As much as I do love a good book, assigned reading always feels like a chore to me :(
 
Hmmm I like to think of it as a challenge
 
It ain't assigned reading, you can volunteer to tap in or out, read ahead or follow the schedule, and decide whether you want to join in the discussions or not. Last year I read all of the books before the start of the first VC discussions and had a bunch of fun flipping back and forth in my books to make sure I wasn't spoiling anything and remembered everything in the right order.
 
I have three new books on my list from a used book store. Used book stores are magical. They have everything I wasn't expecting.
 
Now that is something I can agree with. I do enjoy a good bargain book hunt.
 
I do the vast majority of my book shopping on either Thriftbooks or Amazon. All them nice used books!
