"!"

Kasumi was little stranger to the tactic that some of her opponents in the past had employed; that of distraction in one way or another, between Zack and the others that she had fought in this very tournament. Still, while the umbrella might have had little effect on her, the sound of the bullets surprised her for a split-second, her mind having to register that these were the kinds of ranged weapons that not only weren't normally used by most fighters, but also, were capable of going faster than others such as Kasumi herself could throw kunai, not that she had brought any for the tournament, knowing that with the massive scope of it, she'd have run out of them quickly.

As the bullets came for her, Kasumi swiftly maneuvered herself out of the way of the zooming projectiles, speeding past them and right toward Parasoul faster than the blink of an eye. Still in the stage of gauging her opponent's strengths and weaknesses, Kasumi's mind process was still that of a testing one for the time being, though by no means slacking off. As she drew close to Parasoul, bringing her hands together and drawing them back briefly, she then quickly thrust them forward with the intent of bashing them into Parasoul with a fairly strong attack that was also conservative on her energy, naturally wanting to avoid expending it all so quickly.

"Gah!" Parasoul had no time to block the attack, Kasumi's speed surpassing her reaction time. It hurt, yes, but the princess refused to go down without a fight. Bringing Krieg, her umbrella, closed, she began unleashing a string of melee attacks on Kasumi. She had to strike first if she had any chance of winning.
Chapter 2 - Defeated but not forgotten

The first half of the fights had been finished. Some had been blatantly one sided, others had been close shaves. Whatever the case had been the victors now stood clear.

Honey Rose
Hilda
Spinal
Kasumi
Liselotte
Meitenkun

These six found themselves back at the brach house they had started in with a bottle of champagne waiting for them in a ice bucket.

"Congratulations on your victories." The unknown voice from earlier spoke to them yet again. "You are one step closer to your price and the title. None of you better get cold feet so late into the game. For now relax and enjoy yourself. You will be summoned to fight again in due time." The voice went silent leaving the competitors alone in the house once again.

---------------------------------------------------------------

In a rather surprising turn of event the six contestants that had lost were not sent back to their respective worlds after their defeats. Instead they found themselves on the beach outside of a hut that was a far cry from the villa they had been situated in previously.

"You are all probably surprised as to why you are still here." The female voice spoke. "It is quite simple. One of you will still have the opportunity to make it to the finals and earn your wish. Your accommodations however for the time being have been...downgraded. You too shall all fight again soon enough. Good luck."

As they voice went quiet if they went to inspect the hut they'd find the bare necessities inside. A cooking stove. A fridge, and following the backdoor they found a gazebo with hammocks tied up and in the middle a . It seemed to be their sleeping quarters.

Perhaps they were going to need them because both groups would find that the sun was setting and it started to get dark very quickly.

What the fighters chose to do next were up to them.

Later that evening, as it turned out, she just didn't make the cut. It was disappointing, yes, but Parasoul was grateful beyond compare for that second chance. It meant her kingdom had a second chance, despite her carelessness in the first round. There was no way she'd make a mistake this time, too.

One of the girls, Min Min, was it? had made some food. Politely making an excuse of being too tired to eat, Parasoul chose a hammock and settled it. This was far less cozy than what she was accustomed to, but no matter. She needed to focus for tomorrow and get back in the game.

"Huh."

Still wet from his lost battle, Cody didn't seem bothered by losing. Quickly plotting his self on the ground. The coldness of the ground didn't really seem to bother him. Lazy like, he put his arms under his head.

"So, it looks like us bunch of loser gotta a second chance, huh? So, how you all think this will go down? Battle royal free for all? That could be fun."

When the fight had ended, Kasumi and the other victors would evidently end up back where they were before. The kunoichi still couldn't tell if this was all supposed to be a mass hallucination or if they were genuinely transported to other worlds, or rather, arenas, for the fights, but either way, the power held by whoever the host was might be was clear.

Now, it was time to rest, at least, as the host instructed. And it was just as well; Kasumi could use such a rest after the good fight that Parasoul had put up earlier. She would have preferred water over alcohol, as she was never one able to handle her sake very well, so she opted to stay as she was for the time being.

Facing the other winners, she pursed her lips slightly. She didn't feel all that inclined to converse with them, not out of an urge to be unfriendly or anything, but because even someone as good-natured as her could feel the tension growing between everyone as the title for the winner of the tournament grew closer to all of their grasps, and even Kasumi had to admit that the thought of even attempting to befriend any of them might have undermined such efforts.

Venom was still dumbstruck over the fact that he had lost to the boy with the pillow. He hadn't even heard Mei Mei serving up noodles. Cody mentioning losers however got him to react. "I underestimated my foe, nothing more. I mistake I wont be doing with none of you."

"Oh wow...its getting dark outside...great time to...zzz..." Meitenkun had once again fallen face first unto the sofa. It was a miracle that someone like him was still part of the contestants.

Hilda Rize

Hilda appeared to have gone back to the usual spot she had been hanging out with, prior to the rather short-lived battle with Min Min, that is... Sipping on another soft drink of some sort.

It looked like she wasn't paying too much attention to the room around her, as per usual; she was more focused on who the next opponent could potentially be, all things considered.

While she had been instructed to rest, Hilda couldn't help but feel rather restless... Perhaps with the previous battle having been so short, she was still brimming with an urge to fight once more, even though it was going to be some time before another battle would come her way.

Maybe there was just some aspects of her that would never go away, even after her sanity was returned to her...
