Whether it's a song you can't get out of your head, or a humorous scene, I want to know what your favourite TV show opening is!

I'm drawn to Star Trek: The Original Series opening; I'm sure you're familiar with it

Space: The final frontier
These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise
It's five year mission
To explore strange new worlds
To seek out new life, and new civilizations
To boldly go where no man has gone before!

Endlessly inspiring *w*

You know how catchy this motherfucker is? I am not old enough to even see any of the show. I've still haven't see a second of it. I heard this through a random ass Seinfeld episode(Seen at the end of that clip), hilariously rewritten by one of the characters in the show to be his answer machine(HOLY FUCK, ANSWERING MACHINES. Shit, that was a while ago...) message. I was nothing more than just a damned snot nose kid, but that fucker stuck with me and I was humming that shit for years. Thanks to the surge of Nostalgia Infused pop culture referencing in every piece of media out thre at the time and the internet itself, this song reemerged from the goddamn 80's and I had to actually listen to what the fuck was the source of this song that has haunted my childhood, despite me not even knowing the source material.

How how naive I was, thinking that it would be the end of it.

LISTEN TO THAT SONG.

THAT FUCKING SONG.

I STILL HEAR IT IN MY DREAMS ONCE IN A BLUE MOON.

BELIEVE IT OR NOT IT'S JUST MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Water. Earth.
Fire. Air.
Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony.
Then, everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked.
Only the Avatar, master of all four elements, could stop them.
But when the world needed him most, he vanished.
A hundred years past and my brother and I discovered the new Avatar,
an airbender named Aang
and although his airbending skills are great,
he has a lot to learn before he's ready to save anyone.
But I believe... Aang can save the world.

I recite this EVERY episode.

Oh gosh, I have to choose one? Hmmm…..

Just listen to that guitar rift~ This had to be my favourite show growing up, right up till the end of G-Rev. I still go back and watch a few episodes now and then. I tend to skip theme songs for most shows, but never this one -w-

Also…

It will never leave

I can only imagine the only reason none of you have mentioned the Swat Kats theme song is because you can't handle how badass it is.

I am so pumped.

Alfred Hitchcock, Dragnet, Get Smart.

The Enterprise series had a pretty nice one too, I know it upset a lot of people that they switched from the old openings though.

The vikings opening because its EPIC and Fever Ray is just the weird kind of music you don't hear to often and while she is relatively new the music sounds ancient. EPIC STUFF.

American Dad, because I freakin' love the newspaper headlines. I especially love the newer seasons when they got rid of the newspaper, and started showing Roger in Stan's car wearing a random costume. xD

I love the catchy song, too.

Good morning, U-S-AAAA~
I got a feeling that it's gonna be a wonderful day!
The sun in the sky's got a smile on its face,
and he's shining a salute to the American raaaace!

Oh boy, it's swell to saaayy~
Good morning, U-S-AAAA!

Hmm. That is a good question. I think that my favourite one was Ghost Hunt's opening. Why?
You really have to ask?

There's a lot of them that get stuck in my head but this is the first one that came to mine.

I love me some Fist of the North Star. It could be the violence, but I dunno!

Space dandy! He's a dandy guy... in space!!!

Or trigun's opening.

The artwork was amazing in this anime, and I personally think the opening song was beautiful. It goes really slow, but the end was so worth the watch~

Now, this is a story all about how
My life got flipped, turned upside down,
And I'd like to take a minute,
Just sit right there,
I'll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel-Air!

In west Philadelphia born and raised,
On the playground was where I spent most of my days!
Chillin' out, maxin', relaxin' all cool,
And all shootin' some b-ball outside of the school
When a couple of guys, who were up to no good,
Started making trouble in my neighborhood!
I got in one little fight and my mom got scared,
She said 'You're movin' with your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air!'

I begged and pleaded with her day after day,
But she packed my suit case and sent me on my way.
She gave me a kiss and then she gave me my ticket,
I put my Walkman on and said, 'I might as well kick it'.

First class, yo this is bad!
Drinking orange juice out of a champagne glass.
Is this what the people of Bel-Air living like?
Hmmmmm this might be alright.

But wait I hear they're prissy, bourgeois, all that,
Is this the type of place that they just send this cool cat?
I don't think so,
I'll see when I get there,
I hope they're prepared for the prince of Bel-Air!

Well, the plane landed and when I came out,
There was a dude who looked like a cop standing there with my name out.
I ain't trying to get arrested yet,
I just got here,
I sprang with the quickness and like lightning, disappeared.

I whistled for a cab and when it came near,
The license plate said "Fresh" and it had dice in the mirror!
If anything I could say that this cab was rare,
But I thought 'Nah, forget it' - 'Yo, homes to Bel-Air!'

I pulled up to the house about 7 or 8,
And I yelled to the cabbie 'Yo homes smell ya later!'
I looked at my kingdom,
I was finally there,
To sit on my throne as the Prince of Bel-Air!
