Basically, one person puts up the poem/lyrics/etc., the other rates it out of a 100, then that person puts up his, another person rates and puts another up and the cycle repeats.

Let's start, shall we?

Stillbirth Machine by Order From Chaos off Stillbirth Machine (1993)

I am an alien from another world
Sent to communicate a message
Of wisdom I speak but no one hears me
Deaf ears, dull eyes leave me behind

Encased inside blooded flesh
I communicate my message of truth
But you are senseless
To what should never have been forgotten
The walls are built higher and stronger
Word by word, the walls of ignorance
And the worm procreates in my belly

Begat of spite and hate
I must pay the wage of sin
Delusions of grandeur
Until my birth starts again

Contractions warm this beating heart
Umbilically chained to the machine
Re-emergence of a second coming
Deliverance into the barren world
Infanticidal process of regurgitation
And the chrisom's tears cannot dry

Realization hits like a hammer
As societal stillbirth machine rolls on
Rusty gears feeding itself confusion
I choke and gasp on this poisoned world
And see myself and other human wreckage
If I had just one wish it would be
To crawl back into the womb

Hope is the lie that gropes towards doom
Blind leading blind
What we were, we are, and forever will be
Thy will be done

Ignorant worms
White blind and deaf
And forever doomed
Groping futility in the sunlight
And machinations of the truth

Breaths of pollutants spout from the lips
Protective measures gas mask welds with flesh
Adaptation mutation self preservation

The curse of wisdom
I see with my eyes plucked out
I hear with my ears crushed
Plead for freedom
Taste the salt (tears for humanity)
Tears plow furrows down my cheeks
What have I done
Now I know that ignorance is bliss

When I did crawl from the blighted womb
Childlike spawn of diseased ovum
Warmth of pain is gone
My message is clear
We are like them - you and I are one
Stunted embryonic forms
No wisdom unintelligible products of the
Stillbirth machine

Why did I ever think I was not
We are like them
And I grope blindly in the light
You and I are one
Truth sears flesh withers (can't read this bit)
I was wrong
I am nothingness I am dust
Begone

Small Town Witch by Sneaker Pimps

"See black, see bloom-
Died on an impulse over you.
Caught like a corpse crawling 'round the dream and loving you...
And she hangs on youth,
Crushing in her feet to fit the shoes.
Stepping it out with her size 12 mouth and cursing you!

Small town witch come to mess me up
Small town witch come to mess me up
Small town witch come to mess me up again...

And she whored and she graced
Bitching at the bottle,
Saving face.
Blowing it out as the jury's doubt is laid to waste...
See black, see bloom!
Choked up on a heartburn,
Bleeding through...
How does it feel when the ones who feed are biting you?

Small town witch come to mess me up
Small town witch come to mess me up
Small town witch come to mess me up again."

Circle of the Tyrants by Celtic Frost off To Mega Therion (1985).

After the battle is over
And the sands drunken the blood
All what there remains
Is the bitterness of delusion

The immortality of the gods
Sits at their side
As they leave the walls behind
To reach the jewels gleam

The days have come
When the steel will rule
And upon his head
A crown of gold

Your hand wields the might
The tyrant's the precursor
You carry the will
As the morning is near

I sing the ballads
Of victory and defeat
I hear the tales
Of frozen mystery

The new kingdoms rise
By the circle of the tyrants
In the land of darkness
The warrior, that was me
Grotesque glory
None will (ever) see them fall
And hunts and war
Are like everlasting shadows

Where the winds cannot reach
The tyrant's might was born
And often I look back
With tears in my eyes
Grotesque glory
None will (ever) see them fall
And hunts and wars
Are like everlasting shadows

CRYSTALLION - Vanishing Glory.
=====================

Christian greed brings them death
My caravan's lost, I see
A rush of blood to my head - it's deafening me
Can't let them go, it's my duty, they died for me
It's Raynald's will, I don't know is this meant to be
There is no way out for me - it's killing me
My army shall rise, Christian downfall we'll see

They have reigned the Holy Land
Jerusalem in Christian hand
Shameful fields of Montgisard
Will the Sultan rise again
There's no doubt we will regain
Our old glory, we shall rise

After all - hear me scream, hear me scream
Battles taking their toll, open the gates

[Sultan Saladin's forces]
Now the war is at hand, we will regain our land
Our people and our Muslim faith we'll defend - To battle we ride
It's their final crusade
Our feud will be brought to an end here and now

[Sultan Saladin]
20000 Eastern men
Will bring back Jerusalem
No Knights Templar will remain
Under Saladin the Great
Muslim states retaliate
Guy of Lusignan will fall

One more time - hear me scream, hear me scream
Battles taking their toll, open the gates

[Sultan Saladin's forces]
Now the war is at hand, we will regain our land
Our people and our Muslim faith we'll defend - To battle we ride
It's their final crusade
Our feud will be brought to an end here and now

It's our destiny to fight
Christian hordes won't see the night
In the end, will we be right?
It's not us who want this war
One more battle, then no more
We will rule just like before

After all - hear me scream, hear me scream
Battles taking their toll, open the gates

[Sultan Saladin's forces]
Now the war is at hand, we will regain our land
Our people and our Muslim faith we'll defend - To battle we ride
It's their final crusade
Our feud will be brought to an end here and now

Unquestionable Presence by Atheist:

The fog rolls in thin here tonight
And all that is warm
Grows ice cold
All that are strong
Fill with fright
My ship has returned here tonight

Get away
Don''t you touch my precious ship
Be thankful that you witnessed it at all

[Chorus]

''Cause you can never understand
My life in space
Our visits here
Have gone untraced for years
So easy to create
A shell like you
I must leave now and return

Our presence is unquestionable
We cannot be seen for this long
Now look at what you''ve done
Created such a stir
If only you had kept to yourself
You might have known for sure
Proof of life in outer space

Our mission is completed
Our voyage is ahead
Our data is collected
To manking it''s fed
And deeper and deeper we fall

[Chorus]

82/100 I think it would be more evocative with the music behind it but it stands well on it's own.

Empathy With The Devil, by Tear Garden

My flavor is the stuff of locusts
Hot chilli fire brand spitting volcano teeth
Bleeding skies, sulfer mines
The foul breath of Satan's favorite gutter worm
You feel me when I'm close
An ice wind of steel
Stillettos hammered into your spine
Quicksiler nausea spinning
Spewing forth and everything's a mess
Every posession you've ever had wrecked
Laying at your feet
Telegrams that tell you God is dead
Piled high on the TV
The incessant TV...
A cheesecake nun advertising 20 brands of sea cow lemon shit in 60 different languages
A gargoyle hand jives for the hard of hearing
Subliminals
Criminals
Phony businessmen in thick rimmed glasses
Bad comedians
Laughing bags apeing the hallelujah chorus
The forgotten version
Out of key
Slightly
Just enough to annoy you

My flavor is cheap perfume on a rotting man-ray
Maggots
Dead maggots

My flavor is a wound reopening by surprise
Green fishes eyes flowing out
Wriggling things
Gelatinous
Still alive and screaming
Out of key
Slightly
Just enough to annoy you

My flavor is a plunging elevator
A millisecond before it hits the cellar
A cellar with mutated rats
Old- very old- lost teeth
Abortions
Garbage
So pungent it hums
Out of key
Slightly
Just enough to annoy you

My flavor is your flavor
Deep within you
Hidden

Waiting to get out....

"The Sword's Lament" by Cauldron Born:

Mine is the card of suffering
Mine is the card of misery
All of this was foretold
Before these depictions ever hung in Thoth's gallery
I have many names for many heroes
As I see pass another century, this means nothing to me

I Caladcholy, Excalibur, Socht's sword Glorm Glas,
Beater and Biter
I Mournblade, Stormbringer, Cruadin
I am the sword with which Siegfried slew the dragon

Those strong enough to brandish me will only know in their lives misery
I drink deep of souls while all those around them die,
This foretold before man could shape steel into a
triumph of will
Or the pyramids caressed the sky

I Caladcholy, Excalibur, Socht's sword,
Glorm Glas,
Beater and Biter
I Mournblade, Stormbringer, Cruadin
I am the sword with which Siegfried slew the dragon

I may lie Aeons in the bottom of a lake or dwell in a
netherworld cave in Ameeron

I Caladcholy, Excalibur, I will drink your soul from the depleted chalice that is nothing more than the shell of a man where once stood a mythical champion

"The Sentinel" By Judas Priest

Along deserted avenues
Steam begins to rise
The figures primed and ready
Prepared for quick surprise
He's watchin' for a sign
His life is on the line

Sworn to avenge
Condemn to hell
Tempt not the blade
All fear the Sentinel

Dogs whine in the alleys
Smoke is on the wind
From deep inside its empty shell
A cathedral bell begins
Sending out its toll
A storm begins to grow

Sworn to avenge
Condemn to hell
Tempt not the blade
All fear the Sentinel

Amidst the upturned burned-out cars
The challengers await
And in their fists clutch iron bars
With which to seal his fate
Across his chest is scabbards rest
The rows of throwing knives
Whose razor points in challenged tests
Have finished many lives

Now facing one another
The stand-off eats at time
Then all at once a silence falls
As the bell ceases its chime
Upon this sign the challengers
With shrieks and cries rush forth
The knives fly out like bullets
Upon their deadly course
Screams of pain and agony
Rent the silent air
Amidst the dying bodies
Blood runs everywhere
The figure stands expressionless
Impassive and alone
Unmoved by this victory
And the seeds of death he's sown

Sworn to avenge
Condemn to hell
Tempt not the blade
All fear the Sentinel

"Iter Impius" by Pain of Salvation:

Mr. Money:
I woke up today
Expecting to find all that I sought
And climb the mountains of the life I bought
Finally I'm at the top of every hierarchy
Unfortunately there is no one left
But me

I woke up today
To a world that's ground to dust, dirt and stone
I'm the king upon this withering throne
I ruled every forest, every mountain, every sea
Now there're but ruins left to rule for me
And... you see, it beckons me;
Life turned its back on us
How could you just agree?
...how? I just don't see...

I woke up today
To a world devoid of forests and trees
Drained of every ocean, every sea
Just like a useless brick upon the shore
The morning after the storm
That swept the bridge away
Relentless tide
No anger
Just this relentless time
That calls us all on
But...

I'm never crossing that line
Leaving this world behind
I will stay on my own
On this bloodstained throne
I rule the ruins and wrecks
And the dust, dirt and stone
I rule rage rod and rattling of bones

I am on my own
I am all alone
Everything is gone
Stuck forever here
Already cold

I'm never crossing that line
Leaving this world behind
I will stay on my own
On this bloodstained throne...

I'm never crossing that line
Leaving this world behind
I will stay on my own
On this bloodstained throne
I rule the ruins and wrecks
And the dirt and the dust and the stone
I'm the ruler of rage rod and rust
And the rattling of bones
Ruler of ruin
I rule the ruins (ad lib)

The Happy Song - Voltaire
~

Spoken: A Buddhist on the subway tells me that
What you want is rarely, if ever, what you need.
And of course, I argue the point like a completely self-righteous idiot.

Sung: I was looking for perfection
And it found me, right between the eyes
All this time we spent in bliss,
You know, like all things, it has to fade away
The devil says beware
Cus when you ask, you might get what you want
The devil, he may care
When you ask, you might get what you want

Spoken: So now I spend most of my time waiting for things to happen,
Letting the wind take me where it will.

Sung: Only when it's done do you lose the veil
You get so blind you never see the light coming down the tracks
It keeps me hanging from a thread
Devil drives the train,
Devil pass me by

This is the happy song I wrote for you
You know, this is the happy song I never wrote for you

And after all this time,
And after all the lies
Never dreamed you would seem to me little more than an earthly waste of time
After all these precious opportunities that I had to set things right
Dissolve like regret in heaven, they do
And she said

Anata no namae o yuki ni kaku
Keredomo nani mo iwanai.
[Japanese translation: You write your name in the snow
Yet say nothing.]

This is the happy song I wrote for you
This is the happy song I never wrote for you

After all this time, and after all the lies
Never dreamed you would seem to me little more than an earthly waste of time
After all these precious opportunities that I had to set things right
Dissolve like regret in heaven,
Zen Buddhist heaven.

60/100 - Feels like it could be more; it has some good ideas but it doesn't really take them the whole way.

"Testimony" by Pestilence:

["Seeking life-answers by using dark powers"]

The gates to my subconscious, open wide
Hear and remember, the incantations I recite
Reveal the power, no longer known by man
Possess, before the ancients rule the earth once again

Beneath the seas and skies of the human mind
The abyss yawns wide before me
Uncertain what truth of lies I will find
Appear and share my wisdom, for I know thee

Descend into the foul places of death
I fear for my flesh, for I have seen my epitaph
The price I pay on this lonely journey
Is softened and I hope the gods will have mercy

From a time before a time a cold voice has spoken
From a land beyond the stars I evoke thee
In exchange for wisdom, what evil have I woken
What terrible faith shall consume me?

I've seen the future
I've seen the past
I've seen the sight of whom causeth horror
I've seen my place of rest

I've travelled on spheres, I've seen things
Beyond imagination
The things I have learned are the most pure revelation
Obliterated are the lines of my life
My blood cries out as I make my last sacrifice

I cannot see, I cannot move, 'cause sight is failing me
Knowing that the beasts of the spaces claim my blood
My blood turns black but frightened I cannot be
The bargain is sealed, the price to pay is to rot

Testimony of the ancients

90/100. Never heard that song, but thats some good, dark stuff right there.

"Keeper Of The Seven Keys" By Helloween

[Music + lyrics: M. Weikath]

Make the people
hold each other's hands
and fill their hearts with truth
you made up your mind
so do as divined

Put on your armour
ragged after fights
hold up your sword
you're leaving the light
make yourself ready
for the lords of the dark
they'll watch your way
so be cautious, quiet and hark

You hear them whispering
in the crowns of the trees
you're whirling 'round
but your eyes don't agree
will 'o' the wisps
misguiding your path
you can't throw a curse
without takin' their wrath

[Bridge:]
Watch out for the seas of hatred and sin
or all us people forget what we've been
our only hope's your victory
kill that satan who won't let us be--kill!

[Chorus:]
You're the keeper of the seven keys
that lock up the seven seas
and the seer of visions sais before he went blind
hide them from demons and rescue mankind
or the world we're all in will soon be sold
to the thone of the evil payed with Lucifer's gold

You can feel cold sweat
running down your neck
and the dwarfs of falseness
throw mud at your back

Guided by spells
of the old seer's hand
you're suffering pain
only steel can stand

[Bridge:]
Stay well on your way and follow the sign
fulfull your own promise and do what's divined
the seven seas are far away
placed in the valley of dust heat and sway

[Chorus:]
You're the keeper of the seven keys
that lock up the seven seas
and the seer of visions said before he went blind
hide them from demons and rescue mankind
or the world we're all in will soon be sold
to the throne of the evil payed with Lucifer's gold

Throw the first key into the sea of hate
[Solo: Mike/Kai]
throw the second key into the sea of fear
throw the third key into the sea of senselessness
and make the people hold each other's hands
the fourth key belongs into the sea of greed
and the fifth into the sea of ignorance
Disease, disease, disease my friend
for this whole world's in devil's hand
Disease, disease, disease my friend
throw the key or you may die

[Solo: Kai/Mike/Kai/Mike]

On a mound at the shore of the last sea
he is sitting, fixing your sight
with his high iron voice causing sickness
he is playing you out with delight
man who do you just think you are?
a silly bum with seven stars
don't throw the key or you will see
dimensions cruel as they can be
don't let him suck off your power
throw the key. . .!

[Solo: both/Kai/Mike/Kai/Mike]

An earthquake, squirting fire, bursting ground
Satan's screaming, and earth swallowing him away!

[Chorus:]
You're the keeper of the seven keys
you locked up the seven seas
and the seer of visions can now rest in peace
there ain't no more demons and no more disease
and, mankind, live up, you're free again
yes the tyrant is dead, he is gone, overthrown
you have given our souls back to light

King Rat by Modest Mouse

Well! [x4]

We spun like birds on fire right down towards the residence and I
I took all that I desired, even crooks have to pay the rent.
We swam like rats on fire right, right down the reservoir
We took all that we could carry but we tried to carry more.

And you know you know you know it all went wrong.
And you know you know you know it was all wrong.

We choked on straight tap water well I'm gonna have to try the real thing
I took your laugh by the collar and it knew not to swing.
Anytime I tried an honest job well the till had a hole and ha-ha
We laughed about payin' rent 'cause the county jails they're free.

And you know you know you know it all went wrong.
And you know you know you know it was all wrong.

Deep Water, Deep Water
Senseless Denial
I went down like a rag doll as you would, child
Deep Water, Deep Water
Senseless Denial
I went down like a rag doll as you would, child

Oh, lucky lucky lucky lucky me again.
I said it looks like I've got to use my feet again
Well I just spent my last one-hundred dollars
God I'll pay my bill again

Oh, I don't care
Oh, how I just don't care.

Deep Water, Deep Water
Senseless Denial
I went down like a rag doll shooken and shy
Deep Water, Deep Water
Senseless Denial
I went down like a rag doll rat of a child

Well King rat has me on his list again
I can never be on the fence again
I found out it's all loud
Open like an organ and it
talk, talk, talk, talk again
he promised me that when I cheated him
But I could open my eye well...
lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky,
lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky me again.

Deep Water, Deep Water
This Senseless Denial
I got fed like a fish, full of open smiles
Blue Water, Deep Water
Oh Senseless Denial
I got fed like a fish on the cardboard smiles

Well Well...
What do you have to say for yourself?
I said, well well
Well?
I said well, well, well, well!

Lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky me again.
I hardly knew I should use my feet again
What do you have to say for yourself?
What do you have to say for yourself?

Soon Ripe, Soon Rotten by Creepmime:

He that lives in hope, dances to all ill tune
for wantonness knows no law
and corporations have neither bodies to be punished
nor souls to be damned
the road to oblivion is paved with good intentions
and work incentives

In the world of the blind
the one eyed man makes corporations
corporations leaving sickness
which can't be cured which must be endured

One funeral brings many in civilised society
a society soon ripe, soon rotten

A guilty conscience needs no accuser
but silence is mistaken for consent and to err is human
drive out nature with a pitchfork and she'll neither come back
nor breathe for us again
the road of oblivion is paved with good intentions
and momentary lapses of reason

World at Large-Modest Mouse

Ice-age heat wave, can't complain.
If the world's at large, why should I remain?
Walked away to another plan.
Gonna find another place, maybe one I can stand.
I move on to another day,
to a whole new town with a whole new way.
Went to the porch to have a thought.
Got to the door and again, I couldn't stop.
You don't know where and you don't know when.
But you still got your words and you got your friends.
Walk along to another day.
Work a little harder, work another way.

Well uh-uh baby I ain't got no plan.
We'll float on maybe would you understand?
Gonna float on maybe would you understand?
Well float on maybe would you understand?

The days get shorter and the nights get cold.
I like the autumn but this place is getting old.
I pack up my belongings and I head for the coast.
It might not be a lot but I feel like I'm making the most.
The days get longer and the nights smell green.
I guess it's not surprising but it's spring and I should leave.

I like songs about drifters - books about the same.
They both seem to make me feel a little less insane.
Walked on off to another spot.
I still haven't gotten anywhere that I want.
Did I want love? Did I need to know?
Why does it always feel like I'm caught in an undertow?

The moths beat themselves to death against the lights.
Adding their breeze to the summer nights.
Outside, water like air was great.
I didn't know what I had that day.
Walk a little farther to another plan.
You said that you did, but you didn't understand.

I know that starting over is not what life's about.
But my thoughts were so loud I couldn't hear my mouth.
My thoughts were so loud I couldn't hear my mouth.
My thoughts were so loud.

The Unknown Knows by Voivod

On this train
Will it always rain?
Try to analyze
This led venture
Songless sky, digital bug-eye
Octogonal seams so much clearer
Indiscrete, status incomplete
To provide me with
Something better

Things come and go
This world is droll
All that I know
The Unknown knows

Talk to me you flying shadows
Wandering into the ozone stew
Keep your myths from the embryos
Who would misconstrue
Anything new
An outright official fiasco
Can you shiled me
From the drastic truth

Times come and go
How dull the flow
All that I hope
The Unknown knows

Have some sign come to me
That I am in their league
Back down to reality
Look about, response is wanting
Events are carefully on display
Common sense, a gift, is given
But mystic mistakes are never made
Suspecting premature daydreams

I surrender to ritual grey
I come and go
Endless approach
I must be close
The Unknown knows

Why all this commotion now?
Stop...wait
I wish I knew the one who knows
Yesterday will come
With tomorrow's sun
And merry-go-round
Stuck on muddy ground
Nineteen yelping fools
Half-wits spouting drool
Half of which have some
The others have none
I knew all along
