The simplified version of how Holo (and any "launcher" app) works is that it totally replaces the look/feel of your phone's default OS. You can use it consistently (open up the launcher app and set it as the deafult launcher in your settings- normally the app will tell you how to do this). Or you can use it for special occasions (your phone will ask you which launcher to use, select Holo "just once" for whatever it is you're opening).

I do the "just once" thing while installing different launchers to see if I like them or not. Then when I find one I like, I set it as default and just forget about it. There's a "Computer Launcher" if you ever want to make your phone look/act like a desktop computer (and thoroughly confuse you for a few minutes as you hectically try to figure out how to uninstall it when you realize you don't like it like you thought you would! LOL)

SwiftKey works by replacing your default keyboard. It has really awesome word prediction. And you can use "flow" (which is totally optional) which is dragging your finger along letters to create words instead of actually typing them. The keyboard can also have a somewhat custom layout, better alternative language input/prediction, skins/themes, better placement, etc. Also has limited (optional again) gestures support.

Definitely check out SwiftKey!

I can understand if anyone thinks launchers are way too complicated and doesn't want to try them because of that, though. XD

SwiftKey is super simple to use/figure out, however.

Probably! It caught on to my hawaiian and japanese words pretty quick. I think you can manually add things to the dictionary too but I haven't looked too hard. I know you can erase words and tell it to not learn curse words.

Oh, I also use "Open Camera"
It replaces the default camera and it is GREAT if you like to imagine yourself a pro photographer lol.
- overlay options: grid, rule of thirds, direction, degrees lat and long, level guide that turns a color you specify when you're holding the phone level
- can do video too
- white balance and exposure options, etc.
- very long settings menu so you can turn everything on or off to your preference easily

For someone who sucks at drinking water, Plant Nanny is really nifty.

JustWrite is pretty neat as well. I like minimalist apps for writing; helps tune out distractions.

So, after using swiftkey for a few days, I'm in love now. It even lets me use the swipe-like function to write porn posts!

My only beef with it is minor and probably fixable in the settings. After I swipe in a word, it auto-spaces, and then I have to delete each character manually if my fingers went onto the wrong keys.

I was tricked into playing Mandrake Boys. I was promised interesting gameplay by a cruel friend; I was given idle game of collecting stills of deformed boys. This is day 3 and I'm still playing this because I guess I've long lost my dignity as a gamer and/or I've lost my mind.

Found another cute game.

Merge Dragons.

Holy hell, it's addictive. ToT

go into settings -> Typing & Autocorrect -> show predictions after flow.
(it's the very last thing). I THINK disabling that will fix it.

Otherwise it might just be autocorrect in general, and you should just disable that entirely.
I don't use swype very often but these are the only options I can think of that would affect what you're describing.
