Kioshi remembered something that he'd never got to do earlier.

"Actually, I'm gonna go into town," he grabbed Razor and a black book from his bag to put in his satchel. He left Kiss on his bed. "I gotta go look...something up...and I'm gonna grab a few things."

With razor slung on his back and his satchel sling as well, Kioshi started to make his way out of the school to go did a blacksmith, he was still curious about Raelyn's engraving on her sword.

An hour or two of writing had passed before Raelyn became bored. Stretching out her legs and yawning, she managed to knock over her water glass that was sitting on her windowsill.

"Crap!" She scrambled for something to clean the spill up with and decided that maybe going for a walk was a good idea.

Grabbing her sword from her desk, her journal in her other hand she left her dorm and headed to the entrance of the school.

Kioshi made it through the barrier that surrounded the school. Outside was a desolate wasteland for about a mile until the closest town. As a human, Kioshi felt alone, but he knew there was something watching him. He continued walking toward the town in the distance, the only sound being that of the cold wind and his lonely footsteps shuffling through the powdery snow beneath his feet.

After about 20 meters, Kioshi heard what sounded like whispers behind him, when he turned a dark figure disappeared behind a rock.

"That's it." He pulled the blck book from his bag and chanted a spell to summon Kiss from his dorm room. After that, he used his last enchantment stone to fix the weapon. He then shethed it and continued walking toward the town.

Kioshi only made it about 20 more meters before hearing the stamping sound of charging footsteps behind him. He turned with kiss drawn in his left hand, his right hand was cocked back and balled in a fist. Another dark figure collided with him, turning to dust as it hit him. Laughter was the only thing that followed. Kioshi sneezed.

When he looked up, he was met with a vision, a vision of himself.

*Flashback*
Kioshi had been getting picked on for looking like a girl on the recess yard by kids much older then him. Kioshi tried to use a weak magic spell on them to get them away, it was all he knew how to do. When he casted it, it didn't do anything to the bullies.

"Magic is for girls, ma'am!" One of them laughed as another pushed Kioshi to the ground. Third grade was tough for Kioshi.

"Hey! I'm not a freakin' girl!" Kioshi cried back. Right as he stood to punch the bullies, Kyle, his best friend, and Anna, his girlfriend later in life, stepped in front of them.

"That's enough! Leave him alone!" Anna said to the bullies. She used a fear spell to frighten them off.

Kioshi sat down next to Kyle and thanked his friends.

*End Flashback*
Kioshi smiled at the thought of Kyle and Anna, sadly, this brought him to the thought of when Anna killed Kyle and then tried to kill him. Anna had been possessed by the darkness; she still haunts him to this day.

"Kioshi..." Her voice rang as Kioshi sniffled after his sneeze and vision was over.

"Leave me alone!" He swung Kiss at the sound of her voice. He took off running for the town now.

Raelyn wandered down the pathway towards town. The road was a little trecherous, bends leading to dark corners. Her hand instinctively tightened around her swords hilt when she heard others talking.

When she rounded the corner she caught a glimpse of shadow disappearing behind a bolder and her ears swiveled to catch any possible sound. The hair on the back of her neck stood on end when she felt the faint pull of dark magic around her.

"This is going to be interesting..."

- Spade- Stretching, she looked up at the sky. It would be a new moon that night. Surely the darkness would take advantage of a lightless night. She figured anyway, for even though it wasn't evening yet she could feel it in the atmosphere. It seemed no one else took much notice, but she did. She was more sensitive to the darkness and shadows. She sat up now, still siting on one of the highest roof tops of the school. Looking out she could see the town in the distance. Flicking her claws she began tapping her fingers on the roof tile. She was feeling agitated. She couldn't tell if she wanted to play it safe tonight or check things out. She gave off a frustrated hiss and was absorbed in thought again.

Alexander says "ok". She walks away. She goes get something to eat.
