Meric, whom had been standing near Celthric frowned at the decapitated elf. "Gross." He said shortly, stepping away. Not wanting to stick around and make himself a bigger target-Meric never was very good at close combat, and preferred to pick off from above- he moved up as high as he felt comfortable with on several beams. Unless any of the bandits were good at climbing or shot at him with arrows, it was unlikely that anyone would be confronting him, which was exactly how he liked it. Sneaky and dirty, the exact opposite of formal military training.

Mortek watched his Mage friend jump up to the platform. The Mage had performed a feet that few assassins would try. But, now as not the time for watching. He had to fight the large Orc before him. He would be doing so, on ice. Compliments of Nexxus. How ever, this worked to Morteks favor, for the orc was not as balanced as he was. So the mercenary leader expected for the match to be over shortly.

What he did not expect was Gorlef smashing the ground with his force hammer. The ice sheet shattered and sent shards of ice blasting outwards. Thankfully, Morteks armor was more then enough to stop the ice shards. He took a step back and viewed the ground. It mostly broken up now. Thin shards of ice littered the ground. Mortek picked up some shards and charged the orc. Mortek slashed side ways as hard as he could with his blade. His blade connected hard with the shaft of the hammer, but bounced off. He didn't slow his attack though, he needed to get the bandit leader on his heels. Morteks vibro-sword swung in again and again and again. Finally Gorlef slipped on some ice and stumbled back just a little. It was enough for Mortek, he threw his ice shards at the orcs face. Gorlef had to close his eyes to avoid getting in his eyes. The mercenary leader vaulted forward and thruster his blade into Gorlefs heart, killing him.

Nexxus hosted hisself up onto the girder and faced the elves. They both holstered there crossbows and unsheathed there rapiers. One of them lunged forward while the other maintained a defensive position. Massive shards of ice launched out Nexx's cloak sleeve and impaled the elf, sending him tumbling to his death. The second ran at him with so much force that one quick sweep with Nexx's leg sent him launching off screaming. "Idiot." said Nexx

The rest of the bandit group was either running, or still in combat. Soon they would have everyone routed, then they could look for the man they were sent to rescue.

Swinging himself so that his legs wrapped around the beam, Meric moved himself to gain more flexibility in movement. He blinked hard against the blood rushing to his head and made sure that his arrows didn't fall out of the quiver when he changed horizons simply by turning it upside down. Out of the corner of his eye, Meric noticed several of the bandits trying to escape by a separate exit. He didn't have much magic ability, and had to improvise during a lot of their battles. The only part of the building that was wood was the door, and he just hopped that what he was planning didn't set the whole building on fire.
Shrugging through his belt pack, he nearly dropped all of his matches onto the floor trying to pull one out and light it. Meric hated having to set his arrows on fire, and grumbled when the wood very quickly caught on fire. Not wanting to get burned, he shot the arrow at the door the bandits were trying to escape through. Better lighting at least, since the room had poor lighting.
