Quirks : I have a bunch. Physical: I blink a lot. It's a nervous tick, I think. I also have this weird tick where I tense up specific muscles numerous times, and as much as I try to stop, I can't. Father : Pretty good relationship with him. Could be a little closer, but it's good enough. He's the only parent that's okay with me drinking with him, so I guess that's a plus.
Mother : Pretty good relationship with her as well. A lot closer with her than with my dad, but I don't tell her (or anyone else for that matter) much anymore.

Step Father: Okay relationship with him. Sometimes I want to rip his head off, but most of the time, we're cool.
Sister: Relationship is fine. It's normal brother and sister stuff I guess; she pisses me off, I piss her off, but we have each other's back.
Grandparents : With the ones that are still alive; I am close to them. My grandma on my mom's side usually annoys us all to no end, however. Grandpa on my dad's side is cool, although he is a tad prejudiced.
Uncles : Pretty good relationship with the ones I talk to often.
Aunts : All good relations with them as well, however there is one on my mom's side of the family I like more than the others.

Strengths
arsenal : I have a few throwing knives, a spring-assist blade, a regular knife, and a ninja star. Looking to expand on that, though.
abilities : I know how to fight. I'm not easily scared (I've been literally down the street from a shoot out and wasn't bothered. Living in the gang capital of Los Angeles kind of helps with that). I'm fairly intelligent as well.
Physical : Although I am slightly overweight, I do have muscle. I'm working on gaining all the muscle I lost when I stopped playing football, and then some. I have a heavy hand, and can hit pretty well. The fat I do have keeps me warmer than most, so I guess that's something good that comes out of that.
Mental : Intelligent. I know how to work out a problem fast and efficiently. I learn fast and usually stay focused on on task when it's given.

Weaknesses
Fears : The deep ocean. Clowns. Being an inadequate father (I am nowhere near having kids, but I still worry about this very often).
Physical : I'm not in shape as I was a few years ago, but I'm working at that, so it shouldn't be a big problem for much longer. That's what I can think of right now.
Mental : I do have a disorder, although it hasn't been professionally diagnosed. I'm extremely stubborn and have not made an appointment to see anyone, so I guess that my stubborn mentality is a weakness as well.

(I don't consider this a weakness, it's at a level where I feel the pro's and con's at the very least balance each other out).

Diagnosed at 3 years old with low functioning Autism at the time, had ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis) Therapy for it until 15 years old where it reached high functioning to a point therapist considered it a full recovery.

Grew up in Ontario Canada, in a relatively well off family. His Dad working at a Petro Canada refinery, his Mother having owned several subway stores until therapy required her to sell it all and become a full-time stay at home Mom.
He grew up arguing with his Mother quite a bit (normally due to the mutual stress of the therapy), but outside of that lived a relatively peaceful, relaxed and normal childhood.

He jumped through a few elementary schools (For autism therapy reasons) but ultimately graduated in the same one he had Kindergarten in. In Grade 3 Gwazi had actually made an appearance in court, because recently before then the Provincial Government promised more funding for Autism Therapy and failed to upkeep the promise. So Gwazi wrote a letter to them expressing disapproval, which had launched him into testifying at a court case ran by Mothers of children with Autism to help force the Government to keep their promise. It won at the first level of court, but then lost at the second level.

From Grade 3 to Grade 5 Gwazi was the victim of bullying from almost the entire school universally, one teacher included. This helped ignite/fuel his realization that not everyone in the world is a good person, but had a side effect of destroyed self-confidence for a time.
But during the year of Grade 5 he got his favourite teacher to this day named Mr. Cann. Who not only made him feel valued and respected as an indivudal, but made him feel accepted, cared for, someone he could connect to, and went out of his way (even when against school rules) to make it so his education and learning was the most beneficial to him possible. He is one of the main inspirations for the kind of educator and adult Gwazi wants to be.

Stayed at the same High School for the same 4 years. During said 4 years Gwazi went through most of his changes in life, including his transition from Christianity to Atheism and the vast majority of his experience with relationships.
He also spent the later 2 years of High School doing a combination of co-op and paid work at an Autism ABA Therapy Center, the same one he spent his last few years of therapy in himself.

He is now in his third year of College, finishing his ECE program to act as a Pre-Requisite to get into the Autism Studies program.

Father : YUP GOT ONE OF THOSE oh you meant like how's our relationship. Well he's a trucking man, so when I was a kid he was home once, maybe twice a month for a couple days at a time and he didn't exactly spend the days playing with us kids. Having dad home was like having company; we had to clean up and have a proper meat-and-taters dinner, and we had to play nicely and keep it down and if he was home on a sunday the whole house sounded like NASCAR. I like my dad, and I love him, but idk, I mostly know him from mom talking about him, even now that he's home more. Father's day cards are really hard for me to write.
Mother : I, like many people of the daughter-type persuasion, have a love-hate relationship with my mom. She's my hero and my first best friend, and she's very talented adn strong and taught me a lot and she's really fun, but.... she's aslo prejudiced and a fundie and closed minded and really negative and acts like a moody teenager sometimes and sheltered me so much as a kid that I had almost NOTHING in common with any other kids I met and therefore had no friends >=(

Grandparents : My oma died last summer :( She had pretty bad alzheimers. I saw her a couple months before, we were chatting to her, and I complimented her nails I said "your nails are very pretty Oma, I like them" and she looked up and there was this moment of clarity where it was like she was actually *there* and she said "Are they pretty?" and then she was gone again :( She tripped and broke her hip and died in hospital later that summer. My Opa is still around though, but he's getting up there :/

Ideals/beliefs: Skepticism & egalitarianism are the guiding, core principles to my life. To always measure every claim by the real world evidence that can be presented with it, and to treat everyone as equals, as capable of intelligence and competence as I am, with the value of people made inherent at a basic level, no matter how much I may dislike them. By these two virtues, all other beliefs are secondary results, rather than core values.

Likes: A great deal of things. Humanity and life is too wonderful and too rich to relegate myself to a small list of things. Refer to the above list of interests for things I like.
Dislikes: Plenty of little, insignificant, petty things. Primarily certain games, or films. I suppose if I had to nail down one primary thing of contention for myself, which I actually consider somewhat important? It's probably feminism. Not all feminists, mind you, I have friends who are perfectly reasonable human beings, that I enjoy speaking with on a regular basis, who are indeed feminists. I just don't like how hate speech, dehumanization, rape accusations, censorship, and even death threats, can be made under its flag and be considered exempt from derision and disgust as a result. Hatred and discrimination should be called out wherever it appears, but if it's a self-proclaimed feminist trodding upon the legacy of their fore-bearers to promote an extremist ideology? It gets a pass in modern society. This is a shameful display. Truly disheartening, honestly, considering it should be an ideology to lift people up, not tear them down.

Relationships​

Father: Very good relations though somewhat distant.
Mother: I pity her paranoid, mentally unstable existence, but I still take her out to dinner once in a while. Even if I know it will end in a rant about "murdering all the muslims" and "all men are rapists."
Sisters: None.
Brothers: One. He and I don't get along and haven't spoken in months. It's probably for the better that way.
Grandparents: Two left alive, though one has succumbed to dementia. They live far from where I live, though.
Uncles: Three left alive. One mentally unstable, another with a history of severe physical health issues. Starting to see a pattern?
Aunts: Two, one is technically my great aunt. I learned a lot from her, like how to put aside thoughts of vengeance. The other one I haven't spoken to in years.
Cousins: Three. Would you be surprised to learn that one of them has a mental disorder? Because I'm not.

Strengths​

Arsenal: A switchblade. That's it, really. Unless my sharp wits count as a weapon.
Abilities: ... Does not being fat count? Because I'm fairly healthy, and work out every morning. Aside from that? Being essentially, mentally unbreakable. I've seen some of the worst life can offer, and where others would probably fall and give up, I keep going. I slipped out of poverty into the lower-middle class, now I just have to stay my course.
Physical: Healthy, very healthy. I have no allergies I can think of, save to penicillin. I'm lean, and working on getting more weight on myself for muscle, but my body seems to fight any attempt I make at increasing my mass without eating complete garbage for food.
Mental: Fairly intelligent and able to grasp new situations quickly, and my skepticism tends to keep me out of most cons, schemes, or troubles, allowing me to focus on the pursuit of truth and knowledge.

Weaknesses​

Fears: I had arachnophobia, though I've worked it down to a mere repulsion rather than abject fear. I do fear losing loved ones, seeing as how I have so few of them left.
Physical: An allergy to penicillin definitely counts, doesn't it. Beyond this and a couple uncomfortable scars, I'm fine.
Mental: I have a mental disorder. It's not severe, I take medications for it, I'm diagnosed by a professional, and I still visit a therapist once a month. Still, this does impede my ability to perform certain human functions, most notably empathy, which impacts my ability to relate to other human beings. I don't go about telling the world typically because I don't want pity for it: Pity is pointless, it won't make it go away, nor will it make me feel better about it considering I don't feel poorly about it in the first place. It's a thing in my bloodline, I'll just be sure to adopt rather than breed if I should ever have children.

History: Here's the abridged version.

• I grew up in poverty throughout most of my childhood where my father had to declare bankruptcy and move us to another province just to survive.
• I suspected having a mental disorder at fourteen, got diagnosed when I was sixteen in high school, and kept it a secret from that point forward. I wasn't able to legally acquire medication to help me with it until I was eighteen. That sure was fun.
• My longest lasting friendship is actually one I made over the Internet. @Tempest is, and always shall be, my friend. Like a Vulcan, but lesbian.
• I have a lot of good memories of my teen years too, despite my mother falling off her rocker, going off meds for a few years, and all the wonderful nutbar abuses that came with it. My dad was a great parent, so I had one, one good parent. My great aunt was also pretty good to me, on the sparse occasions that I saw her.
• Yes, pain this, pain that, blah blah. Everybody's got something. I lived through mine, it doesn't rule over my life anymore.
• I learned how to fight starting with martial arts classes when I was a young teen, after we (the family) had escaped bankruptcy. Then I learned some more practical skills in high school.
• Speaking of High School, I graduated with honours. Neat, eh'?
• I've been role playing since I can recall, with it being some of my oldest memories. It started out as pure escapism, and became a fun hobby over time as my life got better.
