without his contractor powers Hei is easily able to take on other contractors. A combination of these physical attributes coupled with what appears to be the most powerful contractor power as well as a lack of obeisance arguably makes Hei the strongest character in the series.
Tactician-
Not unlike many Contractors, Hei possesses a very pragmatic and resourceful intellect; demonstrating a knack for improvisation during the heat of combat. Since Hei's contractor ability can only kill once in direct contact with the intended target, Hei often relies on taking his opponents by surprise in order to gain the advantage (as evidenced by his gambit during his first fight with Wei). His tactical unpredictability and resourcefulness coupled with his almost bullet-time speed makes him a daring foe.
Particle Luminance-
meaning he is able to change molecules similar to how humans are changed into contractors. This ability is also one of the most, if not the most, powerful and coveted powers known as it is the only one capable of altering gate particles at will. This ability is not actually his as he is really only human, but it was granted to him when his sister fused with him. While in possession of the Meteor Fragment, Hei's powers were amplified to the extent that he was able to destroy a large portion of South America almost effortlessly.

Mask-
Hei wears a white mask with a purple lightning symbol over the right eye. It also has a thin red slit across the mouth.
Knife x2-
His trademark weapon is a knife on a metal wire, which he uses as an offensive weapon, a grappling hook, or as a conduit through which to discharge his electricity.
Wire-
In addition to using it with his knife, Hei also uses his wire with a carabiner attached to the end, which allows the wire to anchor to any object that it wraps around. This is also used to wrap around enemies necks and allows Hei to deliver lethal shocks.
Black Trench Coat-
Hei's long black trench coat is bullet proof (often used as a shield), and works only with his powers.
Crossbow-
To aid in infiltrating a building, Hei has made use of a collapsible crossbow to fire a rope large distances. He keeps the crossbow in a satchel.
Lie Detector Sticker-
Hei wears a transparent sticker on the back of his neck to pass a lie detector test and conceal his identity as a Contractor while inside PANDORA

Hei is a Chinese born human turned contractor.

Hei worked alongside his sister who was a contractor in his early teens at this point being extremely skilled with his style of combat.

After Hei's sister goes missing he mysteriously gained her contractor power minus the Obeisance, since then he took up work for a mysterious group called the Syndicate. (Not going to say more as spoilers for the show)

- Despite his slim frame, Jacket is still strong enough to stomp someone's skull in, or effectively use a bat to kill people in one go.

A heavily customized Mac 10, named: "Jacket's piece." The weapon sports a suppressor, grip, custom stock and extended magazine.
A sawn off shotgun.
M1911 Handgun.
A collection of melee weapons. Such as a: Hammer, Knife, Baseball Bat, Nightstick and Brass Knuckles.
A tape recorder that allows for communication.
A laptop with programs that allow Jacket to insert new phrases into his tape recorder.
A set of dog tags.
An large, old military duffle bag to hold said items.
Short Bio: Jacket's past is a hazy one, but he has served in the military, up until a mission in Hawaii went downhill, and Jacket was sent into a coma. Awakening from it, Jacket began to see things, hear things. Such as people wearing animal masks, and phone calls telling him to go to addresses to 'deliver' something. Typically in the form of intense violence and bloodshed.


Eventually however, he was caught by the police after a rampage on Miami's criminal underground. But, was broken out of prison by a man known as Hoxton, who in turn was busted out by his former heist crew he rolled with.

Jacket was offered a place on the team due to his....."Methods."
[Tried to keep spoilers to a minimum. And mix in the Payday stuff.]
Other Info:
- Jacket is an intense smoker, only recently going to the patch at the request of his heist teammates. He still smokes, just not as much.
- Despite having several masks, he sticks to wearing a chicken mask named "Richard."
- Jacket listens to 80s music, either on a laptop or on a old record player.

Powers/Abilities:
Alongside Jaron Namir, Adam Jensen is likely the most augmented character in the game. All of his augmentations are produced by Sarif Industries, and were given to him as a result of the incident with the Tyrants. While Namir seems to have his head and spine implemented into a robotic body, Jensen's augmentations appear to be grafted into his organic frame and skin.

All of Adam Jensen's limbs have been completely replaced: his arms include a nanoceramic blade that can be released at either the wrist or elbow for close quarters combat, a function that enables him to punch through walls by opening a section of his forearm, and the ability to dislocate his fingers (which he uses when grabbing a guard's helmet and spinning him in midair, causing massive spinal trauma). Other augmentations include firing stability, lifting heavy weights, and accuracy while running.
Jensen's legs are not visible, as he wears pants and combat boots/shoes (though they could be augmented feet) to cover them; however, they have various abilities, with no working parts shown to move. It is revealed in the comic that his legs are mechanical from just above the knee down.
His torso appears to be biological, but is covered in dermal armor, along with bolt ports from the bar placed within his chest to support said augments. Underneath he has a variety of cardiovascular and muscular augmentations, such as an internal rebreather, a health system, an internal battery, and the Typhoon Explosive System.
Jensen has two augmentations attached to his spinal column: a reflex booster and the Icarus Landing System (although the effects of the landing system appear to originate from anywhere in his body).
Jensen uses the Glass-Shield cloaking system, which classes as a skin augmentation. The origin of the mechanism is still indeterminate.
Jensen's head has a plethora of augmentations, most noticeably his variety of hacking tools and C.A.S.I.E. Module (allowing him to see personality information of those he converses with), which appears to be connected to a hexagonal shape on the left side of his forehead. He also has an info-link and cochlear implant within his ear cavity. Jensen's eyes contain a retinal prosthesis, displaying various information about the environment. Additionally, he has an implant that allows him to cover his eyes in eye-shield lenses stored within the implant.


Skills:
- Skilled in hand to hand combat, from both during his time in S.W.A.T and after taking lessons in martial arts.
- Even before being 'augmented' Adam is a skilled marksman
- He is also a skilled diplomat.
Equipment: A heavily customized Zenith pistol. Said customizations include: Armor piercing rounds, a suppressor, extended clip, increased fire rate and laser sight.
A single shot Taser, but is powerful enough to knock someone unconscious.
Short Bio: Adam was a child experimented on as part of a secret project. But, was saved from said project by two scientists there. Years and years down the road, he joins Sarif Industries as head of security, later becoming augmented after an attack on the building. [Trying to avoid spoiling too much.]

Powers/Abilities:
Hacking - Give Wrench enough time and equipment, and he'll find a backdoor into whatever security program is set in place.
Skills:
- Wrench is an expert hacker.
- He is also skilled in explosives, destroying things, basically if it involves destroying something, he's your guy.
- Wrench is also a wonderful engineer. Able to build whatever is needed.
Equipment:
A mask that can somewhat modify his voice, and do cool eyes.
A laptop with certain hacking stuff on it.
A phone that is modified to hack things that it has access to.
Short Bio: Not much is known about Wrench in general, save for that something so bad happened in the past, that he wears his trademark mask constantly as a way to avoid looking at himself.
Other Info:
He has a lot of joke references on standby.
He is prone to anger.
He sometimes talks to technology.

Road Kamelot

Road has two physical forms. One is a human form and the other, her Noah state. Though the two share the same physical shape and body the human form hosts a much lighter skin tone, violet eyes and a set cross symbols that lay horizontal across her forehead are absent. Her choice of clothing changes seemingly on a whim; ranging from form fitting dresses and corsets to blazers and skirts.

It is also notable that in her human form her hair takes on a darker, violet shade whilst in her Noah form it is a lighter, bubble gum color. Due to the youth age she chooses to portray herself as she is quite... vertically challenged - standing tall at about 4'10''

Canon: D. Gray Man

As a member of the family of Noah, Road has complete control over a demonic entity known simply as 'Akuma' which are the tortured souls of those who have died - she never has any trouble finding any of those now-a-days. Also because of this, when in her Noah form, she boasts near-super human physical abilities. Lifting a car, or leaping off a small building is nothing for the petite girl to accomplish. She also hosts a small healing factor. It is this healing factor is the main reason she rarely shows these physical abilities; the more physical exersion, the less effective her healing factor. When not using her physical prowess, she can take gunshots or impalement, or even the loss of a limb and grow it back or live (that said, don't expect her to be shot in the head and keep fighting. She would pass out immediately)

More unique to her, she possess a power known simply as 'Dream'. This ability allows her to absorb herself and anything in the direct area (about five feet around her) into a pocket dimension accessible only to Road. Inside this 'Dream' Road has nearly omnipotent control over space. Allowing her form to appear anywhere at any given time as well as create objects from nothing; most common she uses levitating candle spears and pumpkin torches - weapons of that variety inside Dream.

The ability to create these weapons *does* exist outside of the Dream, but to a much more limited extent. Inside she can make as many as she chooses, whereas outside, she can make one to three at a time.

Her next notable power is known as Door. This allows herself to travel through space and time outside of her Dream, and even into other dimensions. Of course, she cannot planet, galaxy or even continent hop on a whim. A door to somewhere in eyeshot can happen with a snap of ones fingers, longer distances take longer and holding the Door open for others to use is straining on her.

Road also uses a weapon. This weapon is known as 'Lero', it is an umbrella that can double as a witch's broom and a fencing sword. The hilt is sentient and often argues with Road, as she actually stole him from her own relative, the Millennium Earl.

Road is a descendant of Noah, but outside of that, not much is known about her history. What is known is that her name was given to her because, at least for her family, she is the 'Road' between dimensions. No other of her family is capable of traversing time and space as she does. Because of this, she stumbled upon the multiverse. Other realities and universes that all ran parallel to one another. Some were similar with slight differences, and other were vastly different. In one, she'd observed, he family had been in a long Holy war against emissaries of God known as Exorcists. Another Road lived there, but she was not that one. After making this quint discovery, she decided to abandon her family to explore a world more vast then they could ever imagine. They merely wanted her powers to navigate a device known as the ARK, but she could see her powers could be used for so, so much more.

If you known anything about Road, or D. Gray Man, you'll notice I've made slight changes to her history and abilities. That is because this isn't TECHNICALLY that Road, but another Road from an alternate reality, since this revolves around multiverse theory. If you see anything that seems over powered let me know, though, to be honest, Road isn't honestly a fighter.

Abilities:

Fandral is likely the best swordsman in Asgard. A true swashbuckler and master of more than just the sword, his fighting style is based on speed, dexterity & agility. He is also an expert bowman, in some universes he is the basis of the Robin Hood legend. He can fly the Asgardian flying ships, showing himself to be a competent pilot. He has a well earned reputation for his looks and charm. Like all the Asgardians, he can via the Allspeak, converse in all of Earth's dialects, any of the languages of the 9 realms and several Alien languages.

Equipment: He carries a master crafted sword of Asgardian make, similar to a Rapier. He wears Asgardian armor with green clothing and gold trim. If he has had time to prepare, he might have an Asgardian ranged weapon or longbow with arrows, money and supplies.

the Templar Assassin

Lanaya, the Templar Assassin, came to her calling by a simple case of curious inquiry. Possessed with scientific bent, she spent most of her early years engaged in meticulous study of nature's laws--peering into grimoires of magic and alchemy, recreating experiments from charred fragments of centuries-old archives, and memorizing observations of archaic recordkeepers by heart. Quiet and secretive in nature, the process of acquiring these artifacts had further reinforced her skills in stealth.

Her investigations led her to far more obscure corners, as she uncovered a small rip in the fabric of time and space of her own universe itself: a gateway to the most Hidden Temple. A vast network of sentient intelligences that resided deep within the void seperating each universe, their unending mysteries proved to be eclipsed by the answers they held out to Lanaya, should she continue in their service. In service to the Hidden Temple, she satisfies her endless craving for understanding. As each foe expunged, a bit more of the mystery is revealed.


Powers / Abilities:


Even as an experienced thief, it took significant skill and prowess for Lanaya to sneak inside the Midas Vaults, not in search for gold and riches, but of archaic grimoires and books, containing truths and records that deepened her understanding of any subject she could grasp within said confines. The scholar-thief had succeeded, of course, but not without eluding the watchful, golden constructs of the Vault. Her skill in stealth has only improved since then, moreso in her induction as the Hidden One's Templar, as They had demanded her to not only steal as she once did, but also kill, in order to further her development. Relentlessly eager in her pursuit for secrets, it took all of Lanaya's time, patience, and resources to evolve from knife-wielding joke of a fighter, into a disciplined and coordinated assassin, fit to serve the Hidden Temple.


Her blades may be sharp, but it pales in comparison with her mind, however. It is said that the Templar Assassin has stored a hundred-- if not, a thousand-- years' worth of teachings in merely two decades of research. It is unknown whether this is true or not, but she is a force to be reckoned with, both physically and mentally.

Using the blessings of the Hidden Ones themselves, the Templar Assassin is able to use various forms of psychic ability and powers, using her mind to induce various kinds of paranormal phenomena, such as:

Telepathy
The most common, non-combative use of her 'gifts'. She is able to sense and interpret the emotions, moods, and temperament of others nearby without reading any apparent symptoms
-communicate with others by forming a two-way 'mindlink'
-influence the thoughts of others in subtle ways (i.e nudge them towards a particular choice or decision by 'whispers')
-and manipulate solid matter without physically touching them via telekinesis.
"Ah, what secrets shall be exposed?"

Psycho-Ergokinesis
Lanaya is able to create, shape, and manipulate psychic energies in various ways: telekinetic 'handblades' (see pic), a protective bubble to not only fend off physical attacks, but also to prevent other telekinetics from interfering with others inside the bubble, and create psychic constructs of herself to aid in battle.

"For heresies unknown, the Temple decreed your death."


Lanaya's powers come directly from the Hidden Temple itself, and should she break her vow her powers would vanish.

Short Bio: Kirsten Clark grew up with her father's friend raising her and have temporal dysplasia which prevents from knowing that time has passed or read human emotions. She lived most of her life and as such was the perfect candidate for stitching. After doing it for a year, Cameron went missing and about three years later, she noticed it. At that point, she went looking for him and was possessed by Charlotte who was looking for her son.
Other Info: She kissed and has a crush on Cameron. She has temporal dysplasia. She is one of the only people in her world who can stitch in dead people's memories.

Powers/Abilities: Telekinesis: Like his sister, he can move objects or people with his mind. His powers are as strong as his sister and he can manipulate at least three things at once.
Telekinetic Blast: Like his sister, he can create blasts of telekinetic energy. This is strong enough to destroy things.
Ergokinesis: In Thundermans: Secret Revealed, Max and Phoebe were capable of moving, binding and manipulating Dark Mayhem's Energy Projectiles.
Freeze Breath: Able to breath pure cold, which he can use to freeze people in ice. His ice breath apparently has no long terms effects on people frozen by it. He can also use this to make snow. It's also revealed to work on ghosts. (Haunted Thundermans)
Stone Transformation: In Haunted Thundermans, Phoebe and Max turned the Green Ghoul into stone.
Heat Breath: He can breath a blast of heat, which he can use to unfreeze people he or his sister has frozen. He can increase the temperature of his heat breath to also melt things.
Fire Ball Projection: In Haunted Thundermans, Phoebe was capable of creating Ice Sphere Projectiles when under the possession of the Green Ghoul.
Thundersense: Like his sister, Max gains the ability to sense danger before it occurs. However it is not always specific enough to tell what the danger is. He gained this ability after his twin sister did (Thundersense).
Super Intelligence: Like his sister, Max has super intelligence. He is very good in science and has invented a lot of gadgets, machines and has proven himself to be super smart despite the fact that he barely takes classes seriously.
Numerical Precision: In Cheer and Present Danger, Max was able to count pepperoni in a jar and the amount of cats in the backyard. He says "It's a gift" implying that it's a superpower.

True Sight: As a superhero he has the power to see and hear ghosts. (Haunted Thundermans)Abilities
Hand-to-Hand Combat: As shown in Haunted Thundermans, he is quite skilled at hand-to-hand combat when battling ghoul when he was in Phoebe's body and was able to do a backflip and frontflip.
Master Engineer: Max has shown to be able to invent and engineer electronic devices and gadgets. He used this ability to create the Max 5000, a Brain Wiper, and more.
Equipment: Brain Wiper- Erases memories, super hero outfit.
Short Bio: Max Thunderman was a hero in Hiddenville and that is it. He was a supervillain who reformed.
