Atlantis: The Era of Guardians

Atlantis... The Lost City... Everyone has heard the tale of the lost empire. It is a myth as old as time itself.

The legendary empire was once a powerful city, surrounded by the large Atlantic ocean over 6 thousand years ago. Technology was advancing every day and over a thousand Atlantieans lived peacefully ruled by a wise leader who found favor with the gods. Life seemed perfect for while, but nothing can stay perfect for long. Years passed and soon their leader thought he was more powerful than the gods and he betrayed the gods. In return the gods sunk the powerful city and the empire was washed away with the waves of the ocean.

But, that is far from the truth, for one god took pity on the great city and saved a chosen few to remain as guardians of the world. These guardians were graced with an elemental power and a special gift, a dragon egg. These chosen few raised these mighty creatures into powerful warriors. The reason? To become the saviors of the earth. They raged wars and fought off the creatures that we couldn't even dream of. Wars raged and the guardians reigned victorious as the threats to their mighty empire and the earth were destroyed one by one. Though the gods feared that these chosen few were becoming too powerful and forced the guardians into hiding back in the ruins of the city. In an attempt to stop the guardians the gods cursed them, so that they may never leave the cursed city ever again.

Although nobody has ever seen their real form, most people say they have a black blob of a body with horns and terrible, razor sharp, huge claws that they use to slice open the body of their victim and eat their soul. They have run out of life energy on their old planet and have found that earth is full of energy and life, everything they hate. They take on the form of a human being, with a few down sides, they have pure black eyes and a forked tongue.
With the many disappearances and conflicts in the world, the guardians must arise, but from where? You are the new guardians, destiny calls you to awaken and fight, for you are the Atlanteans last hope for survival and the last hope for your own world as well.

You are a regular human, nothing special. Or so you thought, Until one night you are kidnapped and taken to the lost city. You awaken to a girl who stands before you with a smile on her face. Her only words to you are "Come Guardian.. Your Destiny Awaits.."

A little over a hundred Atlantieans remain in their beloved city. Ruins of the old city were re built and are protected from the human eye by a cloaking device. The city is protected by the old guardians, who are weakened by the gods curse. They roam the skies on their winged beasts and the other citzens go on with everyday life in the city. Their main goal, to track, fight, and protect the weaker beings of earth, meaning the humans.
