Enoeta: A planet said to so entirely golden in colour that its moon takes on the same tint
111766-bigthumbnail.jpg

People have grown up with a story about a band of ruthless pirates that cleaned planets of their riches for their own selfish reasons. They raided homes for every shiny piece of treasure they could find, dug up buried chests and even pursued mines for what materials were left in the tunnels. Their many stolen riches and cutthroat nature gained them a lot of infamy, which was exactly what they hoped for. Like many other pirates, they weren't entirely sure what to do with the treasure once they had it… Everything was stashed on an abandoned planet named Enoeta. Few ventured to Enoeta because of its tiresome distance; only pirates are truly fit to reach it. The mass of doubloons has made the planet give off a golden glow, causing some adventurers to mistake it for a distant sun and turn back.

An individual who's not as popular in the pirate world has landed her ship, Onyx, at a planet called Zor. The inhabitants of this planet are a mix of races that can no longer return home for one reason or another. It's the next best thing for those who were banished or their planet suffered horrible casualties from war or environmental problems. Unfortunately, Zor is being plagued with poverty. This came to Captain Lydia's attention as she needed a crew and they needed wealth to rebuild their ignored society.

Lydia's proud ship floats calmly by the air dock of a town on the planet, sparkling clean and prepared for an exhibition to Enoeta. They stand side by side in front of the ramp with a book and a pen where you sign your name. The news has been carried throughout Zor and they intend to stay just for this day. If you're looking to help feed your family—or your town as a whole—then come aboard the Onyx for a life changing experience.

Genre: Fantasy/Sci-Fi
Rating: ARR…I mean, R. For lots of violence, some horror, bad language and possible sexual themes.
Accepting characters?: Yes! And after the boat leaves Zor, I close things up. After that, anyone sad about not being on the ship could be an antagonist that would more than likely die. XD

HISTORIC BACKGROUND

General History:

Present Life:

Special Historic Notes:

RACES:

Humans: Still the most common creatures to this day. They inhabit several planets that are constantly at war with one another, many still uncertain of the reason. Humans that have grown tired of the fighting or no longer have a place to live went to Zor for a new life, offering their skills to others, like teaching English, making food and transporting Human goods.

Bipeds: Essentially, humanoids with animal features. Some look more human, some look more animalistic. They are considered aliens to the human beings, even though a lot of them are able to speak the same language. Many planets covered with forests, snow and ice or sand home these creatures. Those that have turned to Zor were banished from their Native planets for either being different or committing a crime. If not that, Human civilizations have taken over their homes. Bipeds from the ice planets are entirely covered with fur and bugs can also be bipeds.

Insomniacs: A planet called Insomnia shelters a race of aliens that rarely sleep. It's always dark and their very intelligent minds have them perfecting and creating technology that only they know how to use. Their skin is always a dark colour and how many arms they have varies on the family's genetics; none have more than six. Their two eyes are usually yellow with no visible irises, their teeth are incredibly sharp and they walk on two legs like a Human. They aren't very social creatures, but those who've had to go to Zor wanted a different routine. Some have left their comfort zone and are trying to make a living with other strangers.

Elementals: These figures take on the form of a human but can shift into animals as well. Lightning elementals have blue skin but turn into pure lightning when they shift into the form of a bird. Fire elementals have black skin and turn into pure fire when they shift into the form of a wolf. Earth elementals have gray skin that turns rock solid when in the form of a bear. Lastly, the water elementals have a pale green skin tone and they turn to water that forms the shape of a dolphin.
Elementals on Zor are more than likely escaped slaves of Humans or Insomniacs that wanted their naturalness for experiments or a resource. Although they are scarred from being captured, the Elementals are learning to trust again since everyone has to pull together to survive on Zor.

Others: Tell me if you have something else in mind. I hope my weird variety of options pleases you. XD

Note: Feel free to just make up a home planet name so you can properly fill out the character sheet. But your current home would be Zor.

PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS

General Appearance:
Corsairmk.jpg

Lydia was born with butterfly wings. Wings hide in her coat and the antennae blend into her hair. Also, ignore the dragon.
Strengths:
- Quick and light on her feet
- Good swordsmanship and experienced with guns to a certain degree
- As a captain, she has great leadership skills and knows how to motivate a crew
- As a last resort, her charms can be put to good use
Weaknesses:
- Should her skills fail her, it does not take much for Lydia to be physically beaten down
- Zaydin very well counts as a weakness. Although they've had an off and on relationship, he means the world to her.
- She suffers from claustrophobia
- Lydia is very attached to her ship. She will die along with her ship like any true Captain would!

MENTAL CHARACTERISTICS

Current Goal/Purpose:
To find Enoeta
Talents:
Aside from her fighting skills, she has abilities that come with her being a butterfly. She has an unusually long and thin tongue that can serve as another arm, granted the object isn't too heavy. Weird, huh? Also, her antennae can heighten her sense of smell if she uses them.
Inabilities:
She may have wings, but she cannot fly because they've been severely damaged over the years. If she doesn't find warmth in a freezing environment, she will slowly start to die.
Fears:
Small spaces, being put in a cage/prison, losing her closest friend(s)
General Personality:
Lydia is one of the roughest, toughest women to ever sail the skies. She shows no sadness and says that tears are for the weak. Her past has turned her into a courageous woman that takes a lot of risks to get what she desires and she lives life to the fullest. She also has a passion for stories and poetry that she at times includes into her speeches.
Inner Personality:
Beneath that tough outer shell, she truly is an empathetic person. Even though she never took interest in harassing places like other pirates, she is still a pirate and therefore fears being captured. Being far away into the depths of space helps her feel safe and it also makes her feel alive and free. She may be a wild woman but she has a peaceful side that no one's usually exposed to.
Secret:
She's always wanted to have children. Sadly, the life of a pirate is not the best for a baby.

HISTORIC BACKGROUND

General History:
Lydia hatched from in egg in the middle of a forest on her planet. No parents could be seen and predators were watching her closely from a short distance. The child cried for a long time because she was hungry and cold, which attracted the attention of a human searching the forest for food. This human was a scout for a group of pirates that crash landed on Dortox.

Fortunately for Lydia, this scout was one of the kinder shipmates. He took the baby girl in his arms, wrapping his coat around her after closely examining her unusual features; she had a pair of butterfly wings and antennae that drooped in her face. The sight made him smile as he pushed the two antennae back, hastily taking her to the ship to ask his Captain for permission to parent the girl.

The other pirates were hesitant at first because they'd be housing what was technically a wild animal. She still seemed to harmless, so they kindheartedly agreed to pitch in and take care of their new member they named Lydia. When she was old enough, she was given responsibilities and declared an official member of their pirate crew. These pirates meant everything to her! It was one big family where she'd call some of them brothers, uncles, or grandfathers depending on their age. The only Father to her was Nate: the scout that found her.

The years aged all the pirates and it came down to Lydia being alone on the ship with the Captain. When she was only seventeen years old, she cried at her Father's grave and was given the Onyx after promising her Captain to continue her journeys. It was his dream to find Enoeta; now the dream is hers.

Lydia's only beloved and only true friend is her current First Mate. He helped stabilize her ship after being betrayed by the people she thought she could trust. They sailed alone for the longest time so Lydia could recover from what happened and so she could heal the injuries done to her wings from a brutal fight she got into on a human owned planet. It's an experience she never likes to talk about and even spared some of the details to Pryde. Since she could no longer fly, it put her into a deep depression for some months.

The years of losing people that were close to her and being disenchanted by people she thought she could trust turned her into a bitter person, but she'll privately show compassion to others, which is what drew her attention to Zor. She had a dream to find and they had a planet to bring back to life.

Present Life:
Lydia is ready to sail the skies again and is eagerly (though not visibly) employing a new crew.

Special Historic Notes:

Would you mind if I made a race of bio-synthetic creatures, kinda like those weird...things from Metal Gear Solid Four? I'm thinking he'd be a bit of an odd fellow who's not actually a part of Lydia's crew, but just kinda hangs out with them because to him, they're pretty cool guys and he's just like that.

Like, someone they meet along the way maybe? I figured you'd want to do something like that, Irae. :P And that's fine.

Nah, more like some dude who you could say is a friend, but an incredibly inconsistent one. He just sudddenly appears for no real reason at all aside from "Oh I was bored" or "free day for me today" and basically tags along for the kicks.

GENERAL CHARACTER STATISTICS

Character Name: Marcin Kroylittzivec
Gender: Male
Species/Race: Necross

[Bipedal, partially biological, partially cybernetic beings who live far, far away from most other species. Although they have come into conflicts with other species before, they for the most part are rather quiet and self-sufficient and bear little hostilities towards others. Technically they don't have a definite physical form, but they get to ultimately choose what they'll look like. Some look like floating spheres with long claws, other large insects, but most choose a sort of humanoid form.]

Age: 25

Birthplace/World: Artificial Necross world - Calun

Pirate Role: "That dude who just kind of appears and then dissappears" (Not actual "official" part of the crew; just a friend who wanders in here and there to help, often dissappearing suddenly, thus making him inconsistent as hell)

More:
Has his own ship.

PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS

General Appearance: This + This + This + This . He's roughly 7'' and is grey-silver-red-black, although he can change his color if he needs to.

Strengths: Strong as shit, strangely calming aura, good fighter (experienced with a variety of weaponry, melee and projectile), durable body with some parts with great regnerative properties, can survive in a variety of harsh environments, great engineer, and shreds like a maniac on a guitar.

Weaknesses: Only some parts of himself can regenerate (others he has to repair manually), EMP is especially effective against him, rather intimidating (hard to be comfortable around something as weird as him walking around), difficult to find/synthesize certain repaire components, if just some of his settings are off he can get screwed over horribly by certain environmental conditions and weaponry.

More:

- Currently living in exile, although he has snuck back into Necross space quite a few times.
- Hitchikes a lot, although he does have his own modified ship, which looks like these two mixed together.
- He can speak English, French, and some strange noisier languages of various races from the outer areas far beyond human controlled space.
- Self-taught guitar player. Big fan of ancient human musical groups, including Univers Zero, Manilla Road, Discharge and old Celtic Frost.
- If he needs to, he can generate a sort of invisible, intangible field around himself that allows him to target enemies all around him, although he can't do this for very long.
- Can change his accent very easily.

MENTAL CHARACTERISTICS

Current Goal/Purpose: Tag around Lydia and make himself useful, and hopefully get out of this making himself a reasonable proit.

Talents: Good leadership capabilities, experienced with a variety of alien species and cultures, charismatic, courageous, trustwrothy

Inabilities: Knows little about elmentals or anything magical-like (can't really interact with it), can be a bit overly blunt and aloof, may come off as shady due to his connections with his own kind, doesn't really know too much about the world of Zor or Enoeta,

Fears: Death/loss/suffering of his trusted friends and comrades,

General Personality:
He is a very resolute, head-strong, and confident individual. Tends to value experience and "going off into the unknown" quite highly. Strong bonds with those he's worked with; very loyal and compassionate.

Inner Personality:
Sharp and highly observative, almost suspicious in some ways, but places a lot of trust in certain others while keeping a very sharp eye on those he is less familiar with.

Secret:
Feels in a way seperated from any major culture or people he can really identify and be a part of.

More:
Memorizes a lot of odd factoids about this and that, usually things of seemingly minor importance.

HISTORIC BACKGROUND

General History: A strangely adventurous and aware member of the necross race, he joined their military very early on, but things went a bit overboard after that point. Even though he completed his training with flying grades, he soon went off with a few others, driven by ideology and compassion, to assist one race in fighting against the tyranny of others, with no real authorization. He took the fall for the others and was exiled from his kind, wandering the stars here and there, and eventually bumping into Lydia. He tends to tag around her alot.

Present Life: Still basically wandering the stars, seemingly randomly showing up at Lydia's to help, and then going off to do a variety of work (odd jobs usually) or scouting out somewhere to settle down.

Special Historic Notes: This is the last year of his exile from his kind.

Looks cool, Irae. <3 Welcome aboard~ It will be interesting to see how his disappearing and reappearing effects everyone. :P

General Character Statistics

Character Name: Alouette Rowan
Gender: Female
Species: Fire Elemental/Human Hybrid
Age: 26
Birthplace: Dorren, a primarily Human world.
Role: Ship's Cook
More: The Widow of Nathanial Rowan, the famous gambler.

General Characteristics

General Appearance:
portrait_of_a_girl_III_by_lolita_art.jpg

Strengths: General domestics, with ominous undertones. Brave, bordering on agressive, sure footed, fast with a knife and experianced with a wide array of poisons, potions, and pultices... She is also immune to being hurt by fire, being a half blood elemental. She can't transform but she when she's angry her hair sometimes turns into flame.
Weaknesses: She's got a temper, so sometimes she doesn't think through to the consequences of her actions. And she's on the petite side, barely weighing 115 lbs, and while she's stronger than she looks, she's no match for an average sized man.

Mental Characteristics

Goals: Pay off her husband's debts and buy out the rest of her contract.
Talants: She's a damn good cook and can get any stain out of anything, and she knows her cooking knives like they're a part of her, and can wield them as naturally, inside or outside the kitchen.
Fears: More than anything, she is terrified of falling in love again. Men have ruined her life every time she's turned around- she's done with love.
General Personality: Alouette is typical of the so-called 'firey personality'. Quick to anger but equally quick to warm back up to a person. She can come across as a bit gruff, but she gets attatched easily...
Secret: She doesn't tell people she is half blood elemental if they can't figure it out for themselves.

Historical Background

General History: She was sold as a young child into indentured servitude, to work in the kitchens of a prominent Human family as an apprentice to their cook. Their youngest son, the good hearted but somewhat flighty Nathanial Rowan, talked her into marrying him, and while she did love him, will always love him, he was a terrible husband. Even as wealthy as his family was he couldn't, by law, cancel her contract he could buy it out, but not being able to buy her from his parents with their own money, he took up gambling. Unfortunately, he was a lousey gambler. He died in an honest accident, but his parents had no choice but to sell her along again to get the collectors off their case. Alouette has been passed through several employers, some better than others, but each time she's sold the price on her contract goes up. It's frustrating.

Present Life: She's spent the last two years in the employ of a Tavernkeep, cooking professionally- or at least on a larger scale. He's a fool, but he's a kindly old sort of fool who counts her work against her contract heavily. She's managed to halve her price in his Kitchens. Unfortunately... He's a gambler too.

Special Historical Notes: I was thinking the Captain or someone might win her in a card game.

GENERAL CHARACTER STATISTICS

Character Name: Zayin Pryde
Gender: Male
Species/Race: Human
Age: 34
Birthplace/World: New Corsica
Pirate Role: First Mate
More: Pronounced "Zay-in." Goes by Z or Zay in private.

PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS

General Appearance:

Height: 6'1"
Weight: 190 lbs.
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Brown

View attachment 1774
Strengths: Physically adept and martially capable due to a life of military experience. Was Captain of the Combat Team at the Academy, so his martial talents are well above average. He is remarkably resilient to pain and enjoys staying in shape. Additionally, he can hold his breath for 10 minutes (or so he claims).
Weaknesses: He has a bum knee from an old injury. His strength and durability, while top notch, is only as great as a human can be. He has no cybernetics of any kind, opting out of using them.
More:

MENTAL CHARACTERISTICS

Current Goal/Purpose: While he has a degree of avarice compared to other pirates, he mainly wishes to serve aboard a (mostly) noble vessel and to serve Lydia to the best of his ability.
Talents: Zayin has a strong tactical military mind, having served on previous vessels with outstanding performance. A majority of his career consisted of serving as a Weapons Officer before being given his own Command. Zayin is also of sturdy constitution, both physically and mentally, and often offers companionship and advice. While he can show a prudent side when it comes to engaging combat, Zayin rarely shies away from it. Rather, he would choose engage on his own terms.
Inabilities: Opening himself up to others. He's quick to open his ears and offer advice to other crew members, but he in turn will never reveal himself to them. At least, not willingly. The only person he would begin to think of sharing with is the Captain.
Fears: Failure. To fail himself, or his Captain. Losing a battle or ship isn't failure; to Zayin, failure is not recognizing your goal.
General Personality: A bit of a stick in the mud, Zayin is all business. While a passionate man, he rarely shows this side of himself, instead opting to remain the sturdy pillar of whichever vessel he serves aboard. He rarely shows himself engaging the type of entertainment other crew members might, and his only display of any hint of a personality is a bit of a sarcastic streak.
Inner Personality: Zayin is a man of passions, loving and hating to great depths. It's taken a lifetime to overcome the depths of his emotions and maintain a stoic face, and he takes great pride over this control. Only a single woman has been able to break his stoic mask: his current Captain, a woman he's served for many years now.
Secret: Everything about him is unknown to the crew at large, except Lydia, who knows most of his past. She also knows how to press his buttons.

HISTORIC BACKGROUND

General History: Planet Corsica was ravaged through war by a power-hungry planetary neighbor. Unable to stave off the tide of invasion, millions of native Corsicans fled to a nearby system that was being surveyed to become the first Corsican colony. Instead, it became their new home world.

With the restructuring of the Corsican Military, new thoughts of strategy and tactics were devised in response to how terribly they were beaten. Incidentally, new society and culture was structured and built in order to maintain military independence and dominance.

A product of this New Corsican military thinking, Zayin is the second-oldest of a large, proud family. His childhood was simple and, while his parents loved him, his father and grandfather drove him to become a pillar of excellence in representing their family at the Corsican Military Academy. As a result, Zayin excelled, graduating in the Top 10% of his class.

Zayin served aboard two separate vessels before being given his own command. The first he was a Junior Tactical Officer of a battleship, and served with distinction. The next ship he served aboard, he was XO of a destroyer, again serving with distinction. During a battle with the Corsican age-old enemy, the destroyer took heavy damage and suffered massive casualties. Following the refit and repairs, Zayin was named CO of the vessel.

And then his career ended.

Suffering from depression for a long time after, Zayin was picked up in a down-and-out bar by Pirate Captain Lydia to serve aboard her vessel. Needing deckhands of all kinds, and being somewhat desperate, she hired him despite his first impression being "drunkard." He served her well enough (despite not working to the best of his ability), but all of that changed during their first voyage.

Her then First Mate, a cruel and greedy man, attempted a mutiny. Zayin had no love for the man, and all of the respect he needed to support Lydia, and led the insurrection aboard the vessel. Helping Lydia secure the ship once again, he was given immediate promotion to her First Mate with the broad orders: "Get me operational."

A spark ignited with him, and his calm and cool demeanor that had worked for him so well in the past coalesced around him once more. He was an officer again. Perhaps not in the military, but he was serving aboard a vessel once more. He was using his skills. And, incidentally, he found a lover in Lydia.

But they were like water and oil, fire and ice. Their relationship has been a storm of a kind, barely spilling out amongst the crews they've hired, but still being something of a social sore point on their ships. For years, they've been on-again, off-again, splitting apart over seemingly nothing, and joining once more over things just as small.

Despite their rocky, tumultuous relationship, Zayin sees no reason to leave her side.

Present Life: Captain Lydia's First Mate. He has no other goal in life than to make hers a reality.

Special Historic Notes: The reasons for his career ending remain a mystery.

Got it hang on... didn't wanna play another girl but I'm likin what ideas I'm getting.

Haha, glad you decided on someone. <3 I like her! The idea of winning her in a card game is actually kinda cool. xD
My lady's about to be finished. Tuesdays are busy days for me so I've got a list of things to do for Iwaku now that homework is done.

When can we expect the IC to be up?

In a few days, hopefully. I want to give people a chance to enter more characters. I'll be less busy later in the week.

Thank you, Seiji. <3 Mine's finally done, sorry people. I need more peoplez... But I'll work on the IC when I can!

Thank you, Ocha. :3 I'll start the IC soon after Ocha makes her character. Still open for characters in the meantime!
