I like Fantasy, Modern, Modern Fantasy, Yaoi, Yuri, and Romance. Please do not be shy in bringing up another genre. I just might be interested in it ^^

I can do incest and Mpreg as well
Here's the gist of the RP. This was posted before but everyone disappeared before things really got going. I wanted to post this up again and see if it'll be different ^^

  • Welcome to Velsaea, a country that is run by the rich and the poor are left to die. Nowadays, it is those with the most gold and diamonds who make the laws and handsomely paid mercenaries are present to enforce them. Those who are fortunate enough to be born into wealth receive whatever they want and can get away with just about anything. The poor are left to fend for themselves, fear striking through them every time they leave the house because of the chances of getting hunted for sport, robbed, or being kidnapped.

Queen Ora was a kind and noble woman who spread a peaceful humanitarian mindset towards her country and its different regions. People within the rich and powerful did not enjoy this message the Queen was trying to push onto them. They despised the idea of the poor receiving civil rights, or that their fortune was gradually disappearing due to Queen Ora's high taxation on the rich. So one day, during the Queen's speech, they hired an assassin who killed the Queen before she and her summon(s) could even react. It was rumored that this assassin was a summon as well due to their ability to kill before the civilians even knew what happened.

She was killed as an example of what happens to those that try to change the status quo. After which, everything fell apart.

10 years later, Ora's country had become an Upper class paradise with Middle class receiving some of the benefits. The poor was completely dismissed as being people. They are now used as whatever the rich deems fit.

Your characters will be a small group with your summons whose desire is to push this Queen's message. Your cause will become more and more difficult to fight for the more popular you become. Some people will want to help you, and others will try to kill you. Will you be able to change the country for the better, or will you become an example like the Queen?

  • 1. All Iwaku rules apply here
    2. I don't have a limit on how many characters you can play, but I would like for there not to be an overwhelming amount of Summons to humans
    3. Speaking of Summons, they are expensive. If your character is poor, you must explain how they were able to obtain one. Middle class could save up and purchase it, and Upper could purchase one no problem. You are allowed to have more than one should it come down to it.
    4. Please no OOC drama. IC drama is fine.
    5. Speak with me first if you have an idea for the RP. I'll hear you out, I promise. I just don't want to hear how we can make the RP revolve around your character.
    6. These rules are subject to editing, and I will add more when I see fit
    7. Summons and Summoners will be partnered up by random. Unless you have a good reason as to why you don't want to be partnered with the specific person picked, you and your partner will stick together.
    8. Please no OP characters, Godmodding, or metagaming

  • This RP will use copper, silver, gold, and diamond coins as currency. By this RP's standards, a single copper coin is worth next to nothing while diamond coins are the most valuable thing you can get (especially if you're poor).

    5000 Copper coins = 1 Silver coin
    1,000 Silver coins=1 Gold coin
    100 Gold coins=Diamond coin

The poor will usually have 10,000 Copper coins or less
Middle class usually have 500-1,000 Silver coins average
Upper class usually have at least 500 diamond coins or more in their entire fortune.

A single summon would cost about 10 diamond coins. Middle class could afford a summon if they saved up or had a bit of help from other relatives. The poor would never be able to buy a summon unless they found said scroll or saved up for many many years to get one.

There are no refunds when purchasing a Summon, so it is entirely possible for an Upper class or Middle class individual to throw away what they bought due to dissatisfaction of their purchase.

  • The Summoners are basic human beings who will have to be 16 years old or older. All of them will have access to medieval era weapons. The most difficult to obtain for personal use would be guns or projectile weapons excluding spears and bows and arrows. Guns, crossbows, and weapons of that calibur will only be accessible by Upper class, and even then the weapon and ammunition will be expensive.

All of you will be able to have one large weapon or two small weapons. A large weapon can include things like axes, spears, naginatas, or a bow with arrows. Small weapons include daggers, throwing blades, etc. Summoners can have a custom weapon if they like, but those in middle or lower class will have a harder time obtaining sharp and powerful weapons.

Humans can only wield their Summon's blades and weapons if they are accompanied by said Summon. If not, the raw magic can be too much for them and destroy the nerves within their arms. More or less paralyzing them.

The poor will only know how to talk, about self defense, and any survival skills they learned while fending for themselves.

The middle class will know how to talk, read and write, self defense, and a few survival skills here and there. Nothing major.

The upper class will know how to talk, read and write, know advanced math and history, but will know minor self defense skills since they did not have to worry about getting attacked. These people will require the most patience and training.

Your Summoner is adaptable to your Summon, which means they will be able to shape their fighting style to complement the Summon's abilities. Be sure to work with your Summon and shape up to be the best team you can possibly be.

Another thing to note is that strengths and weaknesses will be a thing. A 16 year old girl will never overpower a 25 year old man unless all she did as a child was work out into a bodybuilding beast. It will also be difficult for your character to be a natural at fighting or be a master at anything if they are really young. Take age into consideration, because the older your character is, the more experience they have.

When you receive your Summon, the Summon and Summoner will be linked together. If the Summoner chooses, they can release their Summon back to their realm or destroy their scroll and send them back by force. The Summon themselves can destroy their own scrolls if they dislike their Summoner, but they will not be able to physically injure them.

Trades can happen, but it takes a lot out of both parties magically and physically. The Summoners can exhaust themselves into a coma.

    Vessels

Vessels are Summons who are the offspring of a Summon and Summoner. They will usually hold the power of a Summon within their grasp, but it will be at the cost of the parent. Children of Summon/Summoner couples are dangerous if the mother is human. The power they hold is unstable to their small beings, and without the power of another Summon parent to balance it out, the baby will die during birth. More often than not, the Summon will sacrifice the other half of their magic to keep the child alive. The mother or father Summon will die, but their offspring will live on in their place.

Vessels can vary from how human they are to where they stand in the class structure of society. They will usually hold glowing eyes, and their powers will need to develop before they can become as powerful as their parent.

Vessels all range on the scale of emotionlessness. From hollow and empty to hardly noticeable. They only feel complete around the presence of another vessel.

VESSELS ARE UNCOMMON, so every other character should NOT be a vessel!

  • Summons are divine beings and creatures with access to magical abilities and spellblades. These beings wield the same type of medieval weapons as humans, except theirs are enhanced. These beings can be anywhere from the age of 100 to 100,000, since their manner of aging is slower than humans. But time runs much faster than the human realm.

Your Summon can be whatever you think of since the Summons' realm is a very far fetched and fantasy driven location. If you'd like your character to look like a normal human, that is possible. If you'd like them to become a human representation of a Chinese Zodiac, you can do that as well. If your character is a talking parrot, that's fine too.

If your Summon is OP, they will not be accepted. Please ask me if you have any questions

    Your Summon can work in these different ways;

~Attacker (Will attack at Summoner's request, no matter who it is)
~Defensive (Protect Summoner at all costs)
~ Purely Supportive (Can enhance the strength, speed, and apply magical entities to the Summoner's weapon of choice. Will be completely defenseless at the cost of making the Summoner stronger than the two below can do.)
~Supportive Attacker (Can enhance the strength and speed of the Summoner or sacrifice speed or strength enhancement to make Summoner's weapon stronger. Will be a glass cannon sort of deal)
~Supportive Defensive (Can enhance the strength and speed of the Summoner or sacrifice speed or strength enhancement to make Summoner's weapon stronger. Cannot attack.)

Summons are not at all adaptable in their style of fighting. Given that they've used this style for a long time, this is really all they know how to do. Asking them to change the way they do things is next to impossible.

  • Human/Human and Summon/Summon relationships naturally blossom, with Summon/Human relationships being not as uncommon as one might believe. It is entirely possible and not frowned upon to begin a relationship with your Summon/Summoner. Gay/Lesbian relationships are also not frowned upon; it is just your social class that you have to worry about.

Should your character become pregnant during the rebellion, they must fall back and find another way to help. Be it spies or suppliers. Or, if they are a Summon, they must return to the Summons realm and wait out the pregnancy. Babies take about 1 month human realm time to grow and be born in a Summons realm.

Considering that this is the medieval era, marriages can happen left and right. Your crushes and romantic interests can be misconstrued as love. Divorce is possible but a social taboo. You do not have to court someone for years to marry them. Upper class are usually arranged into marriage to keep the wealth alive.

    RPmap.jpg

The BLUE streams are the fresh water accesses while the dark blue is the ocean. Will be useful if you run out of resources.
The GREEN areas are where homes and different villages reside. Depending on the main demographic will depend how you are treated there.
The PURPLE ARCHES are the Summons Gates. This is where the Summons are bought or the Summons turn in their scrolls to be summoned again if their human is killed/or breaks their ties.

The DARK RED territory is the first region. This is where the rich reside and is most prominent, the most dangerous area to tread. Mercenaries run rampant the most through this area. The capital Wyvoral, where the lawmakers reside, is walled off for the rich's protection. The weather is most pleasant there, so that will not be a worry should the story go that far. You will not be welcomed here.

The LIGHT RED territory is the second region. This is where rich, middle class, and the poor reside, making it just as dangerous if not a little less so than the Dark Red territory. The rich here kill, kidnap and take whatever they want from the poor. The poor usually reside underground unless they absolutely need something. The weather conditions here go from extreme very hot Summers or very chilly Autumns. Mercenaries are present and very prominent. Choose who you talk to carefully.

The REDDISH(ISH) BROWN territory is the third region. This is where mainly the poor and middle class people live. The land has nice weather and is pretty safe. However, it is suffering major overpopulation. Its resources are running scarce. Mercenaries are about, but they do not give you a second glance if you can offer them food or water. You are welcomed there.

The DARK BROWN territory is the fourth region. This is highly populated by poor people who are suffering scarce food. The water supply is seemingly endless though, which is perfect. However, it won't matter much during their harsh Winters. The people here are resorting to cannibalism to stay alive. Mercenaries do not tread these areas for fear of becoming dinner. Watch your back and you'll be fine.

The LIGHT BROWN territory is the fifth region. This island is where people escape to to get away from the rich's tyranny. Everyone is treated equal and is a safe haven. This will be where the rebellion is formed and the characters will take a boat to the closest region. No mercenaries tread these areas because it is not known to the rich yet. You are always welcome here and people are happy to help.

  • During the Vaea period was when the Summons were first introduced among the Human realm. The first King had received word about something truly magnificent, something that he must see for himself. An unknown sense, an aura so to say, could be felt around the human who discovered this piece of paper. It was said that such a thing had appeared out of nowhere. The man swore that he had no idea where it had come from; just that the scroll appeared at his farm. He followed the instructions and dabbed a bit of his blood on the scroll. The Summon to first introduce herself was known as Tempest Gale. A woman, half ice half human, appeared before the farmer. Of course the farmer was frightened, but had it not been for Tempest's kindness and calmly instructing him of what he had just done, it would have begun a new era of prejudice against Summons.

Her sudden appearance struck fear among the humans, but her peaceful arrival settled them down. Tempest had come to examine the resources amongst the humans, and perhaps organize a treaty between this realm and the Summon realm, a different world where people like her were plentiful, but dying due to lack of resources. Intrigued, the King decided to give her a chance.

The two built the first Summons Gate in Wyvornal, the farmer and other volunteers helping as well to build such a wonderful thing much more quickly. Tempest had to use her magical abilities to open the entry way for the portal. Though all that came forward was another scroll. The King had an Advisor open the scroll and follow the instructions. This time, another Summon came forth. This was a male Summon that more resembled a bird than it did male. He felt hot to the touch, with his wings behind him leaving embers with each flap. The man was known as Phoenix, and he happily thanked the King for trusting his companion enough to summon him. He explained about the issues within the Summons realm, and asked if there was anything they could do to have access to some of their resources.

The King and Phoenix signed a treaty after coming to an agreement. King Vaea would allow the Summons access to the plentiful resources of the Human realm so long as the Summons were available for manual labor or any form of favors. Of course these favors do not include sexual, murderous, or humiliating, which King Vaea was happy to agree to.

The Summon contracts never lasted as long as they do now, ever since the wealthy had taken over. Summons had usually come to share knowledge, help with science, or whatever tasks they never broke a sweat doing. Back then, Summons didn't cost a fortune so everyone had access to at least one. And in return, the Summons gained access to weapons, food, and drinkable water. All was well, until the humans began to use them for war. Summons, realizing what was happening, had the choice to be summoned and destroy their scrolls, or allow themselves to be summoned and train for battle on their down time in their realm.

  • Queen Ora grew up in quite a lavish lifestyle, as expected of one from royalty. She was very spoiled and remained spoiled until the time of her death, though still held a kindness unique in her own. She was very unforgiving and quite easy to hold a grudge against others. The only reason the treaty between the Summons and the Humans remained in tact was because the Summons were incredibly useful. Ora, though she was not exactly a beloved Queen, she had a humanitarian mindset. She believed that looking down on the poor simply because they had less money was wrong. But rather, they should be looked down upon if they were lazy and contributing nothing to the country. Ora, ever since she was 16 years old, was pushing this message alongside her Summons as Queen. She increased taxes on the rich simply because they were rude to her, and had taken out a bit of forestry in favor of supplying the Summons realm.

She was also incredibly smart and gifted in the ways of a tactician. Had she not been queen, she would have definitely joined the military. Though she did get a taste of the military lifestyle as she was able to supply her Generals and their Summons with well thought out plans should any outside regions try to come in and take over.

At the age of 28, she was killed by the assassin. Since she never married, there was no one directly to ascend the throne, leaving the kingdom at the mercy of the wealthy. Some people actively seek out these relatives in the hopes that they will come forward and claim the throne.

I'm not really sure whether to join this with a Summoner based around a humanised, genderbent Transformers character, or make a Summon character like that.

Hmmm...

Either way, the character sounds interesting C:

If I get enough interest, I can't wait to see what you make.

The question is, whether I should make her a Summon or a Summoner.

She's based around a humanised, genderbent version of the Transformers Prime version of Optimus Prime.
This is a picture of her:
PAlNRlD_d.jpg

She also has a mask that she can put over her nose and mouth to represent Prime's battle-mask, along with regular golden swords alongside the glowing katana.

Not sure whether to have the glowing katana as a Summon weapon and then have the golden swords and a gun as her regular Summoner weapons.

What are we talking, in terms of era for gun styling?

The glowing katana is supposed to represent the Star Saber, by the way.

Ah.

I gotta say, the art is pretty cool and props to whoever made this.

However, this is a medieval fantasy kind of thing, and Summoners and Summons are two different people. One person can't be a Summon and a Summoner.

The only way this character could have glowing swords would be if she were a Summon. Also, the only types of guns your character would be able to have is a revolver or a musket type of thing. If they had two golden swords (no gun cause they wouldn't be able to afford it), your Summoner would have cool weapons for very little pay off, because they would be sacrificing their power, financial status, and their safety for gold swords.

Aside from those issues, I think the genderbent transformers girl belongs more in a scifi kind of RP than this one.

I meant that the katana would be her weapon as a Summon, and the regular swords in the masked picture would be her weapons as a Summoner. Though, I could swap them out for a hand-cannon style revolver if that's ok.

And I thought her clothes could fit either sci-fi or fantasy.

Ah okay, I misread that then. Cannon style revolver would work.

I could see how it would work, but I'm still a bit iffy on it. We should save the discussion until there's interest. Wouldn't want you planning your character for nothing.

I'll keep and eye out for this. If it gets some more attention I'll probably join as a Summon... unless everyone tries making those, in which case I'll make a summoner.

@Jessica2477
I have returned now that I see a reboot is happening after all. I shall be using my character from last time, you want me to throw it in here, or wait for the ooc? I know I've got Shirou tucked away in here somewhere... And hello again.

Hello again! You can repost your character in the OOC if I get enough interest

Mmk, I'll be waiting then. Hopefully it turns out better this time.

I think the problem was people stopped responding and everyone up and left without a word. Hopefully that doesn't happen again.
