Seeing as Maxim jumped before giving a speech, Alex decided to no longer wait. Taking a few steps back, he eventually ran towards the open door, jumping out of the transport.

He used the little free time he had before he would have to deploy his chute, to place a marker on the enemy forces, so that he wouldn't be facing the wrong way, and advance in the opposite direction.

That would be embarrassing.

After doing that, he looked back to the rapidly advancing ground. Deciding that now was the time to deploy the chute, he did so. Reducing his descent speed. Once he was within the safe dropping distance range that his cybernetics could handle. He took off the parachute, landing with a soft thud.

He quickly took out his DMR and took up a kneeling position. "I wish you all luck." He said, hoping the inspirational words would help.

Wade Soble
With permission from the Major, the transport ship moved closer towards the enemy. With most of the others starting to jump out, Wade prepared himself quickly. He donned on his helmet and used the markers he received from the others as waypoints on his HUD. With a quick pull of the bolt on his shotgun and parachute strapped on his back, he dove headfirst out of the plane.

Wade felt the rush of the wind past his ear, his skin tingling in the cold air. His heart raced as the ground quickly approached. Since his robotic legs could not handle the stress of a free fall, so he had to slow his descent with a parachute. At the same time, he had avoid staying in the air too long or risk getting shot out of sky. So, he waited until he was a few hundred meters in the air, just enough to slow his descent without breaking his legs. As he impacted the ground, his legs creaked slightly under the stress.

Once on the ground, Wade quickly cut himself off from the chute and hid behind some nearby cover. Using his helmet, he could tell that the enemy was only a thousand meters from his position. His radar showed that the closest person was the man who grabbed his arm earlier, Ten or some code name like that, but even then he was a hundred meters away. As much as he loved to jump in and start blasting, the force was far too large for him to take on his own. Clueless as to what to do next he called over comms, "Wade here. Anyone got a plan? I got hostiles a thousand meters from my position and closing. Over."

The air transport whizzed up to the sky as Kuroki watched with great interest like a child on her first errand. Everyone made their round of introductions. Masako was as charming as ever, Kuroki was still not over the initial hype and excitement of meeting her idol up close. But at this point, there were other things for her to focus her limited attention span on. She bounced on her seat slightly, eagerly looking down at the targets they would be fighting, evaluating how she would go about eliminating them. This was going to be fun! Her attention turning to the little drone, she cheerfully put her fingers up in a 'V' sign. "Cheese!"

The others dropped down one after another, but Kuroki waited until she was certain of their locations. The last one to drop, she simply sprang out of the transport as though she was a ballerina, body poised with practiced ease for the best camera angles. She never liked parachutes, her first experience with them included her being nearly suffocated by the fabric, limbs tangled in the strings like she was a marionette. The effect was in the form of a viral video, completely embarrassing to say the least. Parachutes have infamously been listed as one of her worst enemies from then on. Once she was in the air, Kuroki relished the feeling of cool wind whistling in her ears for a few seconds, feeling the thrill it brought her. Then, she simply walked the rest of her way down.

As though she was descending from an invisible staircase, Kuroki walked down in thin air with a little skip in her step, deliberately slow so the cameras could catch her in action. Angling her legs so that the boosters will fire in all the correct directions to give off the impression that she was walking, it was a task that required more skill than it looked. The audience loved it though, so that was all that really mattered. Landing a few feet away from Maxim, she turned to him with a face glowing with excitement. "Yep, the battle!" She cheered, her eyes following every movement his Armour made. "Maxim, right? Thanks for bailing me out the other time, I look forward to learning from you!"

What Ash could not understand about some of the people here, was the camera's, it was not a good time for photo's and videotaping, all focus should be on the fight. But then again, the A.I did know that sometimes others might know better than he will. He would have to ask about that later, right now, the enemy approached, and didn't seem like they cared about such things as photos.

At this point, Ash could calculate his shots effectively, he did such that and aimed down his sight. He was about to take the first shot on a poor facade of infantry who was leading, but one of the tanks had knocked over a tree, and out flew a few sparrows. First, the A.I questioned on why they were even alive in this area in the first place, then his eyes zoomed in on the flying creatures as they flew. He slightly lowered his gun, and at that moment he heard cannon fire, on of the tanks took a shot. It was all in slow motion, Ash zoomed out and looked at the path of the shot, it was going to miss, but it was going to hit relatively close him. It was no point to fire up his palm weapons, as his reaction speed would have been too slow for the blast. He calculated that his armor would easily handle it, but he would be sent a few feet back...

BOOM!

"oh dea-" was the last words that was said before the bot was sent somersaulting into the air and a few feet back, the blast from the shell kicking up dirt and debri into the air. He landed on his back behind the group, and laid their a few seconds taking in what just happened. He looked to his right and realized his right arm had completely crushed his rifle bending it into a V shape. "did not account for that" At that moment, he powered on his thrusters and palm weapons. It seems he was going to need them, He then got up as quickly as possible as the force then started to unleash their firepower on the squad. "Appears the enemy is firing first" he stated over the comms.

The fighters had quickly located the transport and moved for it, with only Aya on hand to intercept. She seemed like easy prey, pulling off to engage the enemy aircraft in a bit of flustered panic. Focus, Aya, she told herself as she moved in to intercept the attack. "Eat this!" She fired a pair of her missiles at the fighters, causing their formation to split apart, pulling in different directions to avoid the projectiles. One missile kept flying straight along, but the other managed to turn in time to continue chasing a fighter, until it eventually connected, damaging it in a large explosion.

With a yell, Aya flew off to chase one of the other Type-5s, firing at it with one of her guns. The gunfire didn't do much beyond punch at the skin of the aircraft, causing its armor to shatter and fall off at points. No core exposed. Damn it, just how difficult was the damn thing going to make this. She increased her speed, pulling closer to the fighter. After a bit of close-in maneuvering, she was practically close enough to touch it, and in one quick pass, she drew her sword and slashed at where one would expect the cockpit to be. Moments later, the airplane began to disintegrate into shining fragments.

"Holy shit! I did it! Yay!" Aya briefly celebrated, but was cut short by the continuing battle, as another fighter swooped in to avenge its wingman. Aya began evasive maneuvers and got on the general radio channel with the others. "Requesting back-up out here! Two fighters still up, and I think one of them might be going after our ride home."

Meanwhile, on the ground, the enemy troops weren't taking the rain of cyborgs from the sky lying down. The infantry began spreading out, scattering into smaller squads. Up close, the looked humanoid, although clad completely in some sort of exoskeletal armor, and so identical as to be practically interchangeable. All were armed with some sort of beam weapons integrated into their forearms, and most knew that they could hit just about as hard as an augmented cyborg in melee, even if they didn't usually carry bladed weapons. The Type-8s hovered inches above the ground, their black angled armor now pulsing with glowing red stripes as they began to go on the attack. One had fired on Ash's position, and made no indication of not pressing its advantage in simply running right over the area.

The troops now in front of Ash scattered as he fired on them. Two fell in the assault, but the remaining three got out of the line of fire and returned fire with beams of their own to discourage pursuit as they rushed for what cover could be had. The remaining tank and a detachment of soldiers moved right in for Maxim and anyone near him. Such a big target would surely draw attention of the bigger guns in the area, and the tank's turret was already swiveling in to take aim at the Bogatyr.

The rest of the infantry monsters moved in twos and threes to attack the other cyborgs in the area, some running for the cover of the stand of trees near Laarni's lake, no doubt to investigate her own landing. It was divide and conquer on both sides, with plenty on everyone's hands to deal with. The aliens' tactics were simple, straightforward, and not particularly organized. If the team could coordinate and regroup, they could easily bring the lot of them down.

Wade Soble
Wade's call for a plan was quickly met with gunfire. "Alright then, we'll wing it," he called over the radio. At this point, he wasn't sure what was going on. From his scanners on his HUD he could tell the enemy was splitting up to engage the scattered forces. Meanwhile one of the flyers was focusing her attention on the fighter jets, surprisingly taking one of the sky. Suddenly his HUD began to beep. Whipping his head around he noticed that a group of monsters was quickly approaching him. Diving into cover behind a rock, he prepared his shotgun for the creatures to come. Here I go again....

*Crunch Crunch* The sound of footsteps on the gravel grew louder and louder. Peering over the rock he could see four humanoid creatures making their towards his parachute. This shouldn't be too hard. Wade waited until the first creature passed his rock. As it suddenly pointed its gun at him, Wade yelled, "Surprise Mother-*BOOOM" The creature took a 12 gauge slug right in the face, killing it instantly and knocking it a few feet in the air. Before the three others could react Wade jumped in front of the group. He identified the three other baddies, using his HUD to label the incoming threats. Baddie 1 was right in front of him while Baddies 2 and 3 were about 4 feet back., one on the left and another on the right.

Moving in, Wade straight up punched Baddie 1 in the face, using his exoskeleton to increase power and knocking it to the ground. With his momentum, he spun around his shotgun, firing two shot at Baddie 3 on the right. The shots were not as effective at long range, but it did distract it for a second. As Baddie 2 opened fire, dove towards Baddie 3 while simultaneously pulling a timed explosive from his bag. Sticking the explosive on Baddie 3, he Sparta kicked it towards Baddie 2. Hiding once again behind a rock, he waited for the explosion that signaled the end of Baddies 2 and 3. Wade rose from his position, admiring the nice crater that used to be the creatures. Wait where's- Suddenly his HUD beeped violently as bullets whizzed by him. Without flinching he turned and fired a burst of 12 gauge rounds right at Baddie 1, ending the fight.

While he wanted to admire his work, Wade knew he didn't have time. Calling over the comms again he said, "Wade here. Four baddies down. Anyone need any assistance?"

Alex quickly noticed some of the enemy forces making their way for Maxim.

Despite knowing the big guy could handle himself. He wasn't about to risk losing the team's heavy hitter.

So, he made his way over to where he could take cover, and at least lessen the force going for Maxim. Save for the tank, his DMR didn't have enough firepower to pierce the armor of said vehicle. But, just enough for the infantry.

He took aim at one of the enemies close to the tank. Taking his time before pulling the trigger, and again on the same foe. As the armor merely chipped from the first shot, before finally the second DMR round found it's way into the enemy's head. Quickly he switched to another target. But, seeing as their comrade suffered a fatal shot to the head, his targets took cover, beginning to return fire at him. And, so did he.

Hearing Wade on the comms, offering assistance. He quickly said into the comms. "I may need assistance." Hopefully, the enemy that he had opened fire on, would stay focused on him, and not Maxim, as he was positive the tank would continue it's advance towards Maxim.

Well this was a surprise. More units were showing up on radar. Sylphie took a glance behind her, noticing a squad of allied forces was sent out to deal with this scouting party.

"Shit." She muttered. Gonna be virtually impossible to remain discreet. Clean up fast and get out. That was the plan.

There was a static crackling in her head. That was weird. Now that the majority of allied command had moved in, she was able to pick up some of their radio comms. There was apparently action in the skies.

Would it be better to hang back? The action was dangerously close to a transport, she'd be spotted pretty easily.

She didn't spend that long thinking about it. Making a 135 degree turn, her thrusters fired up, attempting to close the gap on the enemy fighters threatening their transport.

She appeared to be making a beeline towards Aya. She extended her left arm forward, one that was rapidly and mechanically transforming into... some kind of launcher?

*FWOOSH!*

She fired a heat-seeking missile in the direction of the bogey further away from the transport. The missile curved, avoiding Aya in the process, before beginning its chase. Two more fired afterwards, her arm adjusting its aim with each launch.

Her free arm seemed to salute Aya, however brief a window was perceptible in that moment. She was gunning at a blistering speed.

Her eyes glanced toward's Aya's but said nothing as she shot past her, aiming to pursue the one heading for their transport. A pair of gattling guns descended from the elbows of her forearms. Remaining stiff, she aimed carefully. Machine gun fire was less likely to cause collateral damage, and she hoped to force the enemy to take evasive action.

She opened fire with a few volleys. *RATATATATATA!*

The ground troops continued to focus on Alex; he was a much softer target, and the tank could deal with Maxim by itself, provided he let it. Alex's tenuous cover was slowly being flanked as the firefight continued, the monsters cautiously darting about while one of their squadmates provided bursts of covering fire. Of course, if one were willing to take a risk, that just meant there were multiple targets with their heads out at once. The tank fired its main cannon.

Meanwhile, the air battle's tides had changed with the arrival of an unknown ally, from out of nowhere, as far as Aya could tell. Whoever she was, she started as a blip way too small to be another cyborg or aircraft. The fighter with the sudden missile lock immediately broke off to take evasive action, swerving and spiraling through the air to try and out-turn the fat-approaching projectiles. The first went wide, but the second and then third connected with the craft, causing it to explode into glimmering fragments. The last fighter pulled away from its attack run to evade the gunfire, and instead began to angle in to attack the two airborne cyborgs, sweeping the area with its own guns once they were pointed the right way.

For someone in the middle of evasive action, Aya didn't wast much time in contacting Sylphie, by way of the general comms channel. "Nice save~ Uh, I mean, thanks for the support. I don't recognize those IFF codes. Y-you better not be an enemy." She kept a gun pointed in Sylphie's general direction, just in case the answer wasn't what she'd expect. The enemy didn't seem the sort to try and spoof the usual codes, and the brief visual didn't register quite like anything she'd heard about before.

The inattention cost her, however, as a few high-caliber bullets blasted into her arm and side, sending her into a spin and spraying a mist of armor and fluids into the air as she cried out, still over the comms.

The fight had broken out in several other areas, yet Laarni was still playing a game of cat and mouse with the enemies near her. She wasn't sure who was which, although for her own sake she hoped she was the predator and not the prey. The corner of her HUD showed a birds eye view of the nearby vicinity and anything that gave off energy signatures... thankfully, only two had come to investigate her area. She quietly breathed out the words, the technology in her mouth and throat translating the movements into a voice not quite hers into their comms.

"I should be able to handle the two on my side, but will call for back-up if necessary. Go ahead and cover for him for now. Over." She crept, strategically attaching her tiny bombs on a nearby rock formation and some trees. As she'd predicted, the two separated to cover more ground. Knowing this was her best shot, she got out her assault rifle, aimed, and fired at will. Of course, the other one would come over soon, so she had a precious minute to get rid of this one lest she get overwhelmed.

The thing came towards her, already with its weapon out and shooting at her where she was. She dodged, rolled out of the way; at one point she ungracefully dived for the ground. It followed her, and when as the trees behind it exploded with the little signals she sent, Laarni could only grin in thrill as it headed straight for the heavily loaded rock formation. She threw one more bomb at it and as it turned to look at her, she set all of them off at once. Sand, soil, wood and rock raised as if gravity was temporarily lost for that brief moment, and then came back down on earth with heavy force. If the explosion didn't kill it, the shrapnel surely would.

Her victory was short-lived however, as the moment she turned around, a small missile was already headed towards her. She narrowly dodged a direct hit, but unfortunately hit the ruins of where her attacker's comrade once was, knocking her back with the explosion. Laarni, thankfully, landed on sand, greatly cushioning her fall but unfortunately impairing her movements in the time it took to unbury herself. She aimed in the general vicinity of the enemy with her assault rifle, trying to find proper purchase on the beach. The explosion had no doubt sent out some sort of high keening static to her team, so she sent out a quick message to assure them that she was still alive. "Just had a bit of a doozy; should be fine. I can probably take care of this last-" A high pitched cry of pain sounded over the comms. "Sakurano? Is that you? What happened up there?"

The first volleys of fire came. The fight had finally started. Maxim didn't need to be told what target to go for. The moment the tank entered his sights, he knew he'd be the one to challenge it. In fact, he craved a fight against an opponent his size. Fighting infantry wouldn't be much of a sport. The tank fired first and Maxim held his shield up, taking the explosive shell right in the center of it. He was obscured for a moment by the dust cloud the explosion threw up with a deafening crack. And a few moments later, he emerged from it, the decorative ax head bearing its Voskad designs behind him and glinting in the sun like a metallic flag, defiant of the enemy's attack.

He raised the wall of a shield up once more and rested his gun on top of it, firing and suppressing the foot soldiers around the tank. Heavy, Voskad-manufactured ammunition burst from the gun's barrel and zipped towards the enemy like a slew of angry, lead hornets.

The infantry around the tank was forced to disperse, lest they be torn to pieces. They scattered and abandoned their plans to move towards Maxim's allies, seeking cover instead. Maxim moved forward faster and faster, until he broke into a run with the shield held up. The tank fired again, and the shell dinged against the side of the shield again. Two direct hits, and the metal barrier still held fast, although the left side was beginning to show some deformation in the metal. It mattered little, however. Maxim reached the tank before it could fire again, swatting aside two unlucky infantry units that hadn't managed to disperse in time with his shield, sending them tumbling away.

He disregarded his gun and set the shield down to protect his left side. The tank tried to back up, but Maxim wrapped his hands around its cannon and directed it away from himself. The tank fired, but its cannon was already pointed past Maxim, the shell simply flew into the distance and exploded uselessly. Maxim grunted and his synthetic muscles strained as he pulled and bent the tank's cannon upwards. The strange, alien material groaned back, but was forced upwards. Whatever this tank was made of, it bent like metal for a bit before the cannon broke off like crystal of some kind. Either way, the weapon was too damaged and haphazard to fire without damaging the tank even more. Maxim dug his hands under the vehicle and with a mighty, "Hyah!" flipped it over.

The vehicle had become little more than a useless hunk of alien material without its ability to move or fire. Maxim placed on foot down on it and picked up his weapon, firing at the remaining infantry, "Hahahaha! Useless! No such alien weapons are a match for the strength of Voskad!"

...

As some infantry units focused on Alex, one of them paused in its advance as it felt something slap against its arm. It looked down to a see a little round device with something written on it in Kenshimanese. The object blinked twice and the unit simply exploded into a girly pink. The Kenshimanese had read, "HIGH EXPLOSIVE 5 SEC DELAY [PINK]". Masako jumped through the smoke with a wink and joined the fray, accompanied by a few flashed from the drone. She landed behind the infantry unit in charge of suppressing and fired both of submachine guns into it. Two other units opened fire, and Masako jumped away and fired at them both. She reacted unnaturally quickly, thanks to being given some of Kenshima's top of the line tech. When your job is to fight and still find opportunities for photo ops, you have to better than good or fast. And this new reflex booster was working like a charm. Kaido Technologies would be getting a nice little recommendation from her that would no doubt boost their stocks.

She jumped, rolled, and fired at another unit, kicking it away and using the push from the kick to throw herself into the air. The infantry rolled away, already quite dead. The drone zipped around her, filming from the best angles it could find. Its aesthetics algorithm looked for moments one would deem cute, or sexy to take higher quality snapshots of (these algorithms belonging to a software program rightfully named KaweyeFind 3.2). As her lift reached the top of its arc, she began to fall downward. She struck a pose and let her downward movement lift her skirt up just a bit.

Think what you want, but she was getting great shots in this fight. After this she'd definitely move up the popularity leaderboards. About time she overtook that useless cow Chihiro Ikari. Back in Kenshima, that girl had been moving up the leaderboards too quickly for Masako's taste. Just a few more good shots shots. Ikari's sponsors'll get a load of this fight and start moving their sponsorships over to her instead. Fufufufu... Oh and saving that Amex Mudder guy was good PR too, or whatever his name was. Mudder? Miser? He'd need to hold his thanks off until the drone can get a good shot of him being all grateful.

Alex ducked every so often. Before he took his chances, as he stood from cover. Using his cybernetics, he quickly shot two in the head, and clipped another. Unfortunately, he took a hit from the covering fire. Which sent him flying backwards. Stunned, he attempted to get up, before he stopped. His right arm looked like someone had cut his armor and cybernetics like they were butter.

He tried to move his hand. But no response came from the artificial limb. Silently, he chastised himself. That was foolish of him to peek out and try to engage the enemy while one of their own was providing covering fire.

Thankfully Masako had shown up and dealt with the enemy flanking him.

"My right arm had taken damage. And can't function properly. Will still assist. Albeit in not so optimal condition." He said over comms. The 'thank you' to Masako would have to wait. Putting the DMR away, and pulling out his sidearm. He would've stuck with the DMR, but attempting to fire it with just one hand would only hamper him if there were multiple hostiles firing at him. As the recoil would cause him to miss a lot. He could set up as a way to negate that, but that would also leave him at a disadvantage if he got ambushed.

He then looked for his teammates, upon spotting Ash. Alex quickly made his way to him. As, Alex would be a target in his condition, and hopefully Ash would be able to help with his arm.

"Sakurano? Is that you? What happened up there?"

The question came over the comms from down below. Aya didn't know who yet, but she responded anyway. "I'm okay." Aya didn't really sound it, so much as she sounded like someone actively gritting her teeth and fighting through whatever pain she was in. "Just got shot up a bit, but nothing serious." She'd managed to level out and was back to flitting around, trying to get a good angle on the enemy aircraft. "Bit busy up here, still, and there's some unknown contact helping us out."

As the battle raged on, Wade heard Alex's call and moved towards his last position. From what he heard on the comms, it looked like Alex had taken a coupe of hits. After a while, Wade finally found him and in even worse shape than he imagined. "Yo Alex! Are you trying to get yourself killed?" he asked over the comms to at least alert him of his presence. Jumping over some cover, Wade sprinted to Alex and began running right next to him. "What do you think you are going to do in that state?" he questioned, carefully scanning the area for any additional enemies. There really wasn't much he could do medically, but Wade could at least escort him.
