Grand Quest Offline

Raijin mustered what strength he had to try and perform a somewhat difficult maneuver of a spin attack against the two flanking foes. He would discover that this famous LoZ maneuver was much harder than it looked and that Link made it look way to easy. There was a certain technique to performing a move like that, and Raijin clearly did not have it as the first pig-like creature easily parried the spin attack aside. Luckily Caelis rushed forward now to Raijin's aid.

In one hand, a torch. The other, his sword. Instead of using the torch though, he aimed for the eyes of one of the enemies, luckily doing so at the one Raijin had already wounded. It seemed like his theory was right. All he had to do was smack the creature in the face with his burning torch to damage its eyes and that was what he did. The fiery stick hit the creature right in the face, a much harder target to hit than the torso, as he managed to slip past the creature's guard to do so.

While it didn't kill it, the creature clutched its eyes in pain with one of its hands, being blinded and staggered momentarily as it tried its best to brush the hot cinders from its face now, that consuming up its time.

The other creature, seeing Caelis as the much bigger threat, attempted to slash at him with its sword. Unfortunately Caelis was not as good at parrying as Raijin was in this scenario, as the large blade cleaved a gash right in his torso as it slipped past his own guard. His HP bar would drop down 12 points from that slash, as while it wasn't a full on hit, it was still a pretty deep one.

A reward though came from that painful experience as the sword cutting him felt like getting carved with a knife. Essentially it was a very realistic feeling of pain. Granted not as deep as one would feel in real life, but it was still incredibly painful for this obviously tougher than real life character.

A Skill has been unlocked through a Special Action. Through enduring the damage of a physical blow, the ability to better endure physical damage, Physical Endurance, has been created.

This window vanished from the side of Caelis' vision as another one appeared in its place.

Physical Endurance (Lv 1: 0%) (Passive): You are able to tough out physical damage and in doing so have a stronger body. You get +1 Resistance, +5% HP, and +1 HP Regen. To Level: Take Damage, Take Massive Damage, Endure a Fatal Blow, Endure a Critical Strike.

Still, they somewhat had the two enemies on the ropes while the larger one still was just sitting there, not moving at all. The one that got hit by the torch probably wasn't blinded, as it wasn't a good enough hit for that, but was still obviously occupied with getting the hot cinders off of its face and out of its eyes.

Zan was able to get behind the enemy, basically because of the creature's injured leg and it's weapons size. Then he kicked its leg with all his strength. He managed to the Boss's knee, even with his low AGI stat, but not full force. He dealt a small amount of damage. The mob tried to resist falling over, but fortunately it fell over. Even with its superior strength and larger build, but it tripped trying to step back to not fall on its lame leg. While tripping the Boss dropped its weapon. Even though this was a Boss, Zan wasn't having much trouble fighting it. Zan was glad, he decided to solo the quest. One reason being that he got all the loot and XP to himself and second he was killing the Boss in a brutal manner. While the Boss was trying to get back up, he attempted a [Fierce Strike] aiming at its head and neck. Zan felt his newly acquired Skills kick in, especially the [Critical Strike] skill. Even with his Great Axe's size and weight, he was able to hit that "one sweet spot" he trying to hit, while the mob was tying to dodge by rolling. The Boss stopped right in the middle of its rolling as his Great Axe buried itself so deep down in its neck; that a loud clang could be heard as the axe went through its neck, hitting the ground under it. The Boss's eyes went wide, before rolling up into its skull, its body going lifeless. "Yeah!" yelled Zan as he killed the Boss without taking any damage. Then a few windows appeared in his field of vision.
Fierce Strike has gone up in Level by 1.
"I must have received that during the battle," said Zan closing it. Then another window appeared.
Critical Strike went up in Level by 1.
"So that's why I killed it with that one blow to the neck."
Great Axe Adept has gone up in Level by 1.
Fierce Strike has gone up in Level by 1.
Then the one Zan was hoping for the most appeared. Zan felt refreshed as his HP and MP were restored and he felt tougher.
You have gone up in Level by 1.
"Yesss." said Zan as he did a victory dance. In the upper left corner of his vision, his level indicator, just above his Health and Mana bars, had gone up from Level 1 to Level 2 at the end of the Boss fight. He had 8 XP from the Teglings from before, which he found out when he checked his stats after defeating them. The Boss's defeat giving him 12 more XP. Which was a nice amount of XP for a Boss, if Zan would have given it a fighting chance, but he didn't. Now Zan had to chose between searching the Boss's corpse, issuing his points, or perhaps going over to investigate the giant floating red crystal. Before he could do anything, the voice from the grassy field spoke,
"You have proven your worth by clearing my trial with such flawless speed and precision. I deem thee worthy to enter my world. To clear this trial, dispel the labyrinth thou art in by smashing its heart, the crystal thou sees before thee."
'So destroying the crystal finishes the quest,' thought Zan, 'I'll wait to do that.' Zan decided to wait to distribute his points, because he didn't know what the requirements for something he might buy in the starting town would be. So Zan started searching the Boss's corpse for any loot.

The boss obviously didn't have any armor. It didn't have anything in terms of money either. What it did have though was a key on its belt, an old looking brass key that surprisingly didn't have too much rust on it despite how old it looked. There was the axe, but the axe was gigantic as it was bigger than a creature a good foot taller than him. It would be unclear whether or not Zan could even pick it up let alone use it unless he actually tried to. Of course, even if he could remotely pick it up, or try to do so, there was no way it would fit in his sack.

There was only one thing that looked like it was of value on the boss, and that was the amulet. The amulet itself looked shoddy, but its strange, and intricate, design plus the small gem inside of it made it seem like it was somewhat valuable, something that was only noticed thanks to a surprisingly keen eye for detail from Zan. So in reality, this amulet and the axe were the only two seemingly useful things from the boss. That and the key he found.

He could go around and examine the chamber to see if there were anymore secrets, or just go ahead and smash the crystal to complete the quest.

There was no armor found of the Boss obviously. Also it didn't have any Sens. There was an old looking brass key on the mob's belt, which didn't have as much rust on it as it should. Then there was the gigantic axe that was bigger than the Boss. There was no way to know if Zan could even lift it up until he tried, which he decided to wait to do that. Then Zan noticed an amulet, it looked not well made, but it had an intricate and strange design plus a small gem of the inside. Sadly those three objects were all he found. Zan used [Appraisal] on the strange amulet. After that he decided he would try to pick up the Boss's weapon.

((OoC: Sorry for the small post.))

Zan's appraisal, unfortunately, would not work as no matter what angle he examined the amulet from he just couldn't find any clues as to what it was. With no way to appraise it for now, he would have to just carry it and hope that he would be able to find a way to either appraise it or identify it later on. Then came the much harder task. Trying to pick up the gigantic axe. Zan had 12 STR. The Teglin enemy he fought was larger than him and probably had a higher STR score, so it was most likely able to more easily pick up the gigantic axe.

Unfortunately Zan could only lift it up a small bit. Not really enough to get a good hold on it. The thing was immensely heavy and also very bulky, its bulk making it even heavier. So while he was indeed able to get a part of it off the ground about a foot, the rest of it was a no go for using it, let alone carrying it. A party would come in handy here as more than one person could carry it, but Zan was alone in this scenario, so he had no choice but to either leave it behind or try and devise another way to carry it.

Caelis gasped slightly as the blade cut through him. The pain was certainly real and it had stunned him for a second since the pain was significant. Still, Caelis knew that every moment counted in a fight. He largely ignored the window that popped it. After all, it was a reward for being hit. It practically mocked him. So, he quickly returned the favor to the goblin who struck him. Caelis swung both his sword aand torch at the same time. However, the torch was aimed at the goblin's face while the sword swung lower towards the goblin's legs from the other side. He was relying on the fact that the goblin wouldn't be able block both attacks from different sides. Thus, either strike would ideally incapacitate, blind or stun the goblin. Enabling them to be easily disposed of.

Raijin cursed as the Goblin parried his strike, but his mood was lightened as Caelis came in and shoved a torch in the other ones face. Not wanting to let Caelis' manuever go to waste, he moved in to make another slash at the Goblin, using both hands and trusting that Caelis would keep the other goblin busy.

Caelis decided to go Aragorn and try to fight with sword in one hand, torch in another. Duel Wielding wasn't exactly easy to do, especially with a torch, which wasn't really meant to be a weapon in the first place. Caelis swung at the still blind creature, aiming to try and either cut into it, stun it, blind it, or some combination thereof. The sword slash struck very true into the creature, easily slashing from one side at its legs, the creature letting out a loud growl of pain as the blade bit into its legs.

It was thanks to this that the second swing of the torch was actually able to even hit, as its legs buckling for just a moment prevented it from being able to parry the torch blow, which it would have parried otherwise. The torch would find itself smacking into the creature's pig face with a full on hit, hot ash and cinder blinding this one as well as the two nasty blows were dealt. These creatures were clearly on the ropes now thanks to being both stunned now as the pig-like creature that was struck staggered back a few steps, trying to wipe the hot ash and cinder from its eyes.

A couple of windows appeared after Caelis' well placed two weapon strike, appearing in the side of his vision of course as to not interfere with combat, which was a nice consideration on the game developers part.

A Skill has been created through a Special Action. Through skillfully wielding a Longsword, the ability to better wield Longswords, Longsword adept, has been created.

Longsword Adept (Lv 1: 0%) (Passive): You are pretty good with Longswords, the more basic of all the swords. You get +1 Parry Defense and deal 5% more damage when using Longswords. To Level: Fight with Longswords, Parry with Longswords, Use Skills, Defeat Enemies, Score Critical Strikes

A Skill has been created through a Special Action. Through managing to somewhat skillfully fight with a weapon in each hand the ability to better do so, Ambidexterity, has been created.

Ambidexterity (Lv 1: 0%) (Passive): You have a basic skill in wielding a weapon or tool in each hand in combat. You get +1 Parry Defense while Duel Wielding and your Accuracy Penalty for your off-hand weapon is only -20 now. To Level: Fight with 2 Weapons, Defend with 2 Weapons, Utilize dual wielding Skills, Defeat an Enemy, Score a Critical Strike.

A good set of Skills were unlocked just from that one attack, Skills that would hopefully help them against the at least around 8 foot tall pig-faced creature that they would have to probably contend with after these two had fallen, something which Raijin was working on as he moved to the blinded creature and swung his blade at it as it scrambled to remove the ash from its face with one arm while trying to wildly and blindly parry with the other.

Unfortunately blindly parrying wasn't good enough. It had been wounded already and then had a torch hit into its face, so it had already taken some damage. With Raijin's swing he managed to dispatch the creature as the blade dug into its torso with a quick slash, the creature howling out before its body collapsed to the ground, its sword falling from its hand with a clang.

Unfortunately, the other taller pig-like creature now opened its eyes and suddenly moved, it having long, quick strides as it suddenly thrust its weapon right at Raijin. The weapon was like a spear with a long shaft, but instead of a spear-head it had a large iron ball on the end, as if it was some kind of spear mace or something.

Its weapon had reach and the creature was surprisingly swift for its large build, or perhaps part of that swiftness was its immense physical power. Regardless, parrying was impossible as if he even was able to, which he wasn't able to in time, it was most likely that this thing's immense strength would break any guard he could put up in the future as the thrust had thrown him backwards down onto the floor a couple yards. The blow was like getting hit by a truck, or at least that's how it felt like as his body was easily thrown back with that powerful thrust of its weapon. The creature's snout flared as it readied its weapon now, holding it like a very painful looking spear considering how easily it just threw Raijin back.

It was a good thing they had temporarily stunned one of them and killed another, as it appeared that the boss was on the move and that full on attack, which Raijin could see reflected on his HP bar in the corner of his vision, had knocked his HP down by 27 points, which was well more than half of his HP. Luckily a new set of windows appeared in the side of his vision, both as if mocking him and helping him.

A Skill has been unlocked through a Special Action. Through enduring the damage of a physical blow, the ability to better endure physical damage, Physical Endurance, has been created.

This battle was going to get much, much harder now, especially since if Raijin took one more hit like that he would probably be done judging from how powerful it looked. They would have to be quick and think smart if they wanted to get through this.

Caelis was greeted by numerous boxes that popped up on the side of his vision. It looked like his gamble paid off as the goblin took two satisfying hits. Then in the corner of his eye, Caelis saw the large monster run towards them and Raijin practically fly backwards a few meters. He looked back at Raijin and said "You all right?" Seeing how he wasn't dead, Caelis was a bit relieved, but another blow like that would be then end of it. He then said "I'll get its attention. Try to come up on its blind spot, get close, and hit its legs. Crippling it is going to be easier than killing it with one strike."

Caelis then started to charge at the large monster with his torch and sword. He knew that this could potentially be painful as the monster would probably thrust his spear at him as Caelis was approaching. Still, Caelis knew that the spear was less effective to use at very close range, so he had to get inside the monster's guard some way if they were to win somehow. How exactly did Caelis plan to do this? Well, he was hoping that he could either duck or roll as the monster thrusted, and then continue on to strike at the monster's knees. He would effectively go under into the monster's guard, but the monster was quick... surprisingly so. Thats why Caelis was concerned if he was capable of pulling this off, but now wasn't the time to hesitate.

Indeed, Caelis was right to assume just dodging or tumbling close to the creature was a better option than trying to parry. Parrying something like that with their strength would be impossible. Instead of just blindly charging though, Caelis decided to go on the defensive. Get close enough, wait for the creature to thrust, then move in and counterattack after it had attacked. So essentially when close enough he would ready himself to hopefully use his dodging of the attack to get into the creature's guard for a closer attack.

Caelis would feel a rush of wind move right past his body as he moved in closer during the thrust. If he had been just an inch to the right the right side of his body would have been clobbered and he would have been spun backwards through the air like a top. Thankfully though he had managed to avoid that inch at the last moment, just barely. It seemed that single point he put into Acrobatics really paid off as it gave him just the bit of step he needed to dodge the powerful thrust. Putting more points into that Talent would probably be best for the future, especially with impossible to parry attacks like the ones this creature had.

Regardless, Caelis plan to get closer to work. He was indeed correct to assume that this thing's weapon was more of a pure reach weapon and was not the best in terms of defense. Regardless, Caelis moved in and attempted to slash at both of the monsters knees with steel and fire. The sword would bite deep into the creature's knee, making it let out a loud growl, but it didn't seem crippled despite that. Perhaps the blow didn't do enough damage. The torch, however; was blocked at the last second by the spear of the creature.

It was blocked with such force that Caelis nearly lost the torch, but a bit of weapon finesse on his part allowed him to keep his grip on it. Had the second attack been more poorly executed, then the torch either would have broke or had been flung from his hand. Regardless, the creature was right on top of Caelis now, figuratively speaking, meaning it would have to move back, or one would assume, to be able to better use its spear. A blow had been dealt to it thankfully, meaning that this fight wasn't impossible.

They also had one other enemy to deal with as well, the other sword wielder that was almost done wiping the ash and soot from its eyes so that it could fight again. Not done yet, but almost.

Raijin let himself have a little whoop of victory at defeating his enemy, until he got sent flying by the boss' spear mace. Okay, that hurt, like a lot. Raijin picked himself up, and stared at the two enemies he had to work with, ignoring the slightly patronizing skill window that had popped up. The smaller goblin would have been the easy kill, but at the moment Caelis' was in need of some help, and he fancied that helping Caelis' avoid death would be a better option then dealing with a minor mob.

Raijin ran forward, holding his sword in both hands again as he called out "[Run-By Strike]", aiming to attack the boss' legs and provide a distraction and plausible opening for Caelis' to either escape or deal another blow.

Raijin, instead of dealing with the other smaller enemy that was still pretty open, decided to run forward and try to attack the creature with the Skill that dealt less damage than a standard attack. Still, it would hopefully protect him from a counterattack from the eight foot tall creature, that being a height that was probably just a few feet taller than the others, but still quite imposing regardless. Ignoring that, Raijin rushed forward now, chanting the Skill Name as he rushed forward, aiming to strike and then move away from the creature in the process.

Luckily Raijin was able to slash into the creature's leg. Unfortunately the attack was so light that it just left a light scratch on the creature's leg for the first reason of the attack not hitting full on and the other reason of that Raijin wasn't exactly a heavy damage dealer yet. Still, the creature growled now, having two people to contend with. The boss decided to guard itself while moving backwards from its two opponents to make sure that they couldn't get attacks in while he carefully and quickly moved away to prepare for another attack. It wasn't exactly bright.

The other finally had finished rubbing the hot ash and soot from its eyes and brandished its sword once again. It was heavily wounded, but now was another foe to contend with, even if it looked like a single well placed slash would finish it off thanks to both of Caelis' blows with bronze and flame having heavily wounded it.

Raijin cursed, he had hoped that his attack would do something but it at least gave Caelis' some more room to manuever. Not wanting to risk getting hit by the boss again, he decided to focus on the smaller guy and keep from flanking Caelis'. He charged the Goblin and went for a dual handed diagonal slash, putting all of his power into the attack.

Caelis watched the large boss monster retreat. The fight had reached a small lull as there was some space to breath. That said... they had to get into the monster's guard again, which wasn't exactly an easy task. Still, Caelis felt that they had a decent chance at winning this fight. Then, a thought crossed his mind. Could a heavy slash wound lead to a monster or a player to hemorage and slowly lose health as they lost blood? It was an interesting thought. Yes, there was no gore, but for a game that emphasizes realism... it would be surprising if they ignored bloodloss. Perhaps it was a skill? Anyways, this was an interesting theory to test. So, for this time around, Caelis also backed away slightly from both monsters. He wasn't going to risk charging at the large monster again especially if it was ready and on the defensive. Yes, it wasn't too bright since it left its smaller comrade alone, but it was dangerous to underestimate the enemy. Thus, Caelis would not engage the enemy this time.

No, instead he gingerly walked over to the dead body of the other goblin and began to cautiously began searching it for anything useful with one hand as he dropped his torch while the other hand had his sword at the ready. While searching he would also diverting some of his attention to the large boss. If the boss thought that Caelis was wide open and charge at him, then that would be ideal since this was a mere trick. Caelis planned to dive forward and strike at the monster's legs again... hopefully with the spear harmlessly passing by above him if the boss charged. If the monster didn't take the bait... well hopefully the dead goblin actually did have something useful on it that could help out for this battle.

Raijin decided to tackle the other small enemy so that the two of them could fully divert their attention to the large one without having to worry about being flanked. It was indeed a good idea, since fighting on two fronts was not smart. Fortunately Raijin's attack would work. He would manage to easily slip past the creature's guard, his blade biting deep into the creature's flesh. It howled out as the blade raked across its chest before it fell backwards, dead. His regular attack was indeed a bit stronger than his [Run-By-Strike] Skill.

The enemy that had just fallen was now definitely dead as it was no longer moving, a long, light red gash across its chest in a diagonal line extending down from the left shoulder to the right hip. While Raijin was killing things though, Caelis decided to do something very different.

He was trying to bait the large enemy into a false sense of security by seemingly giving up on the fight to search a corpse. even dropping the torch. Of course, Caelis couldn't search it in death unless he wanted to take both eyes off the boss, which wasn't smart, so he would have to more or less do a pat down while keeping his attention on the boss, hoping that the creature would think Caelis was wide open and charge in. Caelis was indeed open, but not wide open.

Fortunately the monster bought it. Caelis wasn't really able to find anything useful in the short few seconds he had to search as the creature would suddenly charge at Caelis. Instead of thrusting though, the creature swung the spear mace like a staff, swinging the large iron ball towards Caelis' side. Fortunately Caelis was able to once again barely dodge under the swing, moving in crouched low, without a torch unfortunately, to deliver a strike towards the creature's legs once again with his blade.

Wielding the blade in both hands, since he was able to do so, added a small bit more oomph to the bite the blade did as he slashed. The creature let out a loud, pained snarl as Caelis slashed its legs. It was indeed keep, but not deep enough to cause horrible blood loss or crippling like he wanted. The thing had a really thick hide and meaty flesh. Also Caelis wasn't exactly proficient in targeting precision areas to cause such things to happen.

Still, a couple of windows did appear in Caelis' vision, to the side of course.

A Skill has been created through a Special Action. Through risking life and limb to fool an enemy by performing actions outside the normal patterns of combat; the ability to better fool your enemies.Fool's Act, has been created.

Fool's Act (Lv 1: 0%) (Special): A unique technique often employed by assassins or other sneaky, tricky types. You perform some action that falls outside of the ordinary bounds of battle. This could be from dropping a weapon suddenly to some other form of act that falls outside of the bounds of normal combat. This is dependent upon your Performance Score, having another +1 bonus to fool the enemy into buying your act and thus being brought off guard. Note that if used on the same enemy in the same battle it will have a -10 to work for each additional time beyond the first that you attempt to fool the enemy. To Level: Attempt, Perform Successfully, Defeat an Enemy

A somewhat useful Skill had appeared, except that Caelis had already fooled the boss once. Would it work for it again though thanks to its note of it not being as effective since he had already used it. Still, so far they were doing pretty good, but with one hit from this enemy that would probably all change.

"Won't you die already?" Haruko exclaimed, frustrated at the difficulty of her opponent. This game was just unreasonable, pitting her against such an opponent as her first challenge. Where was the gentle hand-holding?

Haruko decided to bet on being able to kill it before it did. If it was a true copy, the healing potion should have been enough to tip the scales. Haruko stepped in with her arms raised and delivered a one-two punch to the shadow clone.

If Haruko had read the hype or reviews on this game, all of which were usually very good reviews, some of them talked about how this game didn't hold your hand at all whatsoever. It was very hard, but some people also said that was part of the fun was the fact that its intense difficulty made the game both intuitive and very fun. Especially with the aspect of character death that people talked about, which made people all the more willing to be invested in their characters and in the game. Still, Haruko would have to complain about it later as she had a boss fight to contend with. Currently it was her moment to be on the offensive, throwing two punches at the shadow.

The first punch was full on and hard hitting, more shadowy essence flying off the creature. It was still up though. Haruko managed to slip past its block and deliver one more powerful punch, knocking the shadow back as more of that same shadowy essence broke off from it. The shadow stood there for a few moment, more shadowy essence slowly leaking from it until it gripped its head, trying to remain together, but the thing was slowly losing its human shape now, the process getting quicker as the moments passed. Not but a few seconds later it finally broke apart into a black mist, the mist evaporating into nothing and leaving a strange, black crystal in its place that fell to the ground as well as a brass key.

After the boss had been defeated, a window appeared in the side of her vision, mentioning once again that Improved Unarmed Strike had gone up in Level by 1, making it Level 3 now and increasing her unarmed strike damage a small bit, if she checked the new info in her Skill Window. Now that she had defeated the shadowy creature, a voice from nowhere, much like the one in the grassy field from before, spoke.

"Thou hast defeated the enemy before thee and is worthy to enter my world. To finish thine trial, smash the heart of this place that lies before thee"
The 'heart' that the voice was talking about was most likely the large, floating crystal in the room. Smashing that would apparently finish the quest and allow her to leave this place. She could either look around a bit more or just proceed to clearing the dungeon.

Raijin only allowed himself a small smile of victory upon seeing the Goblin fall to his blade, quickly turning around to asses the situation with the boss. It seemed like Caelis had baited the creature into attacking him, and had been able to wound it a bit more. Taking advantage of the creature focusing on Caelis, he stealthily moved behind the creature, attempting to avoid detection by the creature as he snuck up close to it, then when he was close enough, he burst forward and attempted to jump on to the creatures back. If he succeeded, he would then try to stab the creature in the neck, then jump off. If he failed, he'd try to roll out of the way, hopefully avoiding the creatures counter-attack.

Raijin attempted to be stealthy now, which wasn't a bad strategy as he wasn't too entirely bad at stealth with his AGI and 2 points he had in the Talent. Well... not bad for a Level 1 Character anyway. Luckily for Raijin, he was able to easily and quickly sneak up on the pig-like boss as it had no idea that Raijin was sneaking up behind it at all. In fact, it was so focused on Caelis, that Raijin was easily able to make the jump with no problems and stab it just where it wanted to before it had any idea what was even going on. In fact, he was even able to jump off when the creature had noticed the stab, it letting out a loud howl of pain as that had definitely did some damage.

Not enough to kill it, but enough to leave a pretty large wound in the creature. The boss definitely looked a bit worse for wear now as its HP was indeed a bit low, not that Raijin wasn't somewhat feeling the same with his HP more than halfway gone, but it was a sign that they indeed had this creature on the ropes and could probably win after a few more well-executed attacks, especially thanks to Raijin's skillful sneak attack, the likes of which made a couple of windows appear.

A Skill has been created through a special action. Through managing to sneak up on an enemy and skillfully target their vitals for more damage; the ability to better do so, Sneak Attack, has been created.

Sneak Attack (Lv 1: 0%) (Special): You know how to sneak up on enemies properly and deliver a quick, powerful strike to their vitals. Whenever you sneak up on an enemy and attack, you can perform a Sneak Attack, which is a regular Attack that deals 50% more damage and has +1 Critical Range. To Level: Attempt, Successfully perform a Sneak Attack, Defeat an Enemy, Get a Critical Strike.

As Raijin attacked the large boss from behind, Caelis tok the opportunity to change his strategy in fighting the monster. The monster was a bit too strong for Caelis' weak attacks to really cause damage to its legs. So, what if Caelis began to target weaker areas that would have similar crippling capabilities? Caelis swung with both hands, aiming at the boss' hands. It would be difficult to use such a weapon with only one hand, so rendering just one hand would make the boss have less attacking capability. Not to mention, it might be a deep enough wound to cause the boss to take bleeding damage as well.
