"Ah-ah." Foxy took another step forward so that he was in front of Blair, his sharp-clawed metal feet hanging halfway off the front of the stage. "This be the Cap'n's Cove, savvy? I be in charge!" Perhaps it was because this was his first day back in ages, or maybe he was still feeling self-conscious, but for today at the very least, the old pirate wanted to be the center of attention. He certainly deserved it, after being stashed away and neglected for so long. "I'll be introducin' ye. Don' touch me ship." His eyes flashed. "Or me treasure. That booty be mine! Stay back there." He gestured toward the obstacle course. "Make sure th' lads an' lasses don' trip n' fall. If someone takes a tumble..." He lifted his hook, pointing it toward a small and clearly out-of-place white box hanging on the wall, its writing faded and indiscernible. "That there be a first aid kit. 'S got band-aids and stuff."

Foxy could distinctly remember that most of the kids who somehow hurt themselves in the pizzeria did so in his Cove, usually while climbing around on the obstacle course or running about on the deck of the ship. He knew basic first aid. Blair would have to learn, as well.

The second the doors open, people flooded in. Foxy's grand return was heavily advertised by the company, so a lot of parents, flanked by kids of all ages, had come flocking to see him. It didn't take very long at all for the first birthday party to shuffle in--the band was happy to sing and play Happy Birthday for the lucky girl. Foxy hung dangerously on the sturdy rigging of his ship, hooting and hollering. He merrily introduced Blair as 'that yellow-bellied greenhorn.' There were so many kids clamoring to have a go at the obstacle course and the ship in Pirate Cove that the management had to station two employees at the stairs to make sure only a certain amount of children were on stage at a time. A bunch of them gathered around the wheel, where Foxy was babbling on about his adventures in the frozen north and that time he fought and won against another infamous Pirate Fox, called Blacktail.

Apparently, Foxy's aversion to being touched didn't apply to children. They climbed all over him and grabbed and tugged on his ears, hook, and tail. Some even sat in his lap while he was telling a story. One little boy was even brave enough to ride around on the fox's shoulders and turn the ship's wheel. It was like he was a completely different creature when interacting with children. He certainly looked happy--much happier than he was last night.

If only those kids that were grabbing at his hook and marveling over the four distinctive golden teeth hidden among the shiny white ones in his mouth knew what those deadly weapons were up to the night before...

Blair sat up on top of his 'throne', watching Foxy interact with the children. A small whimper pushed past his pink lips, but there was no way the other male could actually hear him. It made him feel really horrible about himself, but it was Foxy's grand return. His tail drooped, but the second Foxy turned the attention to him, his tail started to wag and wiggle happily, ears perking up. "H-hello." He squeaked out, blue eyes gazing at the kids happily.

But soon, all of the kids flocked around Foxy, listening to his stories. It seemed like no one wanted to interact with Blair, but he knew that was going to happen. He was happy to just watch, honestly, but he'd love some play mates, too. IT seemed like the blonde was jealous of, not only Foxy getting attention, but also of them only talking to Foxy...Blair wanted to be the one to climb on the animatronic and be able to talk to him...

There was a low growl and Blair lowered his head, hands gripping the cushion tightly.

Really and truly, Foxy was the one who deserved most of the attention today. He was finally able to perform again after being isolated in Pirate Cove for more than a decade. The other animatronics certainly won't going to blame him for hogging the attention of the children and outright refusing to share the spotlight with Blair. Now...if he behaved this way the following day, then it was clearly getting out of hand, and if Blair mentioned this behavior to Freddy, the big bear would likely have a terse discussion with Foxy about it.

As the day wore on and more children flooded into Pirate Cove, some of the attention finally began to shift from Foxy to Blair, though the vast majority of it remained centered on the pirate fox. Foxy only left his precious Cove once. A young child tugged him by the arm, demanding that he help the band on the other stage sing Happy Birthday to him. Ordinarily, Foxy wasn't allowed to leave the area around his Cove, but the management made an exception this time around. A member of the management took Foxy by the hand and guided him over the invisible barrier--it seemed to be the only way the red animatronic's programming would allow him to cross from one side of the restaurant to the other. When he returned from that venture, Foxy was in a fantastic mood. He was even feeling good enough to sing some jolly sea shanties with the kids.

The band was kept busy with song requests and birthday parties. They had to get bored at some point, seeing as they weren't even allowed to leave their stage, but if they did get tired of it all not a single one of them showed it. They soldiered on through. They rarely broke character during their performance, but inevitably it happened a couple of times. The first time, a teenage girl in the audience took a crack at Bonnie, taunting him about being male with his feminine name and his purple coloring. A subtle twitch of the rabbit's ears betrayed his annoyance, and he playfully retorted that he would make a much prettier girl than the heckler (which incited a peal of laughter from everyone within earshot). The second time, Bonnie cracked a joke about Chica's short stature. The yellow animatronic, clearly ruffled, happily threatened to bean him in the face with her cupcake, which seemed to greatly appeal to the children in the audience--they even egged her on!

The activity in the pizzeria began to wind down around eight in the evening, and by the time the place closed at nine o' clock, it was deserted. The evening cleaning crew arrived to thoroughly sweep the place--it was a complete mess. A mechanic also made an appearance around ten. He went straight for the band on stage. He spent about an hour there, opening panels, adjusting things, and dutifully repairing one of the joints that connected Freddy's ears to his head. He had to scrub them down, as well--that teenage girl from earlier on in the day tossed a slice of pizza at Bonnie after his rude retort. Once finished, the mechanic gathered up his tools and made for the door. He paused about halfway there, his gaze catching on Pirate Cove. He apparently felt no need to work on Blair, seeing as he was so new. The way he looked at Foxy was startling--his nose wrinkled up and an expression of pure disdain crawled its way onto his face. He promptly turned and left the building, without even giving Foxy a well-deserved once-over. Foxy was in such bad shape, it seemed, that the lazy mechanic didn't even want to bother fixing him.

At eleven forty-five, the building was deserted. No night guard arrived--the management was still searching for a replacement. When the clock struck midnight, the four animatronics slowly woke. Foxy didn't even bother joining the others. He was still tired from his first day back on the job, and all he wanted to do was rest. The band carefully climbed down from the stage. Bonnie cracked his mechanical knuckles. "No night guard tonight, huh? Well, good! That's less work for us to do. What do you guys wanna do tonight?"
