Strengths: Tomoko is a speedy runner, along with being flexible and limber. Being quite a creative creature, she can create things out of almost nothing. She'd probably be good to have for building shelters or making extra clothes or blankets in an emergency.

Weaknesses: Although the kitsune is quite athletic and innovative, she is a bit easily distracted. This is due to her habit of overthinking about mostly everything, or the fact that almost everything interests her. It's difficult for Tomoko to focus on one thing and often surrounds herself with many projects and responsibilities. This may become a bit strenuous to those around her, and has caused others to leave Tomoko's side in the past.

Personality:

Khirel is a carefree, kind, and compassionate man who enjoys the outdoors more than he does being cooped up in his home. One could call him an environmentalist due to his love of nature (especially the ocean). He is also very curious about the way things work, such as how nature adapts to its new environments, why humans do what they do, or even how a clock works. Khirel is also a fan of reading, filling his brain with facts that could one day be of use, and the taste of fish. Despite them being his "brethren", as some would assume, Khirel actually loves to have it and any kind of meat for dinner. He may be an environmentalist, but that doesn't mean he's a vegetarian.

Though when he is not on land reading or tinkering with an object, he can be found near fish or anywhere he could swim in. He adores the deep blue and could spend hours in water no matter where it is; the only exception is the bathtub. Khirel, despite his half fish nature, loves domestic animals such as cats, dogs, birds, etc. Unfortunately, his feline friends always try to eat him. To this day he has never been able to pet a cat without it giving him the predator eyes or just sinking its teeth into his hand.

Abilities and Powers:

Merman form: Khirel has two separate forms that allow him to tread land and swim in water. His Merman form (as seen in the above picture), turns his legs into a large fish tail. This tail allows him to swim at speeds up to 60 mph underwater if given the space and chance. It is also quite a sight, given that there are not many fish or mermen who possess a tail like his own.

His human form allows him to leave the water and walk among the humans. Khirel's body can shift and form into a human or a Merman tail under specific circumstances. If he steps in water, he will have his tail in just a minute or two. If he is completely dry, he will have human legs. One could say the process is equivalent to a human's fingers pruning if underwater for too long.​

Gills: Khirel has both gills and lungs, which allows him to breathe underwater and the air of the land. He can never die via drowning, and does not have to be restricted to a home on land. The gills on his body do not go away, and need to be kept damp with some water to keep them from drying out. If dried out, it is the equivalent of a very harsh sunburn cracking on your skin, making to painful for Khirel to move his neck.

Angler fish traits: Khirel has traits of an Angler fish within him, despite not looking like one at all. His teeth are no different, but he can switch back and forth between sharp, monstrous teeth to normal human teeth in a matter of seconds. Though the process hurts him, Khirel will have to increase his pain tolerance if he needed to use this at whim. His teeth are capable of biting through bones, though Khirel isn't going to go biting people to prove it.

Predatorial senses and reflexes: Underwater, its eat or be eaten. Khirel has had many close encounters where larger fish had tried to make him their dinner. With that, he has adapted to have keener senses of whats around him and a hunter's instinct. Because of this, he is much more observant, aware of his surroundings, and has higher reflexes than any normal human. Though, because of the underwater lifestyle, it has made Khirel a bit paranoid around people and anyone bigger than him.
