(Crap, I'm having the hardest time trying to figure out how to break it to her.....ugh.)
 
(Maybe just go with the not very sensitive dad thinking that she'd just be delighted to do it for her country?)
 
( Hmmm, I was just thinking that he does love his daughter, but he wants the best for her. Let's say her mother is dead and she's his only family.)
 
(So he's trying to make sure that she is taken care of?)
 
( Not exactly.......it's good for his country, too. It isn't a particularly strong love, either.)
 
(Oh, I understand! So, he thinks he's got all the right answers and there is no way this will go wrong?)
 
(Yeah, he's pretty sure she'll accept it. He is a famous noble's son after all. He's got looks, education, money, and power.)
 
(Okay, so he'd just confidently throw it out there and expect either little or no objections. In fact he'd probably expect an extremely thankful daughter.)
