Dred couldn't help but laugh at the Schenor's words. " The force? Look what the force has done to the galaxy. Thank's to your force the whole galaxy is enslaved by sadistic psychopaths." He opened his eyes and gave the Schenor a hard glare. " The force is nothing but a tool for power hungry Shabuir to dominate normal people." He snorted in derision. " It would be better if the force didn't even exist. It would have saved the lives of millions of people."

Xevran was slightly taken aback by the man's words. Had he expected skepticism, haughtiness, dismissal? Yes. He had not expected outright condemnation however.
"The force and life are inexorably linked, one cannot exist without the other. For thou to condemn the force as an evil, thou must also condemn all life that has ever been and will ever be. While force doth manifest in the darkest corners of the galaxy, so to does it offer the grandest light of the stars. Much as in life, thou must accept both parts to appreciate and understand it."
Xevran's tone was not of an elite talking down to someone who was not enlightened, but rather as that of a teacher. As he saw it, it was his duty to teach this man what the force truly meant. Best he could tell, the warrior only saw the force as some kind of weapon or tool, not the full extent of its reach.

Dred snorted conemtpously." You can preach all you want "sage" but what do you have to say of the massacre at Odryn? The Sith invaded my homeworld and slaughtered most of my people. And what did the Jedi do? Sit on their collective asses and meditate. The republic had to hire the Mandalorians to fight your battles for you so don't talk to me about light and dark cause it's all the same to me when it comes to your flaunted force." It was clear that Dred was on the edge of rage. The tempers of his species were well known and Dred despite his impressive self control was slowly giving in. This was obviously a deep wound for him that hadn't and might never heal.

Even without the aid of the force, Xevran could feel the rage of his cell-mate rolling through the area like waves. Whatever had occurred at Odryn had left a scar upon this man's pscyhe that was still fresh in his mind.
"If this one has offended you, then he does apologize. This one cannot speak to the matter of Odryn, for this one was not there, nor knows what the order had to say of the matter. Were that there were enough Jedi throughout the galaxy that every disaster could be averted--this one is sorry that is not the case."
Xevran was trying to be as delicate as possible with the matter. He could not offer the mercenary information that he did not have, but he wished to do everything possible to avoid a confrontation. It was the last thing anyone here needed right now.

The harsh tones between the two were not helping Il'lana's calm. In fact, it was making things worse. And if a fight broke out between these two, she was going to end up in the center of it.
"Cool it, Fluffy and Tentacles. I'm not dealing with this at the moment. Don't particularly care what your pasts are. All I care about is getting back home. Or...what's left of it."
She had no idea what the Sith were going to do to her home world. Rounding up the Force users could only be a prelude to something more. Perhaps the destruction of balance between light and darkness was what the Emperor sought. Her world was proof that light and darkness could survive together.

A deep growl came from Dred's throat and he glared at the girl in front of him. He closed his eyes gaining control of his anger, shooting a glare at Xevran he sat down on his bunk and layed down. The furred alien's constant calm was absolutely infuriating. He wished the Schenor would fight him. He was getting frustrated in this place. He longed for a good fight and debated cracking some Sith heads in the 'yard' later. One thing he knew for sure though. As irritating as his cellmates were he would need them to get off this ship. And the first thing he was going to do when he was freed would be to blow this ship into oblivion.

The tip of Xevran's tail twitched at the close of the exchange--the only sign of any discomfort at the current situation. Both of his cellmates were wearing his emotions on their sleeves, which made interpreting what they said very easy, but ensuring a calm atmosphere almost impossible. The man bowed his head to Il'lana for a moment once the conflict had passed.
"This one apologizes young miss, and promises thou shall find a way back home."
While escape from such a place was seemingly impossible, Xevran had always kept his senses open. Even with the force torn away from his senses, it did not remove the natural gifts of his race. All it would take was a moment's lapse by any number of those in positions of power here, and for him to be ready. He had promised himself that he would not be caught unprepared during that moment.
