Good, else there would be issues.
I hope that Jax doesn't mind if he'll be a sort of teddy bear for Olivia later on-
She kinda gets clingy when she's reeeeally sleepy.
Or in a deep sleep.
Much to past boyfriends of hers annoyance, hence why they are past boyfriends.
And if Jaxton was shiny in the sunlight, Olivia would probably hate him more.
Because she honestly hated Twilight with a passion.

Zack had no choice but to allow this condition.
Granted he would probably put them in a questioning room that is warded against telepaths.
So they were escorted to said warded room and the questioning began-
Thankfully it was humans who were doing the questioning.
"Report says you openly admit to killing the deceased Olive Kurtis. Is this true, Mr...?" started the interrogator.
"Just call me Louis. And yes, this is true, I did kill Olive. Your report also says how, so don't bother asking about it." said Louis curtly.
"Mhm. So you killed her...why? What was your motive?"
"Because I don't want 'supernatural' beings around."
"And yet you live with three vampires, have a werewolves for extended family as well as...two shifters. Do you want them around?"
Louis fixed the questioner with a cold look. "If I didn't want them around, why would I have them as family?"
The questioner cleared his throat and looked at Lessander. "Would you like to add anything, young man? Any comments about your adoptive brother's actions?"

Jaxton awoke around three in the morning with a money on his back.
Or, wait.
That wasn't a money...
Glancing over his shoulder he snickered and stretched a little.
He didn't mind her clinging to him.
In fact...
With a smirk he carefully rolled over and wrapped his own arms around his partner.
As fun as it would be to wake her up right now, he kinda needed more sleep.
So, after a good snuggle and maybe some nuzzles, he let himself fall back to sleep.

Hearing his brother confess again really hurt.
However, Lessander wasn't going to just condemn him.
"You got his answer. I have nothing to say except that he was forced into being around supernaturals.
Our parents adopted both of us without telling us what they were right away.
I would think that may cause him some distress...especially since a monster was suddenly real."
It was a logical idea at least.
Most humans would flip out if they saw their new dad's were vampires.
Well, and now his brother was one.
"If that is all, is there a bail...?"
He didn't have much money but hopefully it would be a possibility.
Of course he didn't know how this worked with supernaturals.

Would have been funny if there had been a money.
Olivia didn't wake up until about 6, being the morning person she was.
Unlike characters in the past, she didn't really freak out about being rather up close to Jaxton.
She just gave his arms little pushes, trying to get him to move them but still let him sleep.
She wasn't that heartless-
And it could have gone worse... she could have kicked him in the balls and then hit him over the head with about thirty frying pans.
"Jax, lemme up... Need to make breakfast...
Come on, ya big ol' softy of a fangface."
Hey, just because she was being nice, doesn't mean she would leave out the mocking.

"Any sort of bail will be determined after a hearing, along with whether or not he would have to go all out to court.
He did kill someone, remember?" said the questioner.
"Yes, but they can easily prove that your brother was not in his right mind when he did so." said the other human who hadn't spoke this entire time.
"If they can prove your brother is not all there in the head, which I don't mean as an insult-
Then he won't be sentence to jail, but rather an asylum where they would try to fix him."
Louis made a face, as if he really didn't agree to the term 'fix.'
I suppose you could say that he didn't see himself as broken to start with.
"Be that as it may, Griselda, they will still attempt to sentence him if he turns out to be sane." said the questioner.
Griselda rolled her eyes and looked at Lessander.
"Even if they sentence him, it wouldn't be the death penalty. That is all we can really tell you of what could happen."
There was a knock at the door, to which the questioner said enter. In came Zack, who relayed the news about whats up-
"They scheduled a hearing for tomorrow. And they will let Louis go home tonight, but under house arrest until he can be picked up."

Damnit he meant monkey!
He kinda wanted to just keep her in bed, but yeah, needed his body unbroken.
With a faint grin he loosened his arms, then moved them so she could get up.
"Nnnn, morning..."
Breakfast sounded good, but definitely not what Olivia was gonna make.
"Hey...can you get me a blood...bag...?"
Kinda anemic in the morning without his red liquid gold.
"Pwease? Pwetty pwease?"

Lessander relaxed when he was told there would be no death sentence.
Thank god.
Even though they'd only been brothers for a little while, Louis was forever his little brother.
He nodded at the mention of the trial tomorrow, then took Louis' hand and tugged him towards the doors.
No way were they staying there longer then needed.
"We'll be back tomorrow then."
He had a feeling Zack would be there tonight to make sure they didn't disappear, but whatever.
As long as he had Louis near him they'd be okay.
Stopping in front of Zack Less narrowed his eyes.
"Take us home."
It sucked to think that this was going to be possibly be his last night with Louis.
Best not to think about it...

In response to the 'pwease, pwetty pwease,' Olivia stuffed a pillow in his face as she got out of bed.
But smiled to herself and said, "Yeah, yeah- just don't talk like my nephew."
She slipped on some slippers and pranced down the hall.
To the kitchen! Where wonderful food of yumminess can be found.
And blood bags that were only tasty for one party member.
She returned to her bedroom a little while later, carrying a cup of banana smoothie and mister vampirebutt's blood bag.
"Wakey wakey, time for breakfast.
I have no idea how you like this stuff, so I let it sit in hot water while I made my smoothie.
I guess it's warm, but you know, terrible guesser and all."

Louis seemed like his normal self.
Like the little kid that filled the little brother position very well-
He kept held of Less' hand, gave strangers the wary look, and over all, looked like he wasn't a killer.
But he was, and everyone there knew this, but he didn't care.
This could be the last night he'd have with Lessander-
But at least he wasn't going to die like he originally thought.
It left him wondering what they would do to him, if they weren't going to kill him.
Zack said nothing but escorted them all back to the cars-
Well, first security, because Louis had to get a house-arrest anklet, but then to the cars.
And like that, they were on their way home.
And Greg was still clueless.

Jax snickered but kept his mouth shut.
Didn't need to make her mad and get something else thrown at him.
He was much too tired to dodge right now.
After tossing the pillow aside he stretched out, inhaling the scents around the room.
Mmmm, human.
He knew better than to tell her she smelled yummy, so he'll keep the scent to himself!

When his bag was delivered he slowly sat up, reaching out for the object.
He honestly didn't care too much if it was hot or warm, but cold kinda sucked.
Just like drinking milkshakes all the time.
Room temperature was usually the easiest to manage, but fresh from the vein was pretty darn good too.
"This is good, thanks."
One day he'll be able to feed from her, after y'know, she's sedated and drunk.

Less eyed the ankle bracelet as they got into the car.
He hated this whole situation!
His mind was confused and angry as to why Louis did such a thing.
Sure they knew, but why Olive?
She was just a puppy!
There must have been a better target if he had to kill someone.
But that wasn't worth thinking about now, meh.

When they got home he quickly picked up his brother and stomped up to his room, letting Louis climb up first before following.
Less was honestly not sure how to act now.
Would Louis not want him there since he was a vampire?
Sure he said he didn't mind, or at least gestured to it, but he was still hesitant.

That day is very, very far away.
Just saying because it is very true.
"No problem...
So, I have to go to work today-
You can come along if you want, though I promise it will be boring."
Why boring? Because it's just a bunch of meetings and junk.

If she didn't have to go to them, she wouldn't-
But she does, so boring day for Olivia.
"If you don't want to come along, that's cool too.
You can sleep in or whatever you'd normally do."
Pretty much free-rain.

Louis didn't seem phased at all by Less being around him.
Not a single look of irritation or even disgust.
So yeah, he was cool with him- why?
Because of that big family explanation he gave before.

When they were in his room, Louis gave out a big sigh.
"Man today has been a long day...
Can't believe I have to go through this shit again."
Again? This has happened before?
He's killed someone and got caught in a previous situation?
But how is that po- no, I'm not even going to question how that could be possible.
Why? because it is pointless and is going to end up being explained later on anyways.
Just not sure when it will be explained.

"I suppose I could tag along.
As long as there are no wide open windows and what not..."
Through a window the sun only gives him a mild sunburn.
Sleeping in did sound good but he'd wake up as soon as she left.
Kinda the vampire thing...or maybe just the ridiculously old vampire thing.
With a stretch he got himself up and yawned.
Thankfully he didn't have to hide his fangs anymore inside, so he let them drop with the action.
Mmm, made it much easier to eat from the bag now!
"So...you're a cop, I know this, but do those guys know about the vampires?"
Heck, there were werewolves around too.

"...again?"
Lessander eyed his brother as he sat on his bed.
He remembered Louis mentioning the fire with his parents, but he said he hadn't gotten in trouble for their deaths.
"What did you do last time?"
Of course most wouldn't answer that, but he was already in big trouble.
Not like Less would tell anyone.
He wanted his brother's freedom, even if he killed the werewolf puppy.
It hurt, but his brother was his family and also kind of his love.
It was a skewed view, just like Louis's views on certain things, but the brothers were evidently messed up together.

"Only my boss knows about vampire's and things.
He's a retired guy from our slayer job.
Joined the normal police force because he had nothing else to do with his life."
Olivia have a shrug, not sure what to say about that.
All she knows is that she had to be out the door in the next ten minutes.
"So if you're actually coming with me, get dressed-
Whatever guys do to get ready for work."
She doesn't know men!

"... My father had an afair with a werewolf girl while my mother was considering on leaving my father for a vampire guy.
I didn't like the guy my Mother want to be with, nor did I approve of my father's afair.
But I was a kid and kids aren't suppose to know those things.
But I did and since they didn't listen to my protests, I had no choice but to make them think otherwise.
I thought if I made a house fire and blamed their lovers, they would think it would be better if they just stayed with each other.
But I made too big of a fire and they lost their lives because of it."
Louis looked at Lessander with a tired look.
"All those times where I said I was happy that they were dead were true in one way...
I was only happy because they died together and they didn't have to see their lives be ruined by poor choices...
But that was also when my hate for the supernatural a rose up.
Granted I only hate those two, and anyone related to them."
He went to his dresser and pulled out a file he kept in the top drawer.
He gave it Lessander, still tired looking.
"But just because I hate them and their family doesn't mean I want to kill them.
The only reason why it seemed like I killed Olive is because one of those families knows about what I did and wants me to pay.
So they had a doppelgänger of me kill her and leave evidence that would point to me...
Meaning I am innocent in the murder of a child."

Glancing down at himself, Jaxton grinned.
"What? I can't just go in my boxers? Boo."
After giving a laugh he turned and sauntered back into her room where he had set his stuff in the corner.
A minute later he returned with a pair of loose fitting jeans a long gray T-shirt.
What?
Guys didn't do much to get ready, and when you were a vampire, you kinda just looked hot anyways.
Well, that wasn't always true, but most times!
"Ready."
Oh wait!
Jax ran back into the bedroom to grab his blood bag.
He finished after a minute, then tossed it in the trash.
"Now I'm good!"

That whole story was crazy...but of course, he believed him.
After taking the file and glancing it over, Less sat it aside and patted his lap.
With a small smile he tugged Louis against him for a hug.
"Why didn't you say that when we went to the jail?"
Sure the story wasn't super believable, but it wasn't an outright impossibility.
"I'm sure they'll investigate what happened, but for now..."
Lessander tossed his little brother onto his back and promptly began tickling!
They needed a bit of stress relief, so he was gonna tickle his brother till he nearly pees!

Olivia doesn't do much either.
Just some black pants and a blue button up.
Okay and her badge...and holster- no gun though.
Had to leave that shit at the precinct.
"Don't cause me trouble today- not that I think you would, but just...
You know, just don't try to.
We both know I can cap your ass no problem."
Doubt she would though- don't need to get in trouble and fired, you know.
"And did you remember the sunscreen, my pale friend who turns crispy bacon in a tiny bit of sun?"
Oh yes, the almighty sunscreen.

"I couldn't say it because I just wanted things to be over-
LESS THAT'S EVIL!"
And the rest was lost in bouts of giggles.
Hopefully he won't piss himself though because that would be bad and gross.
Meanwhile downstairs~
"Okay, Zile... Zile, baby, seriously, the fuck is going on?
Zack calls, you bail, and when I get home, there's police cars pulling into the driveway.
That shit was scary, Zile... I thought Zack was trying to put me back in jail... So what happened? What did I miss?"
Obviously Zack hasn't told Greg anything and Zack already went home.

Jax paled slightly as he headed towards the bathroom.
After some quick digging he grinned and held up a bottle.
"Found it!"
With a bit of vampire speed he got himself covered in sunscreen, but bleh!
He HATED the smell humans chose for it.
It was like they made it especially to show that you were a tourist and squeezed some type of nasty in the bottle.
Well, it didn't smell nearly as strong to humans, but still, yuck!
"Alright, let's go.
I need some air before this stuff makes me puke."
Heh, he'd probably get killed for throwing up blood on her floor.

Zile was now silently cursing Zack for not helping to explain.
Useless relatives!
Or almost relatives!
With a tired grumble he ran his fingers through his hair and sighed.
"Alright, well, Louis killed one of Zack's children. I'm not sure about what happened, but I'm going to talk with him again tomorrow."

"We'll be talking with the judge soon, and you'll tell the truth, please?
For me?
I wanna keep my baby brother around.
You mean the world to me, and if you didn't do it, then I will make sure that you aren't charged.
But we need you to tell the real truth."
And yes, the tickling had stopped so he could speak without all the screaming.

You mocking her strawberry scented sunscreen?
Well... Seeing how Jax is a guy, you are excused.
"It's not that bad." said Olivia with a shrug, walking out the door.
Onward to the car- which thankfully was parked in the shade for the moment.
And as soon as Jax was in the car, she was speeding away to work-
Speed demon characters I do make.
Except for Louis, he's going to be the responsible one.
Zack was for a while but not so much now.
So yeah... Work.

"Wait...He killed one of Zack's kids? Zack has more than one?
When the fuck did that happen- hold up." Greg held up a hand as he checked his phone because Zack had texted him.
"...Zack said it was Carlisle's kid, not his kid. Damn it, I was hoping for another nephew."
He looked back at Zile. "So he killed a kid and lemme guess, the Order is going to do something bad to him?"
As if labeling him as a felon wasn't bad enough... Though seeing how Greg is a former felon, he doesn't see being called one as bad.

Louis stared at Les for a few moments, trying to catch his breath.
"...I'll tell them... But I don't think it will make any difference.
I have no evidence for the doppelganger, which, believe me, is very hard to get.
But I promise I will tell them... for you and only for you. I don't think I would last long without my big brother around."
That said, Louis pushed himself up and hugged Lesander in a sincere and fullhearted fashion.
"Just promise me that no matter what happens, you won't do something stupid."

Yes, absolutely mocking the yucky smelling sunscreen.
It smells like yuck, not strawberries!
When he sat down in the car he quickly clicked his seatbelt on while she sped off.
Darn lady was nuts!
It was nearly impossible for him to die in a car accident but she was a cop and human!
Not the best thing to speed!
"You uh...may wanna slow down.
Don't want you getting a ticket from yourself."
Okay, he was just being a smartass, but really, speeding's bad, mmk?

Damnit my memory is so terrible!
"Er, right, Carlisle. Damn stress is killing me.
They want to take Louis away forever."
He was pacing now, totally spazzing out about losing one of his boys.

Lessander sighed with relief when Louis promised to tell.
That's what he had needed to hear.
"Heh, you? I would be a mess without my little pyro."
He returned the hug with just as much enthusiasm, if not more.
"Heh. Me? Do something stupid?
Just everyday...but I promise, I'll do my best not to do anything dumb."
The only thing he could think about doing if things went bad was to steal his little brother and disappear.
He wouldn't let Louis stay in prison for something he didn't do.
Wait!
"They have lie detector machines! You can prove you're innocence with one of those!"

"I've already gotten two tickets this month from myself-
So don't try to convince me it is a bad idea to speed with the risk of a ticket."
It was an agreement she had with her district boss person-
She gets to speed so long as she doesn't kill anyone and if she gives herself a ticket once a week.
She pulled to a stop in the precinct's parking lot and hopped out of the car, already heading to the building.
Olivia waits for no man-
Or vampire, werewolf, witch, or other thing of the like.
Now women and children, she'll wait for simply because she relates with one and adores the other.
Sexist? Maybe, but at least she was nice to Jax.

"Forever? Why the bloody hell would they take him forever?
I've been to jail and child killers are only put in there for ten years at the very least...
The order is fucked up, man, fucked up... I ain't letting them take out kid."
Greg crossed his arms, mind already made up on the matter... meaning he's probably going to do something stupid- again.

"...Really? Lie detector machines?
Less, they have spell casters- pretty sure they did away with the lie detector machines a long time ago.
But yes, there is still that... However, they would probably accuse me of holding back information...
But that would just be a short trip to juvenile.
In comparison to life in trouble, I think I could handle juvenile for a bit."
Oh great, he sounds like the makings of a mini-Greg.
Someone stop him thinking that nonsense like really soon...
Or he will be a jailbird for a long time.
And regret it.

Wait, she gave herself tickets?
"You're...a little nuts, aren't you?"
I mean, if you're the cop you shouldn't need to give yourself tickets!
It was interesting that she didn't technically abuse her power though...without paying for it.
Jax began to get out of the car but Olivia looked like she was literally running for the building.
"How come you never run like that when I need you?!"
Probably because he was a vampire and a guy...and could (mostly) take care of himself.
Either way, Jaxton's form blurred before he appeared next to Olivia with a big smile.
"I am at your service today, m'lady."

"Greg, don't do something stupid! Please!
I love you and all that, but let us try to handle this."
He had a feeling he may have to tie Greg up.
"Lessander is talking with Louis, let's just wait and see what they come up with."

"Well then we'll take you to a spell caster.
If you go to juvi for lying it's still a hell of a lot better than jail."
Less had to take a breath to keep himself somewhat calm as he hugged his brother to his chest.
Yes, whether he liked it or not.
His nose nuzzled into Louis' hair before he sighed and relaxed a little.
"I won't let them take my baby brother.
They'll see the truth, we'll prove it."
Leaning back a little, he grinned and pressed a kiss to his brother's forehead.

"First off, everyone thinks I'm a bit nutty so yeah, I'm nutty.
Second off, speedster, I don't have to run like that when you need me.
And lastly, I need you to sign in as a career shadow or people will kick you out if I am busy doing something else."
Olivia said this whilst directing him to a reception like desk.
She greeted the lady there while pulling out the career shadow sign in sheet-
Which she handed to Jaxton.
"Don't pick fights, everyone is your boss when you're my shadow, but if they tell you to do something you know is wrong, don't do it."
She patted the vampire on the head before scampering off to get coffee no doubt.

"I make no promises, hot stuff.
You know how I am, I'm always looking for trouble even when trouble isn't wanted."
But Greg gave Zile a hug and nice kiss before smiling at him.
"And no doubt our boys will come up with a brilliant idea because they're brilliant like you."

Louis hid his face against Less' chest after his forehead was kissed.
"Like other times where you say stuff like that...
I hope you're right."
Poor kid still had his doubts but he reminded himself that doubts never bode well.
"Should we tell Father and Dad about our idea?
Or keep it a dramatic surprise for the hearing?"
That would be funny if they did because then there would be that loud 'objection' and stuff.
Just saying.

"Wait...do everything they say but if something sounds wrong, don't do it?"
What exactly was supposed to be so bad that he didn't do it?!
Wasn't this just an office building for cops?
Well, since miss coffee already walked off, best to just sign the sheet and zip the lip.
Jax appeared behind her a moment later, taking the cup of coffee from Olivia's hands.
"This stuff is seriously gonna mess you up.
Might be why you're so out of it in the morning.
Whatever happened to a healthy breakfast and cold water?"

Okay, someone was sucking up...but that kiss was nice.
"True, I'm sure Louis will figure something out and Less will help.
They are like twins sometimes...hard to get them apart."
You have no idea...

"I have a feeling you'd proffer to wait.
I'm sure you'd like to make the most out of your awesome idea and telling them early would mess up the awesomeness a little."
He had a point, and if he knew his baby brother at all, he was right.
"Let's get some rest, hm?
Probably gonna have to be up early to get to there on time."
With a chuckle he flopped over into bed, pulling Louis on top of him.
"I'm gonna make sure you stay free of that nasty place.
The worst my little brother will get is juvi, and I'll visit every day if that happens."

Olivia made a pouting face and tried to get her coffee back.
"Dude, if I want coffee, I'll have stupid coffee!
So give that back or I'm sending you to work in the mail room!"
Yes, they have a mail room.
Why wouldn't they?
Actually, don't answer that because they probably aren't suppose to have one.
She still wanted her coffee back so I would give it back before she starts kicking butt.
"And my smoothies are perfectly healthy!
They even had fresh fruit."

"Twins? Yeah right.
More like a married couple who are persistent on knowing what the other is doing."
Hey, that was also spot on, even if the boys weren't married.
"Speaking of which... Which one came out of the closet first?"

"I still don't like the sound of juvi-
It has creeps like Dad, you know, in the trouble making ways of things.
Also, their food? Bland and crappy, like their 'uniforms.'"
As if Louis would know that... Probably was told by a kid at school, no doubt.
But, with that said, Louis curled up against his brother like a cat.
"I dun wanna get up early... even if for court..." he mumbled.
He didn't say much after that as he was physically drained for today's events. Phew.

"Isn't it illegal for a police unit to have their own mailing unit?
You're supposed to have it delivered."
Though he did hand the drink back under fear of being locked in there.
Mail never sounded fun...
"Okay, what do you want me to do here besides sort mail?
You said everyone was my boss but half of these people just look like they're falling asleep."
What? It was true!
Every cop in the place looked like they needed a serious gallon of coffee.
At least five if comparing to Olivia's consumption.

"U-Uh...I have no clue actually.
I'd think it would be Lessander but Louis...he thinks of things I would never.
Maybe they just kinda did it together."

Never thought Louis could get tired.
He always seemed mentally insane and well, awake.
"Maybe I should just carry you all the way to the courthouse in your pajamas?"
Not that he minded doing that.
Well, he was kind of protective and letting others see his little brother in his PJ's?
"Okay, maybe I'll dress you as you sleep and then carry you there."
That sounded much better!
