[BCOLOR=transparent]Founded by Xavier Stellar in the 1800s, the Dominion started out as a small band of witch-hunters operating in America. Today, the Dominion is the 'Illuminati' equivalent in Zodiac, working in secret to protect the world from rogue Zodiacs and rampaging Hollows while it's existence remains a rumor.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]The Operator is a tech-oriented member that utilizes traditional weaponry over spirit energy. Things such as rifles, software, and detailed information are areas in which Operators thrive. It is typically a difficult class to master and takes a few months to be considered an Operator.[/BCOLOR]


[BCOLOR=transparent]Sentinel[/BCOLOR]​

[BCOLOR=transparent]At their core, Sentinels are tanks. They reside on the front-lines and depend on defensive charms to keep themselves alive. Sentinels are trained to maintain their physical state at it's best. They can deal damage but survivability is their specialty. [/BCOLOR]


[BCOLOR=transparent]Templar[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]The Templar specializes in a mixture of melee combat, wards, and charms to be effective. If the Templar isn't directly engaged in combat, he/she is placing wards and buffing both their teammates and themselves. A Templar is required to be skillful in close combat and highly educated with spiritual energy.[/BCOLOR]


[BCOLOR=transparent]Specialist[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]A Specialist is a hardened individual adept in surviving within any environment of either Limbo or earth. Often utilized toward reconnaissance and assassination, it is with daggers, sniper rifles, and stealth based wards that these individuals aid their wits in performing subterfuge and "hopefully" returning home alive.[/BCOLOR]


[BCOLOR=transparent]Scribe[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]The Scribe is less combat focused and rather fulfills a more support oriented role. As its name suggests, a Scribe utilizes ancient techniques of forging magic circles used toward the wards of its allies and numerous other applications. Like the Operator, it is a difficult class to master, and pursuers of the Scribe will spend countless hours training their knowledge and design of the magics.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]The illustrious college located within the upper region of Brookfield. Existing just north of Armstrong Academy, it is this institution that houses the few distinguished graduates from its neighboring school. Founded through the enormous funds of conglomerate heir, Shun Takumi, Ravenwood is the epitome of luxurious design, gifted for the elite that are sponsored. Although appearances tend toward a relative ordinary, it is rumored that an occasional Armstrong student is approached by President Takumi for reasons unknown...Perhaps, darker secrets lie hidden within the institution's walls…[/BCOLOR]

Unbeknownst to the general public, the occasional student is funded through the wealth of President Takumi and directed under the guidance of Head Researcher Cecilia to further our understanding of the world that neighbors ours.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Dark Templar: [/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent]The Dark Templar specializes in melee combat enhanced through the limitless power of Hollows. Using the dark energy extracted from the corrupt spirits, physical abilities are enhanced to inhumane levels at the possible price of one's sanity. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Subjugator: [/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent]As implied in its name, the Subjugator is capable of bending the will of Hollows. Using wards to control the mental state of such spirits, a Subjugator can utilize the beings as their familiars in battle. Similar to the Dark Templar, Subjugators are at the risk of losing their sanity to the constant exposure to the corrupt energy that defines Hollows.[/BCOLOR]

 

[Knight Aarant]

|Daugherty|

The independent coalition of numerous Zodiac Hosts, all banded together to thwart the menace of twisted spirits and toxic Hosts. The Daugherty started off as a humble posse of three Hosts, escaping infamy rooted from their misuse of power. James Daugherty, Anderson Lucas, and Desther "Major" Eliwood.

These three Hosts began traveling together, sharing each others company under like-minded pretenses, and coincidental circumstance. Soon, through multiple escapades involving other solitary Hosts and chance meetings. This group grew, and was lead by the wisdom of James. His psychic powers, and brilliant insight helped his team grow as Hosts. Soon they all took council within the ruins of a town, put under siege by an invasion of infantry long into the past. Marking this place a desolate no-mans land. Here they kept an oath of secrecy and sworn to keep their Host affairs from outside of civilization at the best they could manage. Working behind the scenes keeping the common man and woman safe from life-sapping poltergeists.


The Daugherty NOW

James Daugherty passed away to old age, a year prior to the present. Anderson Lucas was then looked at to be the face, and spokesman for Daugherty given the longevity of his relationship with James. Following Anderson's lead, he keeps the Daugherty unchanged. Though, he has made the decision to have the group move residence to the Dominion HQ, keeping as mutual beneficiaries. Even under the cold, official walls of the Dominion, this outfit keeps their mellow and brotherly atmosphere.

[BCOLOR=transparent]No Zodiac has a set purpose in its afterlife. Their goals vary among each spirit, just as their alignment among the sides of good, evil, and neutral.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Policy: [/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent]Zodiacs can only be created by the GMs or someone approved by the GMs. Given the number of characters that are possible in the role-play, not every member will be appointed a Zodiac. Zodiacs are given out to the individuals who impress a GM, and have a character whom they believe would mesh with the particular Zodiac in question. Please do not beg or whine in an attempt to force a GM to give you a Zodiac. It will not help your chances of getting one, but rather, only make them worse.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Hosts: [/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent]Receiving a Zodiac bestows a fraction of their power upon your character who becomes known as a host. Like everything in life, the usage of this power is [/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent]not a skill[/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent] that is immediately learned. At first, your character will be [/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent]relatively weak[/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent] in terms of [/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent]power and ability[/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent]; however, such aspects can be [/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent]developed over time[/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent] through [/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent]self-training[/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent] or under [/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent]mentors[/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent] who exist within Brookfield.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Non-Hosts: [/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent]Just because you lack a Zodiac's power does not mean you have nothing to do in the role-play. Non-hosts who find themselves involved in matters concerning the Zodiacs will be presented with a chance to develop themselves in ways to protect and assist their allies. Although non-hosts can never be on par with Zodiac users in terms of raw power, strength and combat is not always the answer in this role-play.[/BCOLOR]

Update: There have been a few questions concerning the genre of Zodiac
Zodiac is a slice of life and supernatural roleplay.
Your characters start out as a transfer high school student, and even after the supernatural aspects begin, the base slice of life will still remain.

So sign-ups are still open? Thank goodness, I only just found this. I'm writing up my CS now, just a couple of questions: First, is the picture mandatory? I can never find one. Second, what kind of powers do Zodiacs typically grant Hosts? It doesn't actually specify, besides a somewhat vague reference to raw physical prowess.

We do require a picture seeing you are technically enrolling into a school in the character sheet.
Finally, zodiac powers are very diverse if you are chosen to receive one.
A full list will be uploaded later, but as of now we have blood bending, creation, elemental manipulation, teleportation...among many more.
