*throws a charging Carnifex in every post*

Just for that... you will have a Carnifex charging you EVERY POST. :l

*stands impatiently at the grenade checkout as a Carnifex scans his credit card*

This sucks.

I shall throw Charlie Sheen every post! Because he is winning.

Name: Crion

Role: Short Range Support

Equipment: Combat knife, Bolt postol, Flamer, frag and meta grenades.

Background: Veteran of the battle for the Giant's coffin Crion was deployed in reserve on the east side, under orders to plug any gaps in the line, yet as the well organized defense was overwhelmed and crumbled and the evacuations began Crion's squad began a fighting retreat covering the withdrawal of east and north flanks. In the bloody melle most of Crion's squad was dragged down by the endless tides of gaunts or well to the larger xenos., but still the assault marines, mixing squads as needed continued to use their mobility to but time for the thunderhawks to be loaded.

It was towards the end of the battle that they received their most desperate objective. The chapter master was overwhelmed and there was an opening. Now caring for the swarm around them they jumped right to Thorcyra's position and, using a storm shield as a makeshift stretcher acted as his silent pallbearers to the waiting thunderhawk.

He earned the position of devastator that day, and in the hot an run campaign that followed was accepted as a tactical marine, with the need for mobility many were pressed into thiis role over the more static devastators.

Part of him regrets having lived through Miral, put up a glorious last stand and been venerated as an example to follow, but he dismisses that as folly, the chapter endures.

Vay the major problem I have with your character is the equipment. I don't mind if you were once a member of an assualt sqaud as that makes sense, but the characters are supposed to be part of a tactical squad. While they might consider themselves veterans due to the chapter's firece fighting on Miral the characters (for the most part) would have still been in their training then, and wouldn't have the experiance of a veteran of another chapter or a true member of the first company.

Maybe "Role" was the improper title, but I was figuring it would describe your character's fighting style and postion within the squad, not your kit. For instance you chose assault as yours, this was meant to say that while you are not stupid in fighting you have never really given up the thrill of being part of an assault squad. You might like using a bolt pistol and knife over the bolter, but you're not nesscarily going to use a pistol and knife over a bolter if the situation calls for it. Make sense?

Finnally, as I said the issue was generally with your equipment. The grenades are fine, the pistol is fine, but the storm shield and chainsword would not be something you would carry and no one will have a jump pack as you will have a vehicle.

Name: Adom Romodulus
Role: Run and Gun, Prefers Ranged Combat
Equipment: Bolter, Bolt Pistol, 2 Frag and 2 Krak Grenades, Extra Bolter Ammunition

Brief Background:

Adom is a veteran of the Miral massacre as well. He served with some of the finest men in the chapter, and he misses them dearly. The war took all of their lives, and nearly claimed Adom's...With ammunition running low, the whole squad couldn't continue to press on. A surprise attack had caught them off guard and the didn't have the necessary supplies to win the fight. The only option left was a tactical retreat.

Lyonal, with his heavy bolter, knew that he wouldn't make it back alive. He stood his ground and unloaded every bit of ammunition he had left before he fell. Nero and the Sargent were running close behind Adom when suddenly they stopped. Nero had been killed, and it was only a matter of time before Adom and the Sargent fell too.

"Run boy! While you still have a chance! That's an order!" The Sargent yelled as he swung his chainsword violently at his enemies. Adom turned and ran, he was the fastest runner out of the group, and that probably helped save his life. He was met by a team of Marines that helped him get back to safety in their transport vehicle. Ever since that, Adom has made it a point to carry a little bit more ammunition than he actually needed, cause you never know when you might need that extra clip...

Alright so including Vay the Line up is as follows:
  • Asmo: Sergeant
  • WMD: Shock Trooper/Assault Weapons Specialist
  • TNT: Support Gunner/Heavy Weapons Specialist
  • Doc: Bolter Buddy/Tactical Marine
  • Vay: Assualt Marine in the Wrong Place/Tactical Marine who Lost his Bolter
Still waiting for input and/or character sheets from the follow:
  • Raiu
  • GMK
  • Jovian
Provided Vay is willing to change his character to fit the changes I mention to gear we can start. Heck I'm pretty sure we can start now because all I needed was 5 or so people and I have no issue with doing the first post in a couple of days at most.

Would it make more sense if I switched to a bolter?

I'm used to Version 2, when a chainsword was the only thing that distinguished the sergeant from the identical-posing bolter marines.

Asmo:
The Space Marine Sergeant may replace his boltgunand/or bolt pistol with:
- a chainsword free
- a combi-melta, -flamer or -plasma +10 pts
- a storm bolter +10 pts
- a plasma pistol +15 pts
- a power weapon +15 pts
- a power fist +25 pts
• The Space Marine Sergeant may take:
- melta bombs +5 pts
- teleport homer +15 pts

Damn, I spent all my points on character background.

You're fine for changing it Asmo. We havn't started yet.

Looks fine Vay. A little outside the box, but we can work with it.

Working on the first post now.

Too many names ending in S. I've changed mine.

Well, if we ever need a building flattened, come and find me.

You say that, but I'm sensing a distinct lack of melta bombs...

Trying to me somewhat fair TnT.
