Okay... How about, that he was awoken from a stone slumber and got kinda left for the dead more recently? xD
 
Also devils are supposed to be able to hide in plain sight, and he doesn't seem to have a human form, plus his abilities aren't really reflective of a queen, plus why would Akutsuki be in Egypt
 
An simple spell to hide his ears and tail. Unless he would for some reason change body color...

Well many travel to egypt and back for a week or so for the heat and all. I see no reason as to why she couldn't have taken a flight there to bring back a big soveneier.

And well he have the top notch Defence skills of a queen, but I could possibly switch to Rook if you prefer a better mage as queen.
