- Fantasy is my #1; I will give almost anything a chance if it has strong fantasy elements. Post apocalyptic, superhero, alternate history, science fantasy, some supernatural, romance, and a few fandoms (especially Game of Thrones) are also likely to catch my eye.
Yeah, American law can be really stupid. People having a boner for independence and freedom of choice clashes really dramatically with people who have a boner for equality and social protections. Battles over changes to American law are basically legislators getting into dick fights (and working to please the corporate sponsors that funded their campaign) instead of having anything to do with what makes the most sense and most benefits the people. It it's just public opinion, legal sympathy, and precedent that sets race away from sexual orientation then changing the law won't fix it. We have to made ourselves heard and understood just like those of color did decades ago. We have to make our stand and earn protection like they did... yes the law CAN be used that way but demanding special treatment under is not equality. Better idea to revise the law to include all unreasonable reasons for hiring someone, but then it won't really am at will state, would it?
Your American laws confuse me...
