[padding][spacer]Antoine was born into the relatively wealthy Alduino family, and from a young age he understood his family acted different from those he saw at school. Even the other wealthy families, many of which he disliked from a young age without yet understanding why, did not live so frivolous or make decisions just for a quick profit. His father, Kenneth, often would sell off branch stores just to go on a vacation, to which Antoine enjoyed, but Kenneth was very verbal about how he came into his sudden burst of money, and that "how" never made sense to Antoine. As he continued to grow up, from a toddler to a pre-teen, his understanding of these things grew greater and greater, and he understood the type of family he came from. He understood that his parents and their siblings were nothing more than spoiled brats—almost all of them.
Antoine spent his teenage years developing a sense of identity that was, essentially, the exact opposite of his parents'. While he could have paid for most of his private schooling and eventually college out of pocket, Antoine earned his place in classes through scholarships and an insane work ethic solely to spite his parents. Not that they cared. Antoine did this for himself. Antoine did everything for himself and the only person he grew up trying to prove anything to was himself. He constantly pushed himself harder and harder, farther and farther until he was so ahead of the curve that his peers often hated him. Even still, Antoine didn't care. He didn't exactly grow up in a "loving" home and people, as he grew up, tended to be tools for him. That favorite teacher? She was just a name on a reference list. That brilliant professor? He was just a stepping stone for Antoine into the world of academia.
At age 24, Antoine finished out his Masters in Business Administration with degree programs for entrepreneurship, economics and business technology all under his belt. Antoine used all of this information to spend the next two years taking over his father's businesses and improving them to such degrees that they swamped their competition. Soon enough, he offered his services to the rest of his family, promising profits and even offering a down-payment as a sort of wager. In just two years, Antoine jumped right out of college and took a chokehold on his family fortune, nearly tripling their net worth, but also creating a rift in the family. While the older members of the family were proud of his accomplishments and thought he would be the "savior of the Alduin", the younger siblings of the previous generations and his cousins absolutely resented him.
It was for this purpose that they literally tried to have him killed. The most spoiled generation from a family of former criminals. Who would have guessed? In any case, Antoine took a large sum of money and fled after a failed attempt at his life and a gunshot wound. Antoine was rejected by his petulant family, ungrateful for his work and unfaithful to the Alduino cause. He burned with begrudging passion to cause their ruin. To cause them pain. To destroy them. His greatest desire is to make them wish they never tasted wealth because if his will comes to fruition they never will again. This desire, this grudge, this passion, this dramatic taste for vengeance brought him to Hecate, where the competition was offered for a spot among the Gods. With that kind of power, what would take Antoine a lifetime to do would become a wistful and divine effort.
