Cassandra - Biological Daughter
As Caleb pulled his car into the parking lot, Cassie sighed. She wasn't one in favor with the whole idea of school, let alone going this early into the morning. It wasn't like she was bad in school, hell the girl got straight A's, it was immense amount of stress that hit her each time she walked through the front door. Getting out of the car, she faked a smile at a passing teacher who said "hi." The funniest thing to Cassie was the fact she did all these things to help the school, and in reality she hated most of the school.
Looking over to Caleb, she smiled with unenthusiastic comment. Following after him, Cassie had to work a little hard, seeing he was almost a foot taller than she was. "Okay, so I feel like you're not happy to be in hell, Caleb. Why aren't you happy in hell? Is it cause of the enormous amount of work, or the nagging teachers?" She asked sarcastically, as the duo walked up to her locker. Cassie placed a few text books in there, and sighed. "Just be happy it's senior year, one more year in this place, and we are out." She said, giggling a little bit. "And then I can do what I always wanted, travel and contemplate which college I should attend." She laughed. "Have you even looked into colleges yet?" She asked him, looking over her shoulder as she rearranged her locker.

Hannah glanced back at the siblings following her to the bus stop. It was funny how everyone was so scattered, yet they all ended up together at school anyways. Once arriving where the bus was supposed to be, Hannah looked up at the sky. It was odd how dark and gloomy the sky was yet there was little wind or rain now. As Hannah pulled out her phone to check the weather, two of her siblings joined her, laughing. Glancing up, Hannah smiled. "Nice to see you two actually not bickering." She joked as she flipped through her phone apps. "Yes, it seems so." Hannah answered shortly. However, not a minute after she had spoken the bus drove up and opened the doors. The bus driver looked very unhappy, probably irritated at current passengers noisiness.
"Good morning." Hannah said as she out away her phone and stepped onto the bus. Though there were just a few other people already picked up, the bus was very loud. Taking a seat near the front, Hannah watched as her siblings stepped in. [/fieldbox]

May unloaded from the car and entered with Candence. "The teachers aren't scary, you just have to watch out for the grumpy teachers." She laughed, entering the school. "I'll show you your classrooms and when we eat lunch, I'll show you my friends!" She said excitedly. Skipping down the hall, May waved and hugged a few other kids, didn't leave her sisters side. She didn't want Candence to have a bad experience then want to go back to home schooling. [/Fieldbox]

"Alright, I'll be there!" Nico answered Peyton. As most of the group left, Nico decided to use his free time and drop by Charlie's work and drop off a few tools he had borrowed. But before heading out, Nico trotted up stairs and peeked his head into the boys room. Takumi Hadn't graced them with his presence, which meant he was probably still sleeping. Flipping on the light switch, Nico stepped in. "I'm going over to Charlie's today then over to help Peyton with something. Do you want to join me?" He asked Takumi, not caring if he were still asleep. "Everybody's off to school, you need to get up too." He added, pulling the covers off his bed then plopping down at Takumi's feet. Nico pulled out his phone and texted Charlie, "Hey, you going to work today? I was thinking of dropping off those tools I borrowed a while ago."[/fieldbox]

Cadence smiled and had to speed walk to keep up with her skipping sister, never letting go of her hand.
She saw her hug other students, but she didn't see but a few teachers. It was noisier than she had thought
school would be, beginning to have second thoughts about this.
" When is lunch? "
All she could think about now was eating lunch even though it was still early in the day. She didn't want to think
about what might or might not happen in class, so she thought about food instead.

Charlie had started his day early today, at 6am he had gone to work. He liked to get in early and play around with the stuff in the shop. Too many good pieces of scrap went to waste and in the mornings he could always fill his truck with whatever he felt was worth while. He saw the owner inside, Kent. Kent was an interesting man. He had been married near 10 times and had managed to get progressively uglier as the count went higher. He was balding, had very scruffy facial hair, and the body of a bloated frog. The man paid well though.

"Mornin' boss!" Charlie shouted from the shop, "I'm gonna finish the Henderson's drum breaks just as soon as I load this into the truck."

Charlie knelt down and picked up a totally scrapped engine, it had been in a car crash but would make a great cooler if he could figure out how to make it work. Kent came out of his office and began mumbling in a huff about something. Charlie was carrying the engine with some difficulty to his truck parked right outside the garage. Charlie squatted and let the engine's weight rest on his stomach and legs as his hand reached up and popped the truck bed. He quickly reached his arm back under the engine and made a jump like motion as he pushed the engine into the bed.

"Charlie damnit!" Kent said as hustled over to him, "You've got 3 weeks paid vacation man, I can afford to have you in here messing with the tools. And quit with all that overtime its making me money but damned if I'm not sick of having the shop to myself for once."

Charlie walked into the locker room with Kent complaining behind him, "Look Kent, really man I'm just doing my job."

"Yeah well I'm sick of you doing it so damn much."

"I cant help that," Charlie said as he opened his locker and pulled out his coveralls. Before he could even unzip them Kent grabbed them and threw them back into the locker before he slammed the locker door shut. Charlie reached for the handle but Kent threw his body over the lockers.

"Kent?" Charlie said with a touch of impatience. Kent shook his head and pointed towards the door. Charlie shook his head and pointed through Kent at his locker.

"You're taking a vacation, or I'll fire you."

"You cant fire me for that," Charlie said before being grabbed by the shirt and escorted out the open garage door by an angry Kent. Kent reached up and couldnt grab the lip of the garage door. Charlie tried to get back inside but Kent stood in front of him preventing it.

"You are taking a vacation!" Kent said as he grabbed the chain on the side of the large metal door and began pulling it down, "Go enjoy the day!"

Charlie looked up at the sky and felt a raindrop on his cheek. He walked to the side of his truck and hopped inside, he pulled the door closed as he did so. He looked at his phone and noticed he'd gotten a message from Nico. Nico was Charlie's best buddy, and Charlie loved hanging out with him. Not to mention Nico's family was almost always a riot. They were too big not to have some problems. Charlie unlocked his phone and read the message. He began typing a response.

'Yeah I was, but Kent said he needed some time to himself in the shop. I'll probably just hang at my place unless the family needs a hand.'

Caleb followed Cassie to her locker and then leaned against one before peeking into her locker. " I mean I hate this school but your right about one thing, senior year is going to fly by and I can't wait until I walk across the stage on graduation day". It was true,Caleb had enough of the school over the past few years and even though there were some good days and bad he still wanted to leave as soon as possible. When Cassie spoke about colleges and if he had been looking for some that he liked Caleb nodded his head. " Yeah I was looking at some colleges out of state but to be honest I'm gonna end up going to college with you cause of not who's going to have your back?". Caleb smiled poking Cassie's cheek.

The day was still early and students were groaning and complainants they made their way to the first class of the day. Caleb didn't need anything from his locker since he had the books and things he needed already in there. The first class he had to sit in and pretend to enjoy was history. Caleb tugged on Cassie's sleeve before he began walking to history class and plopping down in the back where he could put his head down and rest in peace.

Takumi's eyes groggily opened to the sound of Nico's voice and the feeling of his bed being pushed on. Takumi wiped his eyes as they slowly adjusted to being open again, and he greeted Nico with a tired smile. "Do you always talk to me when I'm asleep?" He asked with a groggy laugh as he adjusted his morning hair. Takumi liked the length he kept it, and it usually stayed in the messy look he liked. Even after a late night of band practice or gaming, his hair would be fine in the morning. "But yeah, I'll tag along, I've got nothing better to do." Takumi's voice had begun to sound less tired as he stood himself up and prepared himself for the day. He grabbed clean clothes from his dresser (Baggy jeans, a T-Shirt, and a zip-up hoodie), and changed. He didn't care that Nico was in the room, and he doubted that Nico even cared. Takumi grabbed his phone from the charger and slid it into his left pocket. "I'm ready whenever."

May looked across at Candence. "Well, lunch is at 12:00. But we'll be able to see each other between classes." She explained, smiling. "Here is your first class. And just down the hall is your next class." May told her, glancing down at the paper that listed Candence's classes. Just then the school bell rang, signaling everyone to find their classes and take a seat. "I'll see you after class, okay? Try and make some friends!" She suggested, light heartedly. Turning on a dime, May skipped off to her class, not wanting to be late.

Nico chuckled. "Well, sometimes." He joked, now surfing his Facebook feed. Seeing the alert that Charlie had answered, Nico switched apps and replied, "Okay. I've got to go to Peyton's work and help her out with something. After that you want to-" Nico paused his typing as Takumi spoke. "Okay." Nico replied to Takumi accepting the invitation. " go and play some airosoft? Takumi would be coming too, if that changes anything." Nico finished texting then sent it. Looking up just as Takumi put his phone in his pocket. Standing up, Nico also slipped his phone in his back pocket. "Okay, let's head over to Charlie's first." He said before exiting the bedroom.

Charlie looked down at his phone as he was pulling into his driveway, damn thing was slow as hell. He grumbled and read the message. Airsoft. He was very down for that.

'I'm just getting home, will grab my guns and one for Takumi if he needs one.'

He turned the truck off and pulled the keys out of the ignition then dropped them into his shirt pocket. He walked inside and saw his dad was sitting on the couch with a Shiner Bock in his hand and a rerun of Seinfeld on.

"Hey pop, Nico and I are gonna hang and play some airsoft later. You need anything while I'm out?" Charlie asked his father, since his mom left his dad had put on some weight but he was still the same guy Charlie knew when he was little.

"If you want you could pick up some trashbags, we need some. Be sure you dont point those damn things at other people, remember you cousin Andy..."

"Yeah yeah, Andy lost an eye because he was being dumb and playing with a BB gun. Different thing dad."

"Still, I dont want to have to pay for you to get a glass eye or something later in life."

"Relax." Charlie said calmly. He climbed the stairs and walked into his room, he dropped down onto his bed and thought for a second. He had one of those low to the ground platform beds. It was comfortable and meant he could literally roll out of bed in the morning. His room wasnt far off from what a highschooler's was. He had some band posters, some random stuff hanging around. He got up off his bed and walked to his closet. He opened the folding doors and reached into the box where his Airsoft guns were. He pulled out his shotgun, it was a nice little piece. He tossed it onto his bed along with the pistol and its holster. He really liked his pistol, it looked like a 1911 and it's holster strapped around his thigh. He grabbed his M16 looking rifle and the battery pack for it along with the charger. If he really needed to he could charge it and just use his shotgun.

'Got my guns all set up, where we wanting to go?'

Outside the weather had begun to get bad once again. The sky had turned dark with a hint of green and the wind had picked up, making the air not feel so humid. The whole county was now under a tornado watch, which happened quite often during this time of the year, but no one really took it seriously. School was going on like usual, the towns people bustled about their busy lives, and even the animals seemed comfortable.

[fieldbox="Hannah-Biological Daughter, dashed, purple, 10"]
Upon entering the bus, Hannah plopped down near the front and immediately pulled out her phone. She was going to message Ariel, her cousin, about still picking up the art set she'd lent him. He was probably at school now, which meant there wasn't any going back to get it if he'd forgotten it, but she just wanted to make sure. No one liked getting their hopes up, just to be dashed away when finding out the truth!
"Hey Ariel. Did you happen to remember to bring the art set today?" She texted rather quickly. Not expecting a speedy reply, Hannah put her phone in her lap and peered out the window. "Wow. Why are we going to school today? It looks nasty outside." She mumbled to herself, looking off in the distance for signs of a possible tornado she'd read in her constant searching the Internet. Though she was on the bus with her siblings, Hannah was almost always silent on the bus, rarely answering others when they spoke to her.
Approaching school at last, Hannah noted that it had gotten even darker outside, making her anxious as she constantly check her weather app. Still just under a tornado watch. As the bus doors opened, Hannah pulled together all her belongs and once again assumed conversation with her siblings. "The Sky looks nasty. I wonder why we're even coming to school. It's not like school's very safe." She voiced her concerns at last to no specific sibling.

It was just another day. Serafina didn't really seem all that concerned with going to school. She did very well in her academics, so nothing really bothered her. As she reluctantly boarded the bus, Serafina just hopped that today would just be a normal day. No Tornadoes, nothing out of the Ordinary. The whole bus ride, she was quiet and kept to herself. Serafina wasn't really all that talkative, not since her Father passed away, which explains why she is under the care of the current family she is staying with.

Rollan and Rylee

Rollan felt his sister hand on his shoulder before he could even form a retort about Hannah's comment about bickering. He glanced at her and shrugged, stepping aside to let his twin step ahead of him on the bus. It's not like I was gonna actually fight with her, he thought to himself. Just rile her up a bit. He followed his sisters onto the crowded bus. Rollan frowned at all the noise, knowing that it wasn't going to be good for Rylee. As if on cue, she pressed her hand to her forehead in attempt to quell the migraine she must be feeling. "Here Ry, let's sit closer to the front," Rollan took her elbow and together they found a seat, a few places away from where Hannah was to their right, and sat down sychronized, as if they had practiced sitting down at the exact same time. But that wasn't the case. That's just how it was with them.

Rylee took the window seat, as usual, biting her lip to take her mind of the pain of her headache. "These assholes don't know how to shut up do they?" she muttered, earning a chuckle from Rollan. His laugh eased her pain a bit and made her smile. She pressed the front of her skull against the window, enjoying the cool, almost wet, feel that the pane of glass had to offer. They rode the rest of the way almost quietly, Rollan not wanting to make too much noise except for the occasional "heys" aimed toward some of his buddies on the bus, and Rylee in concentration. She stared out at the stormy clouds, wondering that if she looked hard enough her mind would be too preoccupied to feel pain.

As the approached the school, Rylee's headache was already starting to subside, leaving small bits of vertigo in its wake. Rollan held up his twin when she swayed and they both waited a bit until it had passed until they followed their sister off the bus and away from the noise. Rollan reached into his side bag and pulled out a Snickers, handling it over to Rylee who accepted it with a small "Thanks" before she began to nom on it. "I think I saw Serafina on the bus too, so let's wait for her before heading in," she heard her brother mention between bites of chocolate. She nodded in reply and went to stand by Hannah with her twin trailing behind. At Hannah's comment, both of the twins looked up too take in the angry sky, which seemed gloomier than when they had left. "Maybe it will clear up later?" Rylee hoped with a semi-full mouth. "Doubt it," her twin replied. "Do they even have measure for natural disasters?"

Cadence put on a faint smile and went in the front door to see a room full of girls and boys.
A younger woman stood at the front with a book in her hand and a smile on her face.
" Ah, you must be Cadence. Please, take a seat. "
She seemed nice enough. Giving a final glance at her older sister, she went and sat down next
to a boy who's name she had yet to learn. This was very new to her, so she sat in awkward silence
children turned to look at her. She heard whispers and mutters, hoping that she seemed normal
enough. It was so hard for her to learn things, hopefully these kids wouldn't judge her.

Cassandra - Biological Daughter
Cassandra continued to pull and exchange books with her locker. Taking out her history book and putting in her math book, all while listening to Caleb. She had her face in her locker searching for her black gel pen, when Caleb tugged on her sleeve. She sighed. She still feel like going to class yet, though it would happen sooner or later. Stopping her search, she closed her locker and proceeded behind Caleb. "I can take care of myself, but you going to college with me is a nice idea." She admitted.

Walking into the classroom, she took her normal seat in the back by the window. She may have been a straight A student, and did much for her school, but she wasn't all for sitting in the front. Sitting her messenger bag down, she looked over to Caleb laying his head on the desk. She rolled her eyes, and chuckled. "And this is why I have to loan you my notes more than anything." She joked. Turning her head, she looked out the window. For the first time, she noticed the sky had darkened with a green hue in it. "Great, just great." She muttered under her breathe. Taking her phone out, there was a tornado warning on her phone. "Hey Caleb, we could get sucked up into a twister today." She informed him.

"No need to get one for Takumi. He's got a pistol. We can meet at the Landsides farm and go out behind there. They've cleared out most of the brush back there." Nico replied to Charlie. Nico grabbed a breakfast bar for snack later on then headed out the front door. "We're stopping by Peyton's." He re-said. It was more as a reminder for himself than Takumi. They drove out the driveway and were off on the half hour trip to meet Peyton. However, as a lull in the music came Nico heard a deep rumbling noise. Like that of a train. Quickly shutting the music down and bringing the truck to a stop, Nico listened. It had gotten very windy out in the country. Much more so than in town. "Takumi, look on your weather-" Nico stopped what he was saying when the emergency alarm interrupted the music.
"This is an emergency alert from the weather station. There has been a tornado touch down just east of Newport. We advise everyone to take cover."
Nico almost immedieately put the truck into drive and began again headed to Peyton's work. Hopefully she was there and not still driving there. He knew there was a reason he felt he needed to go early! "Takumi, text Peyton and see where she is." He ordered, not taking time to see how Takumi was reacting to the sudden news.

"I hope so." Hannah replied to both twins. Looking back into the bus, Hannah fiddled with her fingers. They were in one of the more dangerous areas for a tornado because of all the bycicles and lose things. "Flying debree is the number one thing that kills people during tornados. And we're not in a good location for-" Hannah stopped mid sentence as the tornado siren just down the street suddenly started. Almost immediately after, the students around them began to panick and race towards the school building. Hannah gasp and looked around for signs of the direction the tornado could possibly be coming from. "Lets run to the library! they have a storm shelter." Hannah said seriously. "Serifina! Let's go!" She shouted, making sure her twins siblings were following her as well.

Cadence was sitting in the back, minding herself, when an alarm began to blare throughout
the building, setting the whole room into a panic. The teacher stood at her desk, telling them
all to remain calm and to form a line at the door, that there was nothing to be afraid of. But
Cadence couldn't hear her, all sound was toned from her mind and everything seemed to have
a been blurred at the edges. All she heart was the alarm and the sound of her heart threatening
to pound from her chest. Everyone was not in a line, nobody was, everyone was rushing to get
out the door and into the hallway, pushing and yelling. A few children were crying, others were
joking about something she couldn't comprehend. All she felt was fear and paranoia, she wanted
to find her sister, and she wanted to find her fast. It felt to a girl like Cadence, as if the world was
against her and she had nowhere to hide.

Rollan and Rylee

Rylee's hands flew to her ears as the loud sirens began to get louder and louder as it attempted to warn any person in the surrounding area of the impending danger. The noise split her skull, her earlier headache returning with a vengeance at the sharp cry of the speakers. They had cut off her sister's words so all Rylee heard was "kills people during tornados." Her stomach dropped as the words registered, despite the noise and for a moment her feet were firmly planted on the floor instead of rushing inside like the other students; they had dropped what they were doing, some turning on a dime, and dashed into the building, some with horrid screams tearing out of their throats. Rylee had to bit her own lips to keep in her own shrieks which threatened to be released, not in panic but to try to drown out the insistent sirens.

Rollan cursed as the obtrusive noise crashed through his eardrums. He took a step to follow after Hannah, stopping immediately when he realized that Rylee didn't follow. "Ry, what's-" He turned and saw her, hands clenching at her ears, and noticed the pain and mild panic. Her steel blue eyes met his and with a jolt he understood. He returned to her and forcefully pulled her toward him, his grip as gentle as possible, ready to support her if she lost her balance. "Hurry up!"

Rylee's body moved from where it was stuck, stumbling slightly as her legs unlocked. It was the surprise of her twin handling her so roughly and his harsh tone that finally snapped her out of her daze. She nodded her thanks to him and moved to follow Hannah as calmly as she could, her hand subconsiously rubbing across her stomach. "Come on Serafina, we have to go!"
