::History::
Once upon a time, Lilit had lived on their world and watched it die, as the earth starved them and the air strangle the breath from their lungs. Great clouds of smoke and ash had obscured both moon and sun from the pale green sky, driving them underground into the warmth of their dying home. Then, she had fled alone, as the leader of a host and with the promise of finding a new home. But each plant they passed was as theirs, dead and barren of all life. They sought a new earth. And lo and behold, terra nova became apparent to them. So much life and energy, to rebuild and subjugate such pitiful societies that had arisen on the bountiful plant.
Lilit had grown up as a warrior of her family, the chosen applicant for the battle school and one of the most determined to ever pass through the academy. She had secured her position as commander in a time of inner conflict and war, driving her higher into the ranks as impoverishment and starvation set in, as plague swept through them and thousands died as the sun turned it's back on them.
The gods had abandoned them and so they turned on the gods, they left with what little they had. She left the still cooling corpses of her family, emaciated and dead, not of hunger but the acrid smoke that had claimed their earth in great clouds and driven them mad, suffocating and asphyxiating.
The Earth would be theirs, so they could rebuild themselves and become who they were, the protectors of their society. They have delved deep under the mountains, biding time as the Guardians arose from their deep sleeps and Lilit paces her mountain hall, the slap of claws against stone not unlike the clash of steel on steel.
For war is treading it's dark footsteps to the entrance of Atlantis and there will be a war unlike any this earth has seen.
The dark eyes glint in the subterranean light and white teeth split the dark.
The dark is rising.
