Sorry to butt in here, but this is annoying me. We get it. Fleshed out backgrounds and politics and intrigue and third parties interfering and rich people profiting off the whole shebang are great. But perhaps that's not how this is supposed to go. We're not focusing on those aspect here, from what I've seen. We're focusing on the Kyral fighting for their freedom against the Izani. This is a revolution within an isolated country, not a full-scale war in which other countries have access to or even the will to bother with Izan to interfere with it's matters. At any point.
Quite frankly, I think that if you don't like it you should just leave instead of being an ass about the subtle details going on behind the big red curtain in the background of the play. Overcast created the world this will take place in, and therefore what he says goes (unless what he says goes against Iwaku rules).
If it would so please you to have an explanation, my reasoning is that the place is so cold and everyone is so worried about staying warm to survive that nobody even bothers with Izan politically, aside from the ruling regime, the purpose of which is to prevent anarchy and ensure the survival of everyone in the kingdom. Aside from this, the mountains surrounding the frozen Izan would prevent the other countries from caring to bother with the place, as they have no need for Kyr (being not frozen), nor the need to waste resources and men trying to overtake the country which serves no purpose other than to mine a material they don't even need. This works both ways, with the Izani not wanting to bother crossing the mountains constantly to import resources other than Kyr. The Kyral could just wait it out, yeah, but eventually the Izani could develop a way to invade the tunnels and destroy them, that or overpopulation of the Kyral forces them out of the tunnels anyway. Likewise, the Izani can't starve out the Kyral, as the miners could become cannibalistic and adapt to eating the weak, wich would quickly produce stronger and stronger Kyral that could easily overpower the Izani. Meanwhile, the Izani would freeze to death for lack of a source of Kyr as the miners stop shipping it up.
Any points I missed you'd like me to offer my input on?
Also, @
OverCast I hope you don't mind my input on this.
