[BCOLOR=transparent]I remember the day it came to us. It was only 15 years ago when it did. Before it came, the world was in ruin. Corrupt kings, poverty, assassinations, murder, theft, everything was horrid. I was no different. I was a corrupt king eating from the hands of the thieves. However, back then was a hell of a lot better than now. Now is a time of panic, of dying, a time of darkness. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]It came from the ocean in the west. A thick fog rose, blotting out the sun. The nearby kingdoms are understandably concerned, and sent men to explore. It wasn't dangerous, they found. All men came back unharmed. It was merely menacing, and troublesome to the crops. The following year, it moved. It lumbered forth, at an excruciatingly slow pace. Men were once again sent in. None came back out. The first kingdom it hit was Stocan. They weren't ready. It destroyed them in a mere week. It advanced.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Messengers who had managed to flee Stocan were sent to nearby kingdoms with a message. This was not fog. This was a receptacle for nightmares. Creatures beyond imagination poured from it, destroying everything. No living thing was safe. Men, women, children, even animals were slaughtered when found. Nothing was safe. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Now, only we remain. My Kingdom of Caesion. We're in shambles, the last bastion of humanity. Refugees from the other kingdoms flocked to us. We're overcrowded, food is running out, and our morale is pitifully low. I have opened up my palace to the refugees, and taken command as I should have. However, it may be too late. I fear we do not have much time before darkness consumes us all.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]So this is just an idea I wanted to try. I think the plot itself would work well, but the thing is, I have four playable races. Humans, Elves, Elementals, and a race I made up the Galeborn, which are just winged humans basically. Was wondering if anyone would be interested in playing these races in this setting. Don't really want to make it a creature free for all, because many things wouldn't work well in this setting (demons, angels, dragons, fairies, mythological creatures, etc.) I can post specifics to the races if desired, and any suggestions are welcome.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]If anyone's interested, I do plan on finishing this RP within a week or two to get it up and start. It will probably stay open signups unless something drastic happens that would be hard to keep people up to date on. Then maybe invite only or closed. [/BCOLOR]

And just for reference, writing ability will probably range from Intermediate on up.

Interested, notably in the Elementals and Galeborn. :o

That is honestly a bit surprising to me, I thought people wouldn't like playing a limited amount of races haha.

Would you like more info on them? I have some basic stuff, might expand on them further if we get more people.

Sure, why not?

[BCOLOR=transparent]Galeborn:[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]Tall and lithe creatures with a pair of wings on their back. Their wings vary by where they are from. A Jungle Galeborn would have a parrot's wings, while a Forest Galeborn would have a cardinal's wings for example. Their frame is fragile, and their bones slightly hollow for flight. Their magic capabilities are much greater than any other race, and they can mimic a voice they have heard in the past no matter the gender.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Elementals:[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent][BCOLOR=transparent]Human-like creatures who have an obvious connection to an element. Starting from a young age, a familiar attaches themselves onto the Elemental child, and that familiar is theirs for life. Elementals generally stay where they are most comfortable with their element. They can do minor magic with their element, and are immune to most forms of their element.[/BCOLOR][/BCOLOR]

While only two have interest so far, thinking I'm just gonna go for it, maybe it'll get somewhere. I'll post the link in the thread for you guys when it's up!
