The music boomed throughout the steel halls of the building as Kaiden and Jack walked through. At every hook and turn there was someone working, either scrapping or modifying a car. They passed under a lift that was in the way of an elevator that took them down to the basement. As they entered, Jack pressing the button, Kaiden folded his arms behind his back. Today he was taking the day off from the school to settle his transportation issue. In a contract previous to this week, he lost his car to the target having used it to run them over and blow up their base of operations.

"You've been busy," he said, as the automatic doors close on each other. "Well, you know I like to work. Especially when you come around." She chuckled, removing her fire resistant gloves and pocketing them for later. Jack's attire always seemed aid back and unorthodox compared to what you'd expect from other mechanics. Even her casual attire was a bit of a draw, but it was expected from a girl who considers herself a black sheep. Hell, Kaiden couldn't complain considering he came in an all black suit. The heat from all the torch work and less than adequate AC didn't make his choice of attire feel very comfortable.

"You called me saying you had something special?" Kaiden turned to look at her. Jack giving him a shrug and a smirk. "Just a little something I'd been working on since you changed your ways. I figured you deserved something a little sentimental in your life," she trailed off, "Well, a few sentimental things..." As the lift touched down at the basement the doors opened to reveal what looked like a conference room, Jack's "office" as she called it. From wall to wall it was laced with weapons of all kinds, mostly Heckler & Koch which was her favorite contractors. In the center of the room sat a long oval-like table with a phone at the center. At the far side wall was a TV most likely wired to show a feed from the garage in case of trouble. But if Kaiden knew anything, it's that Jack has taken security notes from him.

Gray-Room-panorama.jpg

Kaiden was all too familiar with this room with the numerous contracts he's undertaken. And with every scenario came and new weapon, with a ready and willing Jack to happily sell. She lifted the receiver of the phone and pressed the button to clear the line. Following, a crack would sound and gears turned as the wall sporting the TV would slide towards the right revealing another room. Smaller and yet neat with a table at it's center with lockers lining every wall along with ammo cans, weapon cases, and monitors with simulations of weapons stats flickering across the screen. Kaiden took a step closer to her before she walked into the room and dragged three large weapon cases from the back of the smaller room. Jack lined them side by side next to the table in the larger room, and popped them open.

"What do you got?" He asked with a smile. Jack returned it as she opened the first case. "I know you already have a well decorated personal armory at home, but this is just little something from me. No charge of course."

"First, your everyday all purpose weapon of choice, the assault rifle." She pulled from the case a Steyr AUG A3-CQC, a prototype development of the original AUG A3. It said there were only five models ever made since they didn't exactly take. Kaiden assumed she had to pull some strings to get a hold on one of them.

"Here we have an AUG A3-CQC, equipped with a micro T-1 red dot sight and G33 magnifier for a good handle on range. It's got a match trigger, so no matter how you fire it, it's always gonna be at your pace. You've got a choice between full-auto, semi-auto, or burst if you wanna be refined." She lifted the rifle up and used her free hand to slap the under-slung grenade launcher and display the magazine. "M203 grenade launcher for when you need a little extra firepower, a 30 round magazine, infrared tri-laser pointer on the side rail, and of course a suppressor for stealth. You'll need to buy your own grenades." Jack then placed the weapon back into it's case, "It's bull-pup design so it should be pretty light for you since you like to move around a lot."

"Not bad," Kaiden commented, taking the case by its folded handle and rolling it beside him. Jack clapped merrily as she moved on to the next case big enough to sport two weapons. "Next up, long ranged. Because who doesn't like a little precision in their life?"

She popped the seals and flicked the case open wide to show off the two death dealers, placing them both on the table. "First up, the Remington MSR. This bolt-action rifle can deal death at an effective sixteen hundred plus yards with a maximum of ten rounds in the magazine. Nothing too special besides packing a punch, a TARS101 3-15x50 scope, and suppressor." She gestured her hand over to the slightly shorter, but more outfitted rifle. "This is the SR-25. Compensated buttstock with a G28 precision scope. It gives you choice bewteen a long range view or a short ranged red dot for those dire situations. No need to worry abut rate of fire, this thing fires as fast as you can pull the trigger." Jack tapped her finger against the mag well. "You've got a twenty round magazine at your disposal, an angled fore grip for added accuracy. The side rail has a range finder so you'll know just how well you need to angle your shot. Hopefully, they serve you well."

"Of course," she said as she picked up the next large case, "We'd be heathens to forget about close range." Kaiden stepped beside her and helped her open this last case. The inside revealed a SPAS-12 Shotgun inside, prompting him to comment on it. Jack would nod and pick it up, placing it in Kaiden's hands. "Adjustable stock, eight round magazine, and a compensator at the muzzle. In case you need more buck in your buckshot." Kaiden placed the weapon on the table with the rest. Just as he turned to face her again, she presented him with a compact sub-machine gun. "This is the KRISS Vector CRB. Lightweight and subsonic. Anything you shoot from this thing with a suppressor won't make so much as a whisper. Extended stock, Aimpoint CompM4 red dot sight, full-auto to semi select fire, grip, laser pointer, and twenty-five rounds worth of close range decimation."

He took the weapon from her hands and placed it in the batch with the others, taking a moment to neatly line them up as Jack proceeded to grab the last weapon at the bottom of the case. He heard her make questionable groans and moans as she lifted it, causing him to look back in uncertainty. He'd see her cradling a large machine gun and rest it on the table. "This..." She said with a slight heave, out of breath. "This is the MK 48 machine gun. Belt fed, stock buttstock, EXPS3 holographic sight, 100 round box magazine with a grip and muzzle breaker." She huffed deeply and attempted to catch her breath. Kaiden stepped over and grabbed the weapon one-handed by the carrying handle.

"It's... really not that heavy," he said, using his free hand to rub the back of his head. "I am barely over five feet, you dick, don't judge me," she replied. Kaiden chuckled and took this time to repackage everything she laid out for him, then stacked each case by the elevator. As soon as he finished she stopped him with a tap on the shoulder. "Two more things." Kaiden nodded and followed her back towards the smaller room where she reached into a locker and handed him a handgun and a curved blade. "Heckler and Koch P30L. Fifteen round magazine with a custom muzzle break and built in silencer. And this is a karambit.. Panther's Claw they call it in Indonesia."

The curved blade was five inches in length and double edged. As he examined it Jack handed him the holster for it, to which he'd immediately attach it to his belt. "Thanks, Jack." He hugged her tightly, patting her back and kissing her cheek. She kissed his cheek back then pressed three buttons on the phone. Seconds later a number of men came in the room and grabbed the cases, loading them onto dollies to transport them upstairs to the garage.

"Where are they taking them?" he asked. Jack patted him on the back as she passed him, slapping his chest with her other hand to place a pair of car keys in his hands. "To your new car," she said as she followed behind them. He took the elevator back up an just as he exited it, he saw Jack heading back to her previous station. "I figured I'd give you a new one, since you lost your last one in your last contract. Try not to blow it up!"

"Which is it?" He exclaimed. Kaiden looked down at the control to see he could start it with a click of a button. "Another one of your super car projects, I bet." He muttered, clicking the start up to hearing the powerful roar of a boss 429 engine behind him. Turning around his eyes widened and his brows perked with a satisfied, yet surprised nod to see an all black 1969 Ford Mustang. He heavily expected her to give him something fancy and overly modern. Kaiden never expected her to have similar tastes like him. He quickly checked the trunk to see all of his new gift were neatly placed. Shutting the trunk, then hopping in his new ride and driving out the lot, Kaiden felt today would be generally laid back. At the first light he hit in the streets, he dawned blacked out aviator shades and attempted to turn on the radio.

Before he could flip the switch he heard a ruckus in the alley way to the right of him. It seemed there was to be a show down between a set of delinquents. Some seemed fairly young while the others were just passing their younger years by. Rather than take this time to intervene, or at least watch while holding up traffic, he caught the green light and proceeded to drive himself home. Besides, from what Kaiden saw one of the males was armed with a blade, and their adversaries didn't have anything. Short work would be made of whoever brought a fist to that fight.

The promise of a good meal was enough to keep Ryu content for the moment, sitting down and soon enough the wafting smells of food floated out from the kitchen, not at all the plain boiled smell of vegetables and rice he had been so used to over the last few years. He could have leapt over the bar to take the plate as Jun brought it out, his mouth salivating at the smell.

"Smells brilliant" he complimented Jun when he had slid in front of him and commented on not being fed well inside.

"You've got no idea," he mumbled through half a mouthful of rice after having shoveled it in. He wasted no time in devouring the plate of rice, almost finished by the time Haru rushed back inside through the doors, exclaiming her friend was in trouble and naming where. It had been a long time since Ryu had been in the local streets of the city but he had not forgotten where things were, it was not something that was forgotten after having lived there for some years. Haru was already gone before anything more could be said, Ryu glancing between the remaining guys as he finished the rest of his mouthful.

He had no intention of going to provide back up for the boss's friend, he had just arrived and was firm on his stance when it came to building respect. It was only when Jun had up and left that he paused to consider whether to leave the remainder of his meal and go with him. He had known Jun from previous years with the gang and his sense to protect him overrode the fact that he had not wanted to bother in regards to Haru and his friend. Seeing Jun leave with a blade in hand, Ryu wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and pushed the half eaten plate of rice away, Standing up and glancing to Law who was still beside him.

"Coming?" he murmured, not awaiting an answer or any kind of debate as he walked out the door hot on the heels of Jun. The last thing he wanted was to see someone do what he had done and have to pay for it.

He ran from the doorway, his pace a steady sprint as he followed up where Jun had run, only stopping when there was absolutely no way to avoid having to pause for traffic. He had lost some muscle mass being incarcerated however he had not lost his fitness, quick to climb over the fence where Haru stood with his mate. It was quickly evident that he was protecting a younger girl, no one Ryu personally knew but way outnumbered by the gang who had pursued her. Landing with a thud on his feet just behind Haru and the girl, Ryu flexed his fingers as he walked up to the side of Haru, keeping the girl behind them both protectively as he stared at the opposing gang members before them. The next moments would decide where the confrontation would lead.

Ryder
Location: On the road leading into town

Ryder was currently driving down one of the main roads that led into town, in a van that also carried things he had smuggled in. It used up one of the favors he had, and quite a bit of money. The items he had smuggled in weren't plentiful. But they were of some importance to him.

One was his customized motorcycle. Next were a few firearms. They weren't anything big like a LMG or a minigun. They were just a simple M9 Beretta, an Uzi, and a sawn off Remington pump action shotgun. With decent ammunition for the firearms. He also had a knife or two. And his "outfit" he wore during heists. Seeing as that outfit did have some tactical gear on it, it would've been a waste to leave it to rot somewhere.

Beyond that, he had some clothes, tools, CDs and of coarse currency for the place he was going to.

It took him an hour or two to finally drive into town. Unlike with other places, he wasn't wearing a mask or helmet of some sort. As he had long since learned that wearing something like that drew attention. And he didn't want too much attention right now. He was fine with a passing glance or a few looks. But that was all Ryder was in the mood for.

Driving past an alleyway, Ryder caught a glimpse of a fight going down. From the looks of things, one group were trying to protect someone. A part of him wanted to keep on going. To just drive past. It was none of his business. But then his consciousness got to him. With a mental sigh. He drove down the road that would be closet to the alleyway. Before parking. He reached into the back, grabbing his motorcycle helmet with the highly reflective visor. He also made sure to grab his phone. To communicate via text to speech.

He used to have a tape recorder for that, but pressing buttons took too much time to communicate the right thing to people.

Slipping on the helmet, he shut and locked the van. Before making his way to the alleyway. He started from behind the group defending someone. Walking up past the girl, he stood next to them. Giving a brief nod before turning to face the thugs. Getting ready to fight....

The arrival of Haru in between the pursuers and Hotaru caused the thugs to stop in their tracks, though still with a annoyed look on their face.

"It's the King of Hearts," one of the members said as they noticed Haru better. They stood their ground though, not moving yet even as Haru spoke to them.

"I would really hate to beat you in front of this lovely young lady,"
Haru repeated with similar comments to her original statements. Without giving it away, Haru noticed that Jun arrived behind the group. Good. That meant that Haru would get what she wanted. It didn't take long for Ryu to join them as well, which was more of a surprise to Haru than Jun following her. After all, Ryu was new to her and she hadn't thought he would follow after her.

While the group was in a stand still, the city was still busy around them. They could hear the sound of cars and other vehicles passing by. Perhaps they would be able to notice the situation in the alleyway if they looked. Haru was correct when some strange man with a motorcycle helmet arrived on the scene as well. She didn't know who this man was, but it appeared that he was on their side.

With this amount of people, Haru knew it would be fine if she took Hotaru away. Placing her hand gently but firmly on Hotaru's arm, Haru started to pull her away from the scene.

"I'll leave the rest to you,"
Haru muttered, obviously to all the people who had shown up to assist her while Haru took Hotaru away from the action. She headed back towards the gang's hideout to take her somewhere where she would be safe if other members of the other gang arrived.

Shortly after arriving onto the scene and getting into position, Jun saw Ryu had joined in as well, taking up a stance next to Haru's side. But before he knew it someone else had shown up, a man with a motorcycle helmet seemed to have noticed the scene and decided he wanted to help. With more than enough people to take the fight now, it seemed like Haru planned to take the girl and run. After a few more words to the thugs that were chasing him and the girl, the two took off. As the thugs became pissed they started to charge the direction they were facing towards Ryu and the other stranger.

Jun smirked to himself heh hopefully all that time hasn't left your skills to rusty, Ryu. he thought to himself as he used his sheathed blade to trip one of the thugs from behind while the other two charged ahead. As the thugs turned over to see what tripped him, Jun had put his blade on his chest and was applying a bit of pressure as he spoke to the man under him "oi come on now, what were you thinking, charging after the king of hearts is never a good idea unless your some sort of Masochists......Well either way just sit there and take a little nap for me while we talk to your buddies." Jun's smirk suddenly changed to an evil glare as he stood back up and gave the thugs a swift kick to the face knocking him out before moving to join the others. Running up behind the thug that would most likely have engaged Ryu, Jun called out to him "hey don't knock this one out, lets try and found out who's stirring up trouble on our turf." he said watching Ryu fight, not wanting to interfere with the man's fight unless he truly had to.

There was reason for Ryu to not acknowledge Jun since he was behind the thugs and evidently hadn't been noticed thus far. He had missed half of the confrontation but was present enough to catch the moments which came second, Haru keeping the girl behind him while words were exchanged.

Another figure approached to the side of himself, Haru and the girl which prompted Ryu to glance to his side at the person. The visor of the helmet gave away nothing of the person's identity, though from the way the bike clothing sat upon the figure and the way the person walked, Ryu could reasonably assume this was a guy. The visor reflection was so acute that Ryu could only see himself and the edge of the opposing gang members. Exchanging a nod and assuming the guy was another member of the gang he looked back, finding his mind questioning how many people had come and gone since being inside. It made him angry, having missed four years and feeling the effect of time never ceasing since he had sat in a cell. His clenched fists tightened as he stood at the ready, his brow furrowed as he set his eyes upon two of the opposing thugs. At least this hadn't changed, he was still good at something.

Haru stepped back behind Ryu to take Hotaru's hand and Ryu advanced a few steps as he broadened his stance, nowhere near as opposing as he had once been but still broad shouldered enough to look like someone not to be messed with. He would fix that issue soon, he would get back into a decent routine and workout now that he didn't have guards and a fixed regime to meet. He would build his muscle back up and hopefully find some sense of normality in his world again.

As Haru uttered her final comment the scene opened up for the remainder of the gang members, the thugs charging towards Ryu and the man in the helmet with fetched up yells. Ryu lowered in his stance, one foot placed forward and the other grounded backwards to take the oncoming force as one of the members ran at him, ducking down to tackle Ryu at the waist. Ryu stepped to the left, his right hand reaching to grab the back of the thug's neck and pushing him in the direction the thug had been running. The thug had defensively slowed, swinging his left arm around and punching Ryu in the middle of the back, knocking some wind from his lungs as Ryu turned right to reface him. He brought his left hand up, uppercutting the guy under his jaw before stepping forward, both hands grabbing the man's shoulders as he thrust his right knee into the thug's gut, the man lowering into Ryu as he coughed and choked. Ryu had switched on, his instinct to put the guy down before it was him who was left on the floor. Jun however had shouted out another idea and Ryu had glanced up at him, a glare as he listened. He wasn't interested in making the guy talk and as he hesitated the thug taking an open opportunity to swipe Ryu's legs out from under him, Sending Ryu to the ground as the thug pinned him, punching Ryu square in the face. As his head hit the concrete beneath him, Ryu felt it rattle his skull, spurring him on as he brought his forearms up in defense while trying to gain a point of leverage to get out of the pin.

As the thug threw each punch, Ryu blocked most of them, finding the side of his head hit as he momentarily braced his elbows back to the ground, using his left leg to leverage his lower body from the ground under the thug and flip the two over, having completely ignored Jun as he angrily reversed the pin, his knees pinning the thugs torso as he struck the guy first with an open palm to the nose with his right hand, following with each hand with a solid punch towards the thug's face with force.

It would seem that Ryder was left with dealing with the last thug. The other two currently preoccupied with the other guys defending the girl.

The last thug sized him up, before running in at him. Ryder assumed a defensive stance. Placing his feet in a certain manner, and putting his arms at the ready. Like he was ready to catch something. The second the thug got within range, and threw a punch was when Ryder made his move.

In his time as both former gang member and robber. Ryder learned how to take someone on in one on one combat. His old mentor's words spoke in his head. "Be the one who acts, not reacting." Ryder closed the distance between him and the thug. Blocking the thug's attempt at a left hook, before punching him in the ribs. Which sent the thug stumbling back. "Never hesitate to make your next move. For in that time, your opponent will have already made his move. Which can lead to your defeat. It should be like instinct when you fight." With that in mind, Ryder threw a punch into the thug's jaw. While this did hurt the thug, he shook it off.

He threw a punch at Ryder, but Ryder grabbed the thug's arm. And using the momentum the thug had gained in the windup of his attack, he flipped him over. "Never play with your opponent as you would food. End it as quickly as possible. By any means necessary." Deciding that it was time to end this. Ryder reeled his fist back before sending it into the thug's nose. Breaking it and knocking the thug out.

It would've been easier to kill the thug, but that would garner unwanted attention. From both authorities and the gang this thug had belonged to. He walked on over to where Jun was. Watching Ryu fight. Ryder had to admit, the man had talent when it came to a fight.

Haru left the fight behind, despite wanting to smack them around a few times for chasing after Hotaru. She wished she could have had a little fun with them, teaching them a lesson, but she was going to have to let the others handle that for now. As for her, she had to get her friend somewhere safe and the safest place she could think of for now was the hideout.

So, Haru took Hotaru's hand again and pulled her carefully, along with her. She could hear the sounds of her friends and the newcomer fighting the thugs. But, she was sure her gang would be fine against those pathetic little bugs. There was no way they would be able to do anything for her men.

Haru continued towards the direction of the gang's house, taking the normal way instead of the way that she had gone to get to Hotaru. In a few minutes she saw the hideout in front of her, and she headed for it. She pushed open the door, seeing the other members looking over at them.

"If anyone touches this young lady, you'll have to deal with me, got it,"
Haru stated and gave Hotaru a seat where she could sit down and relax. Now, it was time to wait for the others to come back and report what had happened. Meanwhile, she should probably take the time to explain things to Hotaru, in a way that wouldn't give anything away.
