To Whom it May Concern,

You know, life isn't always what it seems... or even what it looks like it's going to seem for that matter. Let me guess, who am I to be lecturing you about life..? I'm the girl who just learned about it the hard way. Your next question is probably just who am I. Well, to answer another one of your many questions, I am Marcie Darrow. Just a normal teenage girl. Well, at least until a few months ago anyways.

You see, being the overly curious person that I am, I stuck my nose where it doesn't belong, heard something I wasn't supposed to hear, and now a bunch of gun-toting, blood-thirsty, suit-wearing, illegally legal governmental puppets are trying to kill me. Fun times, am I right?

Here's the extended version. It was the begining of Christmas break and I left my precious mp3 player in my locker. Of course I doubled back to get it. However, when I was there I over heard voices coming from my science room. Apparently my science teacher is actually a researcher that was testing a mind control device for the FBI on the third period class. The principal was even in on it. Well, a couple of suits caught me ease dropping and I made a run for it. I thought I was safe at home until a few FBI agents showed up on my block a week later.

I'm sending this to you as a warning. I know a few things about computers, okay? Once I hit the road I started doing some more digging. Tried to find out all I could about the projects and stuff they have going down and the people who were after me. I found something else I didn't intend to find though and my natural curiosity kicked in yet again. It was a list. A list of everyone who had somehow breached their security in one way or another, accidentally or on purpose.

Look, I don't know what the hell you did and I don't wanna know right now... though I'll probably ask later... but you just happen to be on that list. You're being monitored and I don't know when they intend to make their move so my personal suggestion is to get out NOW while you still can.

I figured though, why should we let them continue on with all this crap? Even if we're just teenagers, we have rights too! Why don't we all meet up and work something out? Don't ask me what we'll be working out, I haven't thought that far ahead yet. I just know that meeting up and helping each other out is probably the best way to go right now.

What you do now is your decision. If I were you, I'd grab what I needed and any evidence I had laying around and bolt. However, I'm not you so for all I know you could laugh this email off as some kind of sick joke and wait until they kick your door in to believe me. I think I know what the better option here is.

If you do decide to find me, here's what you need to know. I'm somewhere in New York City. Honestly? That's all I can really say in case this email gets high-jacked. I've already had a few close calls already, thank you very much. I'll probably be somewhere with wi-fi, if that helps any. I'll hang out for as long as I can to wait before I have to move on. Then you're on your own.

On a side note, don't try to reply to this email. This is a fake account wired through a VPN under a fake name and all that other good crap. Oh, and don't worry about receiving this either. It will delete itself within 30 minutes of you opening it. See, didn't I tell you I knew a few things about computers?

Good luck! And I hope you make it to me safely...

Sincerely,
Marcie Darrow

marcie_darrow_by_xhelena_skyx-dbua1p2.jpg
Name- Marcie Darrow
Gender- Female
Age- 17
Role- Fugitive
Wanted For- Overhearing information on a top secret government project taking place at her high school.
Personality- Marcie doesn't take crap from anyone. She is very mischievous and takes charge in almost any situation. She revels in disorder and pandemonium, especially when she is the cause of it. She is not a wise person to mess with, seeing as she has a horrible temper and a very short fuse. When she's angry, she tends to say things she doesn't mean. She'll rarely apologize, and if she does, you'd better appreciate it because you must mean something to her. She is very clever, one of her favorite things to do being outsmarting others. She can also be kind of shy and quiet in new situations. When she likes someone, she also tends to go out of her way to make them happy. Very rash and stubborn. NEVER try to convince her that shes wrong you might not live to regret it. She seems tough, though once you get to know her she's nice, as long as you don't piss her off.
Other- Picked up a small, black kitten she named Rebel when passing through Pittsburgh.

Name- Amaranth Lothaire
Nickname- Ama. Azazel to her online friends.
Gender- Female
Age- 18
Role- Fugitive
Wanted For- Accidentally hacking into the International Space Station... while trying to hack into the Pentagon.
Personality- Ama spends most of her time online and blocking out reality. Whether she's streaming videos, playing games, or just chatting with the random friends she makes over the net, it is nigh impossible to pry her away from her computer. On her computer, she is who she wants to be. She isn't just plain, boring, and weird Amaranth Lothaire, she's Azazel the master hacker, hardcore gamer, and the person she wishes she could be IRL. She's a part of a few fringe conspiracy theory groups and helps them by hacking information that they wouldn't otherwise have access to in her own attempt to help 'change the world'. When socializing face to face, she tends to be either shy or sarcastic since she's never really been good at dealing with actual people due to severe social anxiety that her parents never seen fit to try and help her with. No one online knows what she actually looks like. She uses an anime avatar across all social media and gaming profiles. She even designs her in-game avatars after this image.
Other- Mad computer skills. Answers to both Ama and Azazel.

agent_scarett_by_xhelena_skyx-dbua1p8.jpg
Name- James Scarett
Gender- Male
Age- 32
Role- Government Agent
Official Rank- Special Agent / FBI
Personality- James Scarett is the type of person to get things done. Which is exactly why he was made the head of the Project Control. However, he is now in charge of finding the girl that knows about it and silencing her. Agent Scarett is cold and ruthless, not caring in the least that his target is only 17. He's out to complete his orders by any means. While normally pretty chill, he sometimes gets frustrated and loses his cool completely which makes him prone to making bad decisions.
Other- Doesn't play well with others.

as_an_fbi_agent____by_rooftopscribbles_d8rhlo8_by_xhelena_skyx-dbuiu4b.jpg
Name- Ness Janene
Gender- Female
Age- 27
Role- NSA Agent
Official Rank- CLASSIFIED
Personality- Kind of a tom boy that tends to skirt around the rules. Sure she wears the suit and carries the badge, but that doesn't mean she's going to be some case book agent that you can spot a mile away in a crowded room. She likes to fight and shoot things and is also into sports and pro wrestling. According to her, she is the highest chain of command on this operation. She is the one that found out the list had been leaked and now she's calling on all government agencies to send in their best operatives to work under her to get things under control.

Rules
Learn them. Live them. Love them.

1. Obvious. No god-modding.
2. Respect the other people. If your character wants to bitch slap another character and cuss them out, go right ahead. If you want to bitch slap another person and cuss them out, take it out of the thread and preferably to a moderator. I'm not going to handle your petty arguments. At least not nicely.
3. Damn, shit, ass, etc... If you don't like it, don't continue because there is going to be much more of it in the future.
4. Literacy. Learn the word. Love it. Because I do. I'm not going to go all grammar Nazi on you, just please... please... respect the English language... After all. Good grammar is the difference between helping you Uncle Jack off a horse, and helping your uncle jack off a horse. I will behave. Until i 2ee 2hiit liike thii2. OR SHIT LIKE THIS. I do not want to feel like I am being screamed at through text. I, however, will not murder you for one or two misspellings. Everyone makes mistakes. I understand this. Just, like I said. Please don't abuse the English language. It is a beautiful thing.
5. One liners are the enemy. Can we have at least a paragraph? Is that too much to ask? If I see a single sentence post, I will go beyond flipping my shit. I understand writer's block is a common issue, just please don't drop below three sentences.
6. If you have read these rules in their complete glory, please put "Fight for our Future" in your character sheet. If I do not see this, you do not get accepted. Plain and simple. I will tell you that you can have a place once you've read the rules.
7. All characters must be approved by me before joining the role play. This is to prevent stupidity and, once more, to prevent shit flipping.
8. Each person is allowed to have four characters. Two Fugitives and two Agents.
8.1. However, if you have two fugitives, you must at least have one agent.
9. If you are gone for more than a week without giving me a valid reason before you disappear, you will be removed from the RP. We're not all waiting on one person, we want to keep moving. If you are going on vacation or something tell me before you leave.
10. @Petricus Euryale has the same power I do. Listen to him like you'd listen to me. He's my husband and partner in crime. His words are law just like mine are.

@Petricus Euryale I do read books from time to time. An author I love is Pittacus Lore and the Lorien Legacies books, along with the first one in the Reborn spin-off series.

Okay, thank you for replying. To everyone who does read; I am sure that you know and understand this. To those who don't I shall explain.

It must seem obvious to everyone that to appreciate the ending to the book you have to, in order, read the beginning and the middle too. And in the beginning of a book or throughout its length you will pick up little pieces that may not seem relevant but were actually hinting at something much bigger further in. This is known as foreshadowing.

So, in the roleplay both @Helena Sky and I have taken some very careful steps to foreshadow the future plot line. Now whether or not you notice them is fine. Some are obvious whereas others are rather well hidden with quite the slow burn.

Unfortunately I have noticed that some of us have not been as careful about reading past posts and adapting that information into their own posts. Sure, some things are fine and don't really matter. A few cause a few minor continuity issues that are annoying but not too troublesome. While a few have created some serious plot holes for future developments.

So I'm going to point out a few things and then ask you all to be a little cautious about writing posts from here on. Here's the few things that I want to point out:
  • The email that Marcie sent to everyone was sent to them three days ago. And after being opened the first time it ran a small snippet of code to delete itself thirty minutes after opening. So, yeah... This is a big one that has kind of made some plot holes guys...
  • Misinformation and communication barriers very much affect the world that we live. And you may have noticed that some characters have real names, online names, and names for their avatars. This is a little one but not too important for now. But some characters are going to make mistakes or get confused and lead to them accidentally misinforming others. Keep this one in mind for the future. You'll see xD
  • There is a certain virtual intelligence program on a phone with a nice little attitude of his own. While his attitude is fun and endearing and charming (I really like Lockheart), there is a reason that he behaves this way. Without giving too much away: He is not an actual A.I like in the movies or anything. Think more along the lines of Siri or Cortana. So he can't go rogue or anything like that. But his code is slightly damaged and he is missing certain functions. One function that seems like him having a bad attitude but is really a broken line of code is the standby mode. He can not go into standby mode. This one will also be used in the future so keep an eye out for it when it pops up here and there.
  • In my first post with my runaway, Louis, he rode into NYC on the bus. If you read the post then you would know that he accidentally dropped his key ring. And the USB drive attached to it. Which will, much later down the line, be discovered in the lost and found before being turned over to the authorities. Just a little thing that will come back to bite the runaways in the ass.
Don't worry, not angry or anything like. Not bitching at anyone. But it is a little annoying to see our writing being ignored. And we have quite a few plans that really rely on the small details. So please try to pay attention to everything that you possibly can. The details REALLY matter.

Thanks guys.

Bt-dubs loving the diverse cast of characters we have. Also very happy that everyone is kind of posting in the same formatting style xD

Oh! Since technolgoy plays such a big role, if you guys have any questions then feel free to ask me!

I very much noticed that Louis dropped his keys with the USB stick on them. I immediately thought that it would get turned into the authorities at some point and at least ruin Louis' chance for not getting captured.

I honestly have no idea? XD I mean, you were talking about how something came online. (Sorry, I'm reading this while at school) which could alert the Government and they'll get a location point and come zooming in. I don't know though lol.

I'm just waiting on one post before I swoop in. Just letting everyone know I'm still hanging around. Just waiting =33

Hmm... I think it was the fact that Lockheart had connected location services to the USB drive, possibly allowing the agents to get his location when they find the USB stick.

Close. So very close. Making me proud here TechVamp

But they are two separate hints. The first being that Lockheart is installed on the missing USB for when the police find it. The second hint is that Lockheart (due to his bad coding) has enabled location based services on the phone, allowing the government to use it to track them later. The USB is not currently online, has no power, and is not actually connected to anything yet. But once someone - the government - connects the USB to something they will find Lockheart waiting for them. Which will lead to all kinds of fun xD

Now that I've written a damn book XD

Lol, I still can't wait. Lockheart VS the feds. So much shit will be flipped XD

@TheTechnologicVampire

Erm, ya'll know that phones work the same no matter where in the world they are, right? Using a UK phone in the US still connects you to a cell tower in the US exactly like a normal phone, right? Hence how I can still use my own phone in the US despite it and myself being from the UK (irl).

And as for not using any roaming services... Didn't Xena check the email from her phone in your first post? Unless the gas station had wifi, she was paying a lot of money to connect to the internet all to risk getting caught.

And debit cards leave the exact same digital trail as credit cards, showing where they were used and what they were used for. It's the occurrence of debt itself that is traced in such an instance. But rather the card.

For people to note: Typically ATMs have cameras so when the debit card is used then she was likely on camera. So using the card to get money would be risky. But worse yet is paying by card. As even debit cards record the when, where, and what for of the purchase. Information that your bank all holds on to. Hell, it can even be printed out as a statement for convenience...

This, all of the this:
"It seems that your cell phone is currently under illegal surveillance, sir. Would you like me to phone the authorities and report this for you?" offered Lockheart.

This is why people don't last long on the run in real life. It's just a matter of time before they make a mistake.

I knew I should've fucking ask before posting!!! I already edited Scarlett's posts and I hope I did it right this time. Let me know if it's all good now.

Also, I noticed that Lockhart dropped his keys with his USB in the bus. It was pretty much obvious by the lots of details you said x'D

I can't wait to see how this story develops and I'm ready to release the sexual bea-... I mean, Lilith! I'm ready to finally make Lilith's debut post.

Quick question: can Scarlett find out that Alexander is in NYC after finding out on his browser history links to buy tickets for an airline and some notes he threw on his trash bin? This could be cool and probably piss off Marcie later. x'D

Sure , just don't throw Marcie out to the slaughter when she does get pissed.

I honestly never intended her to be this way, but I'm trying so hard to cover everyone's tracks and loopholes through which they were probably tracked. She was never meant to be this harsh or angry >_>

Yes, I know that. I bet everyone will understand her at the end. She's just trying to keep everyone safe and just for letting you know, Alexander will realize that later and will have sympathy for her.

Honestly, I needed to hear that, so thank you. Between all my characters I've felt a little ganged up on and unable to catch a break, but I have some hope now. =33

Having block with this. Think I'll drop. sorry.

@daemon_reaver Don't apologize. It's alright. I know how hard it can be to integrate into a RP once it gets going full steam as fast as this one did.
